I'm glad that I love in depth franchise modes so MyLeague works.
Aside from the regression issue, MyLeague is one of bright spots in gaming this year.
That doesn't happen. Every single time I've done a MyLeague/MyGM Lebron and Durant remain above 90 for several years. Lebron finally dropped to an 88 at the age of like 35 in my game which makes complete and utter sense. Damian Lillard is another I've noticed stays in the very high 80s late into their 30s everytime I've played. So this doesn't affect everyone from my playing.

Players like Rondo, Westbrook, Bosh, Carmello, Chris Paul, Dwayne Wade all finish their careers in the low 60s-low 70s which doesn't seem right. I think at one point the free agency section was FILLED with 50 OVR players that used to be role players. Anyone who starts around 75-80 eventually falls into free agency.

I think a large problem many are overlooking is that franchise greats like Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade, after their contract ends are available for less than 5million in free agency. That's not right and needs to be addressed. No where on gods earth does this ever occur. You don't even need to fix everyone just put somewhere in the code that Kobe won't take a contract less than 15 million because that's realistic.

This, I've probably simmed about 36 years of MyGM. I always stop at 2020 and majority of time what happens is non superstars get a really bad regression year 1, slight regression year 2 then lighter regression year 3 and so on. Superstars usually are great until they are in that 31-33 range. Russell at the age of 32 was still an 88 same with Dwight, Harden etc are still highly rated. Lebron was a 92 in 2020 Durant was an 89, Carmelo was a 83 at the age of 36. Now sometimes there were oddities like Steph Curry was an 77 at the age of 31, Cliff Paul falls off a cliff every time.

And completely agree about the contracts. They need to make like a badge like All-time greats won't take less money but Low ego will take less or something like that.

I really hope this doesn't affect mycareer for my guy. Because I must of been real baked and accidentally made him 27 years old lol

Just as a gauge, how many of us who are experiencing the regression issues are on X1 and how many are on PS4? And is everyone using the latest patch? And are you using 2K default rosters or custom rosters? And if using custom, what is the roster base if you know?

So are there no set levels or combinations of sliders than can dwarf how drastically players regress?

It's an issue in MyLeague as well.

I play this game on PC, it's shame there is no mod for this issue.

Leftos and 2kTeam, you must help us with this.

I highly doubt we'll see a fix for it this year, unfortunately. Hopefully they will dig into the issue and come up with a more robust and realistic progression/regression system for 2K16.

You're probably right. Sucks though. Feels like a slap in the face to not even say to us that it won't be fixed tho.

There must be somewhere inside the game a place where they wrote 27/28 yrs... It should be nice to have small patch to delay this from 27/28 yrs to 33/34 yrs...

How long in most people's my leagues does it take before this regression issue completely alters the demographics of the league? Obviously over time with guys dropping so quickly the league will become very young very quickly. I'm wondering how many years you guys think we can go before the league becomes too unrealistic (ie. every starter is under 25 and no 30 year olds are in the league?). If I get this game I guess I'll just play it for a season or two and then repeat as opposed to playing 10+ years into the future like I have before.

not high-jacking @vt but just feeling that a lot of this should be posted here as well so that the issue doesn't get under-minded and so that we directly address the NEED for a fix (i'll bare that cross). @Savoy did you hear anything back at ALL?

2 years for bigs and maybe 3 for pg -sf.

So what's the best solution to minimize the terrible regression?

Age editing in MyLeague, nothing akaik in MyGM or MyCareer.
