Im convinced the added "weight" momentum is what makes this game unenjoyable. Good idea horribly executed.

Take it out of the game. Sure other players should not be as fast as another but this weight stiff makes player mover extremely weird. And i dont even use turbo anymore except on breaks

Unfortunately the fastbreak brickwall defender is back.

Barea stopped Lebron on the break, coming full steam

Yeah the contact is a joke, I couldnt get griffin to dunk in traffic at all with a full head of steam, hed go for some BS 2 hand layup and miss it.

The charges are broken too, all u have to do is stand in front of some1 driving and press B for charge.

You SHOULD be able to get charges at half court, it seems they have been taken out all together. If the offensive player is stupid enough to run into a stationary player it should be called, its not that hard to avoid with the ball. All you had to do was press Y on xbox 2k13 when dribbling the ball and it wouldn't be a charge

Id really like to know how many people who worked on 2k11,2k12,2k13 are still involved with the game. Because its straight up busted in my own very personal opinion.

You said I agree with you 100%. The game is totally busted and makes no sense at all. They threw a shot meter in there and I tell you it don't clock up to where the players release points were in previous 2ks. I run with the knicks always and it seems I have to release the shot a whole lot later in order to make a shot now. I know because it was just a visual before in previous 2ks by looking and the players release point which was normally at the top of his jump shot. Now it don't make sense. Looking at the players hands don't do it. It seems as if we are almost releasing as the shooter is coming down from the jump...SMH!! Further more the shot meter is under the player and half of the time it cant be seen if he is in traffic and if you play on a broadcast view which I like to. If the shot meter is the determining factor it needs to be seen at all times. 2k really didn't take time to test this thing out at all.

I think rebounding is now completely broken post patch. I can't get get an offensive rebound while CPU gets everything. Had no problem with rebounding pre patch.

Oh and how the hell do you play defense now? Any advice?

As far as I know, pretty much the entire team, and then some.

2K12 and 13 were the worst of the series from 2k11-2k15. If anything, 2K15 after patch is the most complete and functional game in all areas since 2K11, and 2K11 had the glaring problem of all perimeter defense, modeled as bumping, being actual fouls in the modern NBA. Essentially it was 3-4 fouls on every possession.

2K11: Ushered in the new 2K era, mostly balanced, but incorrect bumping defense implementation, with HOP STOP being the go-to cheese move.

2K12: CPU defenders had no momentum, bigs would slide to stay in front of guards, rendering mismatches completely ineffective. Live ball was unrealistic and out of control. Probably the worst of the series from 11-15. Also spin-dunks were unstoppable. I think fast breaks were also completely broken.

2K13: No blocks. Removal of two-player dunk-on animations just meant two-player dunk-on non-animations where the defender was slide out of the way of dunks with no reaction.

2K14 (last gen): Improved 2K13 with better blocks. I think it also added the bounce pass, which completely changed the feel of fast breaks.

2K14 (next gen): Spruced up version of last gen. Slightly rougher/less smooth movement. Had its own feel.

2K15: Post-patch, probably the most complete basketball sim with the most control in all areas, and the most balanced-- but I need to spend some more time with it.

Everyone is way too fixated on the meter. I like it as a guide on how good one's release is but people somehow think close = automatic make.

Question is, are you getting realistic FT percentages for Durant with consistently good releases? If so, it's working as intended.

It's not the meter. I dont have to look at the meter. I'm shooting the same shot over and over again. Prepatch i could guarantee you that almost every ft i took with Durant was a perfect release.

Another example: Same with Cp3. Easiest Freethrow Timing in the game.

after the patch there are now too many fouls on inside contact, and it feels random now. pretty much any contact or defense in the paint is called for a foul now…even the neutral "hands up" stance is whistled as a foul most times. this makes it too easy to for people to cheesily barrel into defenders and pick up free throws without having to find an actual lane to the hoop. the only time it should be a foul on interior contact is if the defender is MOVING or JUMPING at the time of contact (if the user is moving the left stick toward the ball handler and thus CREATING the contact.). other wise, it should not be a foul and should just be considered good defense.

if the defender is stationary and does not jump, that is simply good defense and there should be no foul (even with "intense d" trigger held down). if the defender isn't moving into the ball handler or jumping, it should NOT be a foul.

there are too many missed dunks where the defender is behind the dunker and barely touching his back. you shouldn't be able to make a guy miss a dunk by barely grazing the back of his jersey. enough with the missed dunks from minimal contact from behind.

there are also too many missed dunks when the defender comes over very late to contest when the dunker is about to put the ball down into the hoop. by that point the defender is too late and the dunk should be automatic...it's just not realistic to contest a dunk that late into the dunk motion. when the dunk animation already has ball 5 inches from the rim, you're not going to make him miss that dunk by that point.

i do love the "missed air ball dunks" though. these missed dunks are good and make sense because they happen when the defender cuts off the dunker at the gather point of the dunk and stops his progress. these make sense because they're realistic and prevent people from doing those cheese "dunk on" animations from previous years. i love it because it forces people to have an actual LANE before barreling into defenders trying to do cheesy "auto-dunks."

I'd rather have what we have now than what we had before with next to no fouls.

Least now it resembles a basketball game.
