Am I the only one seeing serious "What the HELL?!" issues with threes? I know people were complaining that the CPU didn't shoot threes, but Jesus freakin Christ.

I lowered the CPU 3PT tendency slider to 5, and Tony Parker (3PT tendency = 30) was chucking threes like Steph Curry on crack. Da eff...

I haven't seen it myself. Just finished a great game earlier All-Star/default rosters/shooting sliders all at 50; Portland (me) at Memphis. I was 6/14 from three, CPU was 5/12. Both teams ended 46% from the field.

I had raised the CPU Offensive Awareness to 60 and dunking tendency (CPU & HUM) to 70 because I wanted to see more attempts at finishing at the rim and see if the cpu would use dribble moves more/be more aggressive offensively. First game I played I felt cpu Mike Connelly tried to dominate the ball/score with the ball a little too much. Then i decided to play another game under the same conditions and cpu used the Memphis bigs with regularity as I'd expect them to.

I think because 2K's trying to implement variability in games, you have to play multiple games under the same conditions to determine if there's an issue (not saying you haven't of course). I love where my sliders are right now but thought I'd need to adjust. If I'd only gone on the first game I would've made changes to the cpu tendencies when they appear to be fine for the most part. I'm playing a game now against the Thunder where Westbrook and Durant are really hard to defend, and I'm loving it

Yeah man that's what I love about this game. I just played the Pistons 3 times in a short stretch with the Bucks in my chise and each game was a little different. One game was Drummond, one game was Butler, and one game was Monroe and Drummond (with Jennings jacking up bad shots of course). The CPU seems to recognize that the Bucks dont have great post defenders and they feed the post a lot on me. Both Gasol's, D Howard, and Monroe torched me. The CPU looks for the matchup they want to exploit or go with who's hot at the time. I play on all-star with the simulation game settings and a few of my own tweaks to shot success and thats it. I wonder if some of the previous poster's are using sliders with adjusted CPU tendencies. Anyhow, I love the game post patch and enjoy it more than any 2K game ive ever played. Im willing to just shrug aside some of the annoying things that happen every now and then because there's no such thing as a perfect game.

What's the best way to work on individual perimeter and post defense? By just playing quick games?

When PSN was down I played a lot of one on one in black top mode. It was fun and definitely helped my defense.

I'm using whatever the most recent official 2K roster is. It's going to depend on personal playing style but I find the 2K rosters to be excellent - I usually don't see the need to make any edits outside of shoe edits to a handful of players

This is what I'm talkin about. Parker shot a spin jumper from mid-range on his first shot, but check out the threes they take after that. And that's with the 3PT slider at 5. This is with the latest 2K roster, no changes whatsoever.

The Deny ball in this game is a joke. Passes go right through you or your guy just reacts to weird to tip the ball( which goes back to the offense anyway )

You have to go into Shoe Creator. Create the shoe then put it on that player. I only wish they would give you back the option to have home and away shoe choices.
