Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
So I just tried the thing with player progression at 20 and player training at 60 and still only 2 yes 2 guys in the whole league at 30 or older didn't get worse and even a lot of guys at 28-29 got worse and even a few guys at like 26-27 got worse. Then for the heck of it I tried both sliders at 100 and 18 guys at 30 or older didn't get worse and even a few guys at like 33-35 staid the same but with both of those at 100 to many guys are getting better and by like 4-8 points so I am going to try something else right now.Comment

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
So update after my last post. I just spent like 3 hours simulating and trying like a million different combinations with the player progression slider and the player training slider and I can say nothing really fixes this. With both of them at 100 or close to 100 on both regression looks a lot better but then you have to many young guys improving by big numbers ever year. If you do any another combinations not matter if you do 40 and 60, 60 and 40, 100 and 50 ect like 98% of players who are 30 or old get worse and no matter what like 75% of players who are like 28-29 get worse. The truth is player progression is just broken in this game. It really sucks because this game plays great but when you have to not even singed guys who are 27 to longer then like a 1-2 year contract it really makes the mode unrelisitc. I guess in this game you have to have a team with ever one being like 27 or younger. There is no way that 2k didn't see this to has all it takes is one simulation to see that it is really messed up. I can say after this has great has the game is there is about a 90% changes I will not buy nba 2k16.Comment

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
Will post a longer list and settings later, but I started a new MyLeague and I'm just not seeing this regression bug with default rosters.
Gasol dropped a whopping one point after year 1. In year 4 he was 83 overall at age 33, I think. I think Bogut dropped 2 OVR, hardly unreasonable.
I compiled a list of quite a few guys aged 28-32--most guys under 30 did not drop, and guys between 30 and 32 tended to drop 1-2 at most, with some 3-4 point drops.
I actually have other concerns in year 5--too many good players, and especially inflated 3 point ratings.Comment

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
But guys who are 30 SHOULD get worse. Are you saying that they shouldn't?So I just tried the thing with player progression at 20 and player training at 60 and still only 2 yes 2 guys in the whole league at 30 or older didn't get worse and even a lot of guys at 28-29 got worse and even a few guys at like 26-27 got worse. Because that's very unrealistic.Comment

Yes sir..after reading some of your quotes, you have a lot of knowledge of this. im really starting to believe that some of us doesn't understand how things works..2k system is the closest thing to real life, it may need a little touch up, but i'm loving how things are playing out. i have tried to find out and search around for this regressing problem..no luck.Comment

Honestly, you're flat out lying. There's been hours upon hours upon hours of research done on this. It's a major issue.Yes sir..after reading some of your quotes, you have a lot of knowledge of this. im really starting to believe that some of us doesn't understand how things works..2k system is the closest thing to real life, it may need a little touch up, but i'm loving how things are playing out. i have tried to find out and search around for this regressing problem..no luck.Comment

You're just flat out lying. Again hours upon hours of research has been done. it's a large issue, it exists. 2k even acknowledge that it was a problem around Christmas by saying they were looking into it. If it didn't exist there'd be nothing to look into.Comment

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
Try player progression at 30, in season training at 70, season ending injuries at 0, injury effects and injury frequency at 40 for user and cpu. My draft class quality is at 7, for those who may care... That fixes all of your regression problems. Injuries have a HUGE effect on regression as Madmaxx noted. I guarantee this will work.So I just tried the thing with player progression at 20 and player training at 60 and still only 2 yes 2 guys in the whole league at 30 or older didn't get worse and even a lot of guys at 28-29 got worse and even a few guys at like 26-27 got worse. Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
Don't waste your time trying to help..i realize that they want to control who should regress a little, and who shouldn't progress to fast..it will never work out because it's random anything could happen..thanks for sharing.Try player progression at 30, in season training at 70, season ending injuries at 0, injury effects and injury frequency at 40 for user and cpu. You're a piece of work. If I post a screenshot, will you believe me? I'd like to know before I waste my time.Comment

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
Injuries are indeed really key.
Leg injuries can cost a guy 3-5 points on speed, quickness, lateral quickness, and vert. Young guys can regain them, but if a 29 year old breaks a leg or even twists an ankle, it can cause significant athleticism loss and OVR regression.
One thing I've done that seems to help is really lower injury effects.Comment
