I believe I know whats going on here. The reason 2K/Microsoft/Gaming Gods have delayed the XB1 and other regions' release is because they're patching the dreaded regression issue in MYGM/MyLeague!?
Thats gotta be it guys. 2K feels like we XB1 users in particular have been so short sided with PS4 users getting their patch a week ago, that they've decided to reward our tortured wait with an even better patch that will also fix the regression issue. I call it The Patch 3.5 Theory. Its the only logical explanation, right? *sigh*

I'm losing it over here man. I cant eat. I cant sleep. I need my bball fix NOW

If this was true, which I would like by the way, there is no reason not to tell us. The biggest issue here is the lack of communication from both 2K and Microsoft. Also, why not just send out the major patch and send out the smaller one a few days later. It's a good idea, but some stuff still just doesn't make sense.

If that's the case, wouldn't we have to wait longer because they're promoting some new face scan and isn't that going to also require a patch? I'm fed up with this altogether.

Im so angry, when the patch does come out , im going to pretend like i dont want the patch anymore. Sigh! Us grown man acting like spoiled brats. Lol. I thought i could tough it but i cant. I need my nba 2k fix.

One thing that may have slowed down the process for XB1 is the amount of submissions that were in the queue. This same thing happened with a patch for The Golf Club and HB Studios said that was an issue.

This is very annoying. Other companies release their patches worldwide at the same time.
This is 2014; if you release a patch in the US we in Europe are gonna get the info at the same time, but then having to wait for it is just absurd.
