Re: NBA 2K15 PATCH #3 IMPRESSIONS THREAD

Got in a couple of NBA Today games. Wow! My overall impression is this game is awesome and a significant upgrade from the PS3/360. The facial scans and tattoo detail are incredible. The true shuffling of feet on defense is great to see. Courts look good and the lighting is good, albeit a little dark.

Played my first game Suns at Thunder (me) on Pro/Simulation. Game was close early but I wound up winning by 18. Durant is as good as advertised; can hit from anywhere and his jumper looks really good. Westbrook is a blast to use with his speed and size.

So, in my second game I bumped up to All-Star and Mr. Tony Parker took me and the Pelicans to school. The Spurs' offense was run so well by the CPU, something you didn't see the previous generation. I saw several nice drives and dishes by the CPU; in the past the driver would just continue on towards the rim, even if he's cut off by a defender.

Anyway, back to Parker. He was on fire from mid-range, pulling up numerous times to score. When he's not doing that it was screen and rolls or drives and kickouts to shooters on the perimeter. Just as you'd expect from Tony.

Anthony Davis was a blast to use but he could only do so much. Not a bad guy to build a team around, though.

    Looking forward to playing more.

Player of the game and box score highlights don't work now on my game.

              Questions

              1) What does "ICE" mean when choosing how to handle a screen?
              2) Does what you choose to react to a screen only matter when a player is in control of the ball?
              3) How do you place a player on the trade block?

              Thank you in advance.

How do you download the latest roster updates? Where is 2K Share? Do you need Plus to access the roster files?
should be automatic if your online, but when you go into the menu to play a game, where you have the options of NBA today, quick game etc, you should see an indication on the bottom of the screen to press a button for rosters, there you can download the latest roster, roster without injuries and other custom rosters.

New animations problems like being stuck moving forward, MP store broken so you can't equip any sneakers, additional bugs like defenders pushing you out of bounds for a turnover, glitchy ball, still no way to view the playbook/edit plays/change the playbook in MC, new fatigue system that makes you half the speed of the CPU when you are sub 80% stamina, long passes being nerfed so any teammate throwing even a half-court pass either goes out of bounds or forces you to stop ruining a fast break, the removal of the "stunned" animation after picking someones pocket...

These aren't complaints. These aren't excuses for not being able to beat the HOF CPU because I clearly can. These are facts. A majority of which have been brought on since the patch. I had next to no issues besides rebounds being tied to momentum pre-patch. The game took a serious step back. I would gladly take the old shot fatigue system and no way to walk with the ball if I had the choice to go back to the game pre-patch.

Were the net/rim sounds fixed in the patch. Things sound different to me. Not sure if it is my imagination

                        I dont hear any difference.

But the rim physics definitely need overhauling for next year.

I just had to come back in and say post patch this is probably the most balanced and realistically difficult sports game I have played. I have played every single game at SS Sim and have not touched a single slider in this game.

                          • They have balanced the game play as about as well as it can get.
                          • Rebounding is balanced not perfect but really balanced and that it about all I can ask for until 2K16
                          • Shooter shoot and chuck shots who do so in real life. It feels so good to see Westbrook just come down and chuck a 3pt shot in transition.
                          • Golden State were a little cheesy by the CPU prior to this patch but after this patch. I can say that they are way more realistic again without touching a single slider. The real difference is the transition 3's

The only thing I wished they fixed or addressed was the glitched shots on Superstar and higher

Played someone online. He had Clippers. I had 76ers. I don't know WHAT type of defense some folks play online man. Maybe they are in a 3-2 but then they try and double team so the whole paint is open. I couldn't believe the open layups I got. I won, I know he had to have been mad that he lost to the damn 76ers. I might just run with them for here on out man.

But yea, game feels great. Only thing I hated is he shot like 14 FTs with CP3. He just forced his way into the paint. Spin, Spin, Spin. Shoot, foul. It was frustrating and so damn cheap.

I said the EXACT same thing a few pages back...I've noted they've toned down the "clanging" of the rim sounds (minus the dunks)...and physics (rim/net/ball) seem to have more variation and fluidity...

I'm going to sound so stupid here but I can't find to change the socks length of a player, when I go to edit a player the last option I'm given is like to give an ankle brace, wheres the part to change sock length (playing in mygm btw)
