Re: MyLeague Online Discussion (Great dev post kickoff)

I've begun to design how my online association will be ran. It all seems possible due to custom rosters and a lot of hard work and determination. Loved some of the great ideas found in this forum.

The online league community will go thru great lengths to make it work. I am hopeful of a couple of screenshots from online my league is possible. It would be nice to see what the league looks like and some of the commissioner tools/player personal tools. If this is truly a brand new experience we would love to see it!!

Yes....the roster we use in our league is custom only in the sense that we add the rookies to them. We use the 2k official rosters as a base so members can't complain about arbitrary ratings based on the whims of a professed roster guru. The 2k rosters are much maligned in the offline circles but for head to head play on hof sim in an OL format, we have never had issues with them. If anything, it's the reckless assignment of badges to players who don't deserve them that causes the most issues when it comes to online league gameplay. I do realize that 2k took steps to correct this when they did a global roster update that included a badge assignment overhaul as well.

Anyways, you can always search for GT amedawg00 on 2kshare for our league rosters. We save the community a whole lot of time by doing the progression and regression edits from season to season, based off of accurate myleague offline simmed data, so if you're on xb1, then you're in luck!

Amedawg, Ataman, Knickstape do you guys have a Twitter? They're asking who should they fly out to Communty Team-Up. I know it's a stretch because they love the big YouTubers with 80k (+) subs but I'm still recommending we have someone from Sim Nation to hold us down. I'm requesting you guys...and of course myself[emoji57]

Would love to go but getting the game early shouldn't be an issue as usual; plus I'm all out of leave for the year. Gotta get back on then grind after a long summer vacay lol. I voted for Sam Pham and Jerzymade93 though. If selected, OA nation will have a front row seat at the table for sure!

Hi amedawg00. Appreciate that we will be able to access your custom rosters. I know the game isn't out yet but as someone who has never messed with rosters in anyway how would this work?

So after the first season of myleague online has finished do I just find your roster in import it into my league for the following season? Will this not erase my roster for yours? Do you do the FA players too? Or is that something I would have to adjust myself afterwards. Apologies for all the questions, im just trying to figure out how me and my mates can get a fresh FA list and keep our rosters the way they are after each season.

You download the roster and upload it to your myleague online. It will overwrite your league rosters so you will have to move players around to account for the trades and transactions in your league. The fact that the downloaded roster will contain progressions and regressions is the most important thing because it will be manual labor that your league doesn't have to do.

New to myleague online this year is commishioner approval of trades so you will have complete control over the trades and transactions to reflect your league rosters after downloading and uploading the edited progressed and regressed roster. This is much easier to do than the tedious progression and regression edits obviously. One involves moving players around and the other involves dozens of individual attribute ratings increases and decreases. Hope that helps clear up any confusion.

If we could get an offline myleague roster export feature, it would be a game changer for this mode, but it has been ruled for this iteration but is being considered for future iterations. Then again, if the offseason makes its way to myleague online for 2k17, as we fully expect, then that feature would be a moot point and no longer necessary.

Question for whatever 2k dev or community guy visits this thread: Will online user controlled defender Icons/indicators be on xbox 1 this year. This has been missing from 2k since nextgen started but present on PS4. This is necessity in some leagues.

PS4- you can see user defenders

Xbox one- cannot see user defneer

Us guys on XBOX would love for this to return this year for online play.

Will we be able to manage teams advancing to playoffs and playoff matchups ?

What i mean is after the season games end the matchups are automatically created there i want to jump in and make some necessary adjustments in order to be sure who's gonna be advancing to playoffs and editing matchups.

                          Thanks.

Whats the difference between this, and doing an offline league, doing all the trades, simming the season to get progression, saving that roster, then uploading it to myleagueonline? Is there a different between custom roster, and a saved offline franchise roster... or is it not possible to just save a roster from offline franchise?

                            Thanks!

I wish it was that easy [emoji1]. Unfortunately you cannot export or save offline myleague rosters. This feature alone would be the biggest stop gap and bridge to a fully featured OA with an offseason if implemented; but alas, we pitched it as a potential addition via patch, but was ruled out for 16 by the devs for fear of breaking or glitching the mode.

                                Thanks.
I hope in the ETC, ETC, ETC, ETC part of simballers post that admins have the ability to determine playoff seeding. We all know that in online leagues, sometimes user activity and games played is weighted into the playoff seedings so this is a high priority admin option that is hopefully there when the game ships.

                                Make Rotational adjustments
Implement Gameplans (and everything that comes with that)
                                Utilize custom playbooks
Adjust gameplay sliders (at the admin level)
Adjust MyLEAGUE-specific sliders like Trade Negotiation Difficulty (at the admin level)
                                Custom Roster support
Control everything as an admin (trade approval, force winners, force losers, reset games, etc. etc. etc.)
