Got in a couple of NBA Today games. Wow! My overall impression is this game is awesome and a significant upgrade from the PS3/360. The facial scans and tattoo detail are incredible. The true shuffling of feet on defense is great to see. Courts look good and the lighting is good, albeit a little dark.
Played my first game Suns at Thunder (me) on Pro/Simulation. Game was close early but I wound up winning by 18. Durant is as good as advertised; can hit from anywhere and his jumper looks really good. Westbrook is a blast to use with his speed and size.
So, in my second game I bumped up to All-Star and Mr. Tony Parker took me and the Pelicans to school. The Spurs' offense was run so well by the CPU, something you didn't see the previous generation. I saw several nice drives and dishes by the CPU; in the past the driver would just continue on towards the rim, even if he's cut off by a defender.
Anyway, back to Parker. He was on fire from mid-range, pulling up numerous times to score. When he's not doing that it was screen and rolls or drives and kickouts to shooters on the perimeter. Just as you'd expect from Tony.
Anthony Davis was a blast to use but he could only do so much. Not a bad guy to build a team around, though.
Looking forward to playing more.
