So you are saying their is nothing wrong with the CPU putback tendency off of offensive rebounds? Your saying that AI teammates are using solid basketball fundamentals by boxing out rather than having me babysit them under the basket?

So why not tweak the sliders for a more competitive all star level base for yourself?
Did you use the POE's? Did you adjust to hide your teams weakness? Did you try to take away the Warriors strength?
I've found that everytime I've lost so far to be on me, not the CPU cheating but me relaxing and coasting, not adjusting and forcing the issue instead of taking what the CPU is giving me.
Take this game for example, I tried to play a high pace game against the Nuggets, when I should of slowed the tempo down and took better shots instead of trying to beat them at their own game/strength.
Their bench depth, blazers lack of depth and my turnovers resulted in my lost, not some system out to cheat me.
Use the tools available to you at all times!
I swear all they need to do is fix the fouls, offensive rebound putbacks, three point attempts, stats overlays/player of the game and not go backwards an dum the game down for the frustrated crew that refuse to adjust and play basketball instead of video games.Comment

Re: I think PRIDE is ruining this game for some people
Everyone who is still complaining...there are quite a few people having success/fun on SS/Sim.
If you can't do it, you're not ready to play on that level. Period. End of discussion.Comment

Re: I think PRIDE is ruining this game for some people
Had a good game on All star just now. Beat the bucks with the Pistons, it was a solid game. Held them to 42% while shooting 49%. Played good. I had practiced some new plays and some post up fadeaways with Monroe right before game and during the match I unlocked the 'Practice Makes Perfect' achievement. Thought it was funny.
Seriously this game isn't perfect but it is crazy realistc. Nothing is really predetermined. Everything is about reading and reacting, no two plays will be the same and you can exploit everything. It's very interesting.
And I'am not even an offline player. I find playing the CPU very boring usually.Comment

Re: I think PRIDE is ruining this game for some people
I agree, I tend to get real salty at loses but in the end I'm actually glad I'm finally losing games, contrary to years past where if I concentrated hard enough I could pretty much break the Bulls regular season record easily with most teams. The problem I have is that I play offense at SS level, while my defense is waaaaay behind. So when I play at AS, I tend to shoot too high of a % because I can relax a lot more and nail perfect jumpers which will always go down no matter how I set the sliders for myself. Just hope they tune the problems on SS because to me in the long run it just seem like the perfect level when it comes to shooting percentages.Comment

Re: I think PRIDE is ruining this game for some people
I play on SS/SIM and this level DOES NOT need to be tuned; its well done.
The power houses play like the power houses and the mediocre teams play as they should too. I'm a huge lakers fan and when I play a team like the t'wolves, I stomp em by 10 or so. I even dominated the Bulls by shutting down Drose. Even though I agree with the original post, I also want to make another point.
Most guys claim, sim sim sim but I think that's an ignorant statement. Being Sim means being meticulous, intricate, precious...NBA LIKE. Then I go watch youtube vids and 95% it's the exact opposite of Simulation. OS, there is lack of information out there. People here this term, look it up via YouTube, and then emulate this Rutgers park and 1 mixtape style of play. Even our highlights thread gives the wrong impression...What happened to the videography thread like madden has? Let's show these guys full games of how you plan, execute and follow thru.
I can't wait to get some damn Internet and I'll upload how well this game plays on SS/SIM.Comment

Yes, the putback tendency is too much. Certainly not a game breaker as people make it out to be. AI teammates box out just fine for me. They just lose the battles sometimes. Lower the difficulty to remove the attribute penalty they take. Better yet, lower the slider to adjust just that part, and you're styling.Last edited by Boilerbuzz; 10-16-2014, 08:27 AM.Comment

Re: I think PRIDE is ruining this game for some people
2k15 I started on SS bcuz that's what Czar suggested and I have yet to go to HOF bcuz SS is TOUGH and that's perfect for me. I've lost way more than I won but when I win it feels like I worked hard for win and it's satisfying. I hit a big shot at home last night to seal a win and I jumped up screaming like I was watching a real game (woke my kids up smh)
I read a thread on here when someone was trying to help another play defense by suggesting that they spend time in gameplan and set individual matchup settings and they said it's too tedious and time consuming....... that's part if the problem, can't just pick up sticks and play expecting to win without a gameplanComment

Re: I think PRIDE is ruining this game for some people
The general assumption you are making is that I am not using all the tools; I am. No tool in the world is going to help prevent shot clock cheese when curry is hitting turn around threes in my face. Or when there is a lose ball how all my AI teammates seem lost as to what to do. OR when I play 23 seconds of good D forcing a bad shot and david lee skies out of position to grab the board and get a easy two before I can even react. Heck there was even a time when ben maclomore came down with a rebound and the ball morphed out of his hand to draymond greens who then got a and-1. Please tell me whats the POE to prevent these things from happening?
They seem to work with me when it comes to CPU offensive rebounding, put backs, on ball defense and Big men skying (Vertical)
Also its a video game. Morphing is gonna happen. Unrealistic occurrences are gonna happen. Why? Because its a video game and there isnt a video game in existence that doesnt have stuff like this occur occasionally.Comment

Re: I think PRIDE is ruining this game for some people
Born done started up a firestorm by calling out the scrubby tendencies that people have relied on for years in this series. In the words of Slim Charles from The Wire "the game's the same, just got more fierce." I see this all the time when new players join our online leagues. They have a rough adjustment transitioning from ranked games to sim leagues; at first they're in denial about their scrubby skills that lead to constant blowouts; but slowly they come to acceptance and adjust to eventually become competitive with the vets. Will OS dig deep and look within? Or will the incessant complaints lead to the devs nerfing the game? Time will tell but I'm enjoying this thread from afar as I'm exclusively an online lg player, where human skill dictates outcomes and game recognize game.
