Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
The only games I play are Madden and 2K. They are the reason I bought the xbone. This not getting the patch puts me in a pickle. I'm used to being disappointed in Madden. But this one takes the cake. I think OS needs to segregate the systems. Make it password protected where I cannot see or read the impressions for how much fun the PS4 guys are having. It's like my older brother got the Super Soaker 2000 that will shoot water 25 feet for Christmas and my parents got me the little one dollar water gun that will barely shoot 8 inches. For an alltime legends team on xbox, search usertag haughtypine7723

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
This issue also affects users who have already downloaded the patch. I live in USA, so I already DL'd the patch, but I also have a lot of European friends on PS4. We can no longer play 2K online together since the patch. It's been a week now, and it sucks not being able to play any online modes with my friends because of a messed-up patch process.
This same situation happened the first two weeks the game came out. So add it up, and that is three weeks we have been unable to play together online. We all paid good money for this game, yet we are unable to use all parts of the game because of a sloppy patch process. Not very cool at all...
2K is the only game I own that goes through this ridiculousness. It's amazing how other games release a patch, and everyone is able to DL the patch at once on PS4. Yet 2K still wants to blame Sony. I'm not buying it.Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
I'll probably take some heat from this because I'm an admin but here is what frustrates me the most:
The marketing team comes on here for two reasons: 1) To hype whatever game they are releasing. 2) To collect information from our users to improve the game and get a pulse on what features are most important to OS users.
In exchange for that information, the users expect that the marketing team will keep us reasonably informed about issues affecting the game and use the same amount of energy they use to hype the game to update us on any major issues are going to be addressed. Its kind of an unspoken understanding.
Now I understand that the marketing team doesnt need to participate at OS. They can hype the game plenty at other forums and on twitter. They can lurk at OS without ever posting and collect info about features from OS posters. But we tolerate a lot of broken promises and over hyped announcements because we trust that the marketing team will keep us updated in situations like this.
So here we have a situation where the marketing team announced a patch was submitted over 2 weeks ago.
They gave us a timeline when the patch would be released for all systems.
When we started to get close to the end of that timeline, a member of the team said he would look into it and update us......
......and we havent heard from him since.
We are now past the deadline and are at the 15 day mark with no update. I will be happy as hell when the patch comes but I wont forget this. I love having the devs here because they offer us insight into the game and allow us input into things that could be changed.
But I dont feel the same way about the marketing team. This situation seems one-sided where they can come to OS, hype games, features and content all they want but when it comes to doing the OS users an actual service...they disappear.
If they dont have a substantive update, the least they could do is come here and say "Sorry guys. No update. Still waiting to hear from MS". But its been 5 days since we were promised an update and we've heard nothing.
This is just my take on it and the other admins and the owners of the site may disagree.Last edited by aholbert32; 12-16-2014, 10:51 AM.Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
I completely agree with you aholbert32. The main problem I have is that I have no idea what the problem is. If they came out and said it was rejected or broken or something then at least I would know what is happening. I feel like a little kid whose parents don't tell him anything. I love 2K and have played every one since 2K9 but I have to say if eventually NBA Live catches up to 2K (although it may be a while) I will consider buying that much more than I would have before this.GT: minibeast100

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
No offence to OS but I'm glad a mod has said this.... Before this thread I think people were worried about getting banned for expressing these sort of sentiments!Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
Its all about how you say it. No one gets banned for saying the truth. Now if I said "That f****** marketing team lied to me...where is my ******* patch?" Thats a ban.Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
One other thing. For all u guys who have Twitter, I think you should tweet the team until we get some kind of update. Maybe that is the best way to get some news.Comment

No matter how it's been worded, even in a new thread, the only thing that has been done was shut down the thread and brush off the way we feel. With you saying this, it makes it much better because this thread will still alive and we are being backed by authority around here.
