well…finally got around to playing some more online quick matches this morning. pretty much what i expected. my first two games cut out in the middle and i was awarded a loss for both, even though on the second match i had a lead when the game dropped. ugh. eventually i was i finally able to get in a full game…it was a bit cheesy but not as terrible as i expected. the other guy cheesed with Durant and Westbrook. Kind of just dribbling back and forth, jacking up jumpers or barreling into the paint to pick up cheap fouls. he had bit too much success with this strategy for my liking. he missed a decent amount of these shots, but made too many of them in my opinion, or got bailed out with cheap fouls on drives too often. eh. pretty much what I expected.

This is my experience at the rec . 2k is my favorite game but too many bailouts happen

This is what I'm talkin about. Parker shot a spin jumper from mid-range on his first shot, but check out the threes they take after that. And that's with the 3PT slider at 5. This is with the latest 2K roster, no changes whatsoever.

Wow, that's wild. I've played tons of games since the patch and never seen that a single time.

So before the patch I was able to shoot and had no troubles shooting. Now after the patch I can't shoot for nothing. I might have to play with real fg % I just don't want to take anything from the game but I can't keep getting blow out by 30 neither. I love the stat overlays. Does anyone know when the stat overlay will reflect your current season?

It's not as easy using Steph nowadays. That 3 is no longer as automatic as it once was! Klay seems to shoot better.

The simulation is unreal, dont get me wrong. But sometimes real Steph is more video game like than the most recent 2k Steph.

Seems to be harder to shoot as you mentioned.

Yeah.. It's never getting a patch. It's been a month already and no sight of patch. How hard can it be to make the shoe work again. Lazy devs.

My experiences are with quick match online, so take this for what it's worth.

Honestly, I feel like shooting is just so wildly inconsistent now. I can't shoot over 30% from three to save my life. The only team I can shoot well with is the GSW and I shoot around 70-80% from three with them despite playing the exact same way. I mean all I do is run a few plays, pass the ball around and look for good shooters who are open.

Too often do I miss wide open jumpers with really good shooters with near perfect releases. I've also noticed that at least once a game I'll make a shot with very early release and the shooting bar in the red. Add to the fact most people play zone and the game can be quite frustrating at times. Don't get me wrong, breaking down the zone and getting a shot with no one within 5-10 feet of you is incredibly easy. Having the ball go through the basket is another matter entirely.

It's pretty telling when 2k has an in-office tournament and the guy who wins (who is literally the gameplay produce) plays a zone the whole time.

Maybe they tried to lower shooting percentages in mypark and it somehow affected the whole game idk

I brick sooo many open shots . Then the servers piss me off. I know my release. It's been the same for months. But online changes the feel every game.

So now they're lazy because they haven't put out a FOURTH patch? No, it's a lazy argument by gamers that try to level that complaint against a developer, because they're unable to articulate a point of view from a practical standpoint and think they're justified because no one calls them out. Especially this developer and this game - 2K15 isn't perfect but it has probably the most content of any sports game this generation. And they have put out several patches for it.

But now because they haven't fixed this shoe issue with an additional patch yet, they're lazy. I'm not saying the issue shouldn't be fixed; just get tired of seeing gamers make these silly statements and proclamations because there's a few things they don't like and they don't appropriately weight those issues against the game as a whole.

Folks have a right to vent when a game has a broken feature and the developer makes no comment about correcting it after a month. 2K could provide some kind of a status or update. If they don't call out the developer who should they call out?

Good points. 2K puts out a game every single year with some of the most detailed and innovative (albeit buggy) modes in the entire sports gaming genre, and they're "lazy?"

The level of detail in MyLeague alone puts Madden to absolute shame, AND they have a My GM mode. No other sports game has a MyCareer mode like this, not even close; it could be its own standalone game with some more fleshing-out. The online modes are innovative and imaginative in a realm of gaming that sees the same games and the same modes released year after year. I could go on.

I can forgive 2K for not fixing a shoe issue when everything else is the best sports gaming experience money can buy by miles. Remember, they still have to put out another brand new game in 9 months too. I'm not saying they shouldn't be criticized, but calling them "lazy" isn't constructive or true.
