Man poor Joe Dumars! How does that get by anyone?

Quick story about how much the classic teams mean to a lot of gamers. When I saw older teams were in 2k11, I went to pick it up the first full day of release. I hadn't done that in years. I go up to the counter & the guy looks at me with this huge grin on his face & says "man the minute I get off I'm going home & playing with Isiah Thomas & the Pistons! Those were my boys!" He was so excited! I got excited! Developers should not skimp on the legend teams.

I don't know much about the process but can't they bring Jordan in to capture his face & simply de-age him using old images for reference?

I remember! I played video games on the computer since 1983. And back in the 90's, when NBA Live was looking different on the PC every year. Live 1997 was like a new generation over Live 96. Live 98 was a big leap as well. Live 99 (my favorite) was when they've made it graphically, that game was gorgeous. Not sure how all these games looked on consoles, but on PC it was like a new generation of consoles for 3-4 straight years.

Then I bought a PS2 in 2003 and the rest is history. I don't play PC games anymore, unless it's an old game that doesn't have a console version, and I must have it (pretty rare).

I actually didn't buy 2K16 since I've been a bit off of it. More into the open world action games now (Mafia, WD, JC). However, I love collecting the games I never played years later. I will buy some of these newer 2K's either when they're cheaper or when I decide it's time to go back in time.

Still enjoy watching the videos and reading the info. It's still exciting, even if I won't be playing it so soon.

Um...what was the question? Oh yeah...MJ, now I remember.

That created model of Bruce is better than most scanned players in NBA2K. That's saying a lot. Head to toe better.

The Devs do come around here and read some of the stuff - I pressed for ages about getting the '96 Bulls their alt black/red pinstripe uni's for ages - they finally got patched into the game a couple of months back.

Can only hope this thread has gained enough momentum for them to realize that the legends do have issues that need fixing and the game just isn't about 'online' play.

Well guys......if a 163 page thread ain't gonna do it..... nothing will.

                  Yet somehow, I'm still skeptical.

Wait what? The alternate black/red pinstripe uniforms are available for the 96 Bulls?

Yeah they added a few classic teams alternates, I think they added the Magics black alternate too.

                        Yep.

Problem is, if you're a roster editor like me, they weren't able to 'plug' the jerseys into existing saves, so you effectively have to start from scratch with the latest 2K roster in order to be able to use them.

Yup - they added the Magic's alt uniforms too.

My brother and I would discuss the idea of having authentic team jerseys, but then we'd laugh off that idea as being too unrealistic because the players were too small to fit the art (obviously we had no concept of a 3-D environment at that time).

Then again, on the other hand, signature moves first debuted in the early 90's yet after NBA Showdown, we wouldn't see them included in a basketball game until NBA 2K7. Over a decade of shunning one of the coolest features a basketball game could offer.

Still, sometimes I picture an NBA Showdown player running down the floor, all pixelated with his generic white jersey and square haircut. And then I look at a photo like this and I'm like, you know, we've got it pretty good here:

Then again, there's other times where, if 10-year-old me caught a glimpse of future Joe Dumars, it'd serve as nothing more than a healthy dose of nightmare fuel.

                          But still.
Wow, that Joe Dumars came right from Resident Evil. I'm sure about that.

If they're not going to fix certain details, then I would at least enjoy the option of more user customization.
                              -shorts length
                              -arena customization across all modes
                              -goggles
-scorebug (just give us the options present in 2k12)
-FILTERS- how easy is it to bring these back? WWE 2k gives you the option for each arena.

Seeing as this is the third season I've started with the Bulls and 2k17 is just round the corner, I think this season was the shortest option - 29 games I believe? It's definitely not higher than that. Think I'm around 7 games in so far.

I hate the way the game 'cheats' when you raise the difficulty, so I play on pro/all star with my own sliders. Been getting a lot of blow outs lately, but I did get stuffed by Washington the other day.
