Tbis is what i thought he said also. Every allstar game ive tried ill start with a 10-20pt. Lead. Eventually they make a few runs but lose by 10.

Ill try some allstar sliders today. Only thing ive changed is fouls and 3pt tendency. New born in the house dont have alot of tinkering time.

Because not everyone cares that much about "simulation". Most people are willing to allow some cheesy things to happen in exchange for an easier way to increase the difficulty.

For people like you who are sticklers about "simulation" you would be better suited by playing at a lower difficulty level with slider tweaks specific to the issues you see.

I have a 6 mos old so I understand but there isnt a lot of tinkering to be done. The only issue I havent been able to resolve is the lack of fouls. Everything else is resolved or severely minimized by raising or lowering sliders a little bit.

Sorry im a story teller but i took steam pics of a few of them. It actually happens on all fadeaways towards the baseline. Have about 4 of lebron and a few from lance stephenson.

            Cpu just disrespectful.

Yeah....definitely upload all these through back board shots....if not for entertainment value, at least for the dev's to see...

The turnarounds on superstar are out of hand. You gotta front and double team any decent post player.

Btw have you seen the new settings besides front for the post player in the def settings ? There is 2 new settings, I dont' even know what they do.

Zach Randolph is one of the worst with the post fades on Superstar..

Anybody playing on Hall of fame and expecting realism is fooling themselves and I feel no sympathy for you. Why?

They specifically said over and again it's made to be extra difficult not realistic but yet these same people come here and complain while ignoring this message time and again..that's one setting we shouldn't even be talking about because we already know.

HOF is the epitome of stubborn, scrubby pridefulness when people complain about it. It's so silly, but if 2k instead called it "Nightmare Cheese Mode", more than half of these people would have NO problem playing on Superstar(renamed Super Simulation).

No one ever complains that there is a Rookie mode where people interested in having fun and seeing a well rendered NBA game can go without learning every little detail to win. On the flip, they want to limit the experience of people who want an unrealistically difficult challenge.

If it is possible to tweak the game to your liking, do that and enjoy yourself. Stop worrying about what the game should be out of the box under conditions you arbitrarily decide are important to you. It's ridiculous and selfish to want 2k to have LESS options for tuning the User gameplay experience.

It's as simple as the fact that the words "hall of fame" implies that if you are the best, you should be here. If 2k came out with an "Omega Mode" where all the players had super jumps and NBA Jam powers, there'd be millions of people who played that at parties. If you're sim, your concern is that you can have a sim experience offline and online.

Why be concerned about the options that you have the option not to choose?

But I'm not addressing the off-topic, straw man or whiney posts, because at some point it'd be hard not to be rude.

Re: I think PRIDE is ruining this game for some people

I just play on Pro/Sim and I enjoy the game thoroughly so far. Here's how I have allocated my time so far:

30% - Freestyle working on iso & different types of shots
10% - Blacktop 1-on-1 using Al Jefferson to work on post moves
50% - Scrimmage mode to go through running plays and trying to use my moves against CPU AI
                        10% - Play now games

I could run around and use the typical exploits to score and compete but I want to utilize all of the tools this game gives you so I'm taking my time learning the game and how to best use my players.

I have a feeling I'm going to end up on All-Star/Sim when I actually start MyLEAGUE.

I'm one who respects the steep learning curve and the depth of options you have your disposal. There's part of my that wants to dive right into MyLEAGUE but I know it'll be better to fine tune my game and be fully ready.

When I was younger I always had to play on the highest difficulty but I've grown up. I just want to have a fun, competitive game. I also used to cheese and exploit the heck out of the game to win.

Thank you for this thread Born.

                          So much truth in here.

I have been an Auto (CPU) Scrub for years. Mainly because I wanted the CPU to have a fighting chance. For the first time in a long time, I MUST make adjustments on All-Star/Superstar or I will lose.

Stubborn and prideful is right, but its too hard to admit that stuff.

I wanna play a "fun game" which is relative anyway because we all play differently, but as you said, then bump it down and use the sliders available.

What's that you say? You don't want to do that? Then why complain when you have all the tools but refuse to use them.

It's so funny because I watched both shakedown2012 and Chris Smoove both start their my player modes and when they got into their first games they both tried to use the same stuff and crossovers they did last year, only that's been tweaked so it didn't work.

Its not that im calling them cheesers, but the tendencies people have come out immediately over taking time to learn new nuances. I don't see how anyone could watch those Czar videos and and not be interested in seeing how it all works.

...and for your OP, here is a classic example. Im not trying to make fun of my boy, I just don't agree, but he just gave you a ton of ammo of EXACTLY what you're talking about.

Notice where he takes a jumper with Iggy, and says "see I missed that because 2k doesn't want me to get the lead" all while ignoring the shot meter is red. He's calling no plays, and hardly passing around for the best shot

                              Yikes HA!

And for everyone else, I didn't just make this thread to call people out. I'll admit, I've seen some disgusting vids, that's not what this is about. This is about getting people to look themselves in the mirror, admit that there is a lot to learn in this game, and be honest about whether they've learned it.

Shot Releases for all of your teammates, spot up, on the move and at the line
Your Go-to plays for your top 6 scorers on your squad.
Your defensive adjustments for all of the basic matchup problems that the League provides.

If people want this game to reach the highest level of competition, they cannot be allowed to preach and show lazy autopilot gameplay. The problems in this game do not excuse this. I very much want to be a part of a community that helps 2k(and any basketball game for that matter) reach that level, but if you cry enough scrubby tears 2k will deliver Simulac instead of Simulation.

....... Is this how you guys play that complain? If so,this is the reason why you're struggling. However, it was good for a few laughs.

Cliff notes as to the mistakes he made if anyone think the computer is "cheating" as he said.
                                -Never ran one set play
                                -Didn't utilize POE
-Over played John Wall the WHOLE VIDEO (Hilarious when John Wall toasted his *** with iso..."cheating")
-Didn't get back on defense (ALLOWING THOSE FASTBREAK) after shooting several three's (When you shoot a long J guys, manually pull your guy back up court immediately)
-If he did pull his guy back it was to half-court. He needs to be betweeen the top of the key and three point line. Playing against one of the most dangerous back courts in the league, you NEED to get back
                                -Never called a timeout
                                -Defensive settings
-Didn't utilize his teams strengths (Pick & Roll, Screens...freelance Triangle?)

Wow, I'm appalled. He even categorized his video as SIM balling?!
