I'm new to next gen 2K gaming. Just got an Xbox One For Christmas! Finally no more old gen 2K gaming! However, so many things were better in the old gen 2k! We seriously need matchmaking back. The park is a great concept but is a huge no no for 2k. I'm constantly forced to wait til games are over just to have my turn. This is is silly in my opinion. We should be able to instantly play just as in the old gen street ball matchmaking. So far I've only been able to play 3 games. It's complete hell waiting to go up next just to play.

Wahou the patch 257 is great!! I could make a game against the Hawks 97 and what a pleasure to see blaylock, Steeve Smith mutombo.
I played just after the 93 final and barkley was funny!! I blocked him every time he shot! 15 blocks on him in the game it is si easy to block him because he is too small.
Phil Jackson Come back on the Bench and Classic paint are here like in 2k11.

.... Yes îm dreaming i play to the ps10 lol

If they dropped shooting fouls to 60 online play would be near perfect for me....way too many bailouts right now....especially against guys with a high draw rating...

LT works a lot better than hands up...but even with that it can get out of hand...

yeah, way too many cheap bailout fouls in the paint when the defender is just STANDING STILL. not all inside contact should be a foul, but that's pretty much how it is right now. i liked the fouls before the patch and i was worried when everyone started complaining about fouls that 2k would over-correct and there'd be too many "arbitrary" fouls, and that is exactly what's happened. we have random fouls happening where they shouldn't just for the sake of increasing the number of fouls per game, rather than it actually being based on the situation.

using LT or right stick in the paint both result in a foul about 80 percent of the time even if you're not moving or jumping. i have found the best way to avoid the fouls is to use neither right stick nor LT and simply to let off all sticks and triggers and just tap the block button just as the player is shooting (no turbo trigger, no LT, and without touching the left stick). this for me seems to be the best way to contest without getting whistled. basically just before the player shoots inside i make sure to let go of all triggers and sticks and then quickly hit the block button just as he's shooting. moving the left stick or turbo can result in a foul, but if you just hit the block button without touching the left stick, it seems to be pretty effective.

Hmmmm I've been holding LT and Y at the rim....maybe that's my issue.

Going to try the Y button naked and see if that works better...

just want to chime in that I'm loving this game this year. i've said it before, and I'll say it again - this game is a masterpiece. no, it is not perfect, and there are still some minor issues which i've mentioned in the wishlist thread and the patch impressions thread, but it's REALLY impressive and plays amazingly well. 2k has created such a balanced game - playing this game i almost never have those "controller-throwing" moments anymore, because things happen the way they should. the player that should get the rebound gets the rebound, the shots that should fall do fall, etc. you're not stuck in overly-long animations, you can break out of animations in just about every area of the game. contact happens the way it should and it's fair (i love the "air balled" dunks this year when someone tries to dunk with a defender cutting them off. this shows me that 2k is dedicated to realism and not just wanting to let people have a dunk fest all game). you don't feel like you're getting cheated by the game forcing some warping player animation or allowing the ball to warp where it shouldn't. the game just plain works. every area of the game has been fine tuned to be fair and very realistic (again, with some MINOR and occasional exceptions).

Yeah, when holding down LT everything means intense aggressive approach.

Played an interesting game last night, Bucks at Cavs (me). All-Star/Simulation with 12-min. quarters.

I got off to a hot start, taking an early 8-point lead. Then, after hitting a jumper, Kevin Love comes down on Larry Sanders' foot, rolls his ankle and is declared out for the game. With an already thin frontcourt, this certainly presented a few challenges for me. Milwaukee was able to grab control of the game as I searched for the right lineup combination and I believe they were up as many as 18 in the second half.

Late in the third quarter, I find the groove. Kyrie at PG, Dion at SG, Miller at SF, Marion at PF and LeBron at C. I figured I had nothing to lose at this point so why not go small and see if we can't attack the Bucks with speed on offense and defensively, we conceded shots in the paint by playing tight on all of the perimeter players.

                        It worked.

Running the offense through LeBron in the post was great; if he had space I'd make a move to the hole or create room with a step-back J. If a double came, it was an easy kick out to a shooter on the perimeter. While we gave up size defensively, the athleticism proved to be a benefit and steals led to easy fast-break points.

The Q was rockin' (big improvement over last gen in terms of the crowd reacting at appropriate moments) when LeBron threw down an alley-oop from Kyrie to give the Cavs a 3-point lead. Unfortunately, I couldn't hold the lead as the Bucks wound up hitting some big shots down the stretch and won by 6.

LeBron was a force; he finished with 40-12-8. Kyrie started really slow but finished with 18 points and 6 assists.

Still, it was a great game. It was really nice to see my in-game adjustments pay off.

yeah, that's one thing i really love about this game. there is still a sense of "momentum", but the momentum is not as crazily overpowered as it was in previous years. it felt like in previous years you could never come back once the other team got hot. now, if you are patient and make good decisions, you WILL come back almost every time. it feels great to see my good execution an good shot selection getting rewarded. that is key to my enjoyment of this game. effectively running plays and playing good defense is the way to succeed in this game (not 1-on-1 chucking). it feels iike momentum is tied to effectively running plays and having a balanced attack rather than doing one thing over and over. if you do too much 1-on-1 or too much of one thing, your team starts missing shots. if you run plays and get shots for multiple guys on your team, you'll succeed. i love it.
