Seeing as this is the third season I've started with the Bulls and 2k17 is just round the corner, I think this season was the shortest option - 29 games I believe? It's definitely not higher than that. Think I'm around 7 games in so far.

I hate the way the game 'cheats' when you raise the difficulty, so I play on pro/all star with my own sliders. Been getting a lot of blow outs lately, but I did get stuffed by Washington the other day.



I'd be more than happy with that as a start!

Anyhow - still hardly anything, marketing wise from 2k - I think at this point it's safe to say the legends have probably been shunned again this year.

Actually 2K is not talking about the game at all. They are just slowly realeasing some screenshots from players and that is it. I find it disrespectful, but 2k doesn't need too much marketing anymore to sell their product is seems.

Agreed. For all the griping and belly aching, most folk here will still buy the game.

Just wish that 2k would be a little more forthcoming with info for a game that releases in just 4 weeks - we've pretty much had NOTHING from them.

Great, I'm curious on how the playoffs will pan out.

You know I've really limited my expectations in regards to the legends. Seems like they milked them then threw them on the backburner. Aside from what Jordan has done for the sport itself, he played a big part in 2k fully taking over as the number one basketball franchise. I do think they were well on their way regardless but he gave them that push.

The least they can do is get the accessories done right, facial hair depending on the year, & most importantly his playing style. Since it seems they totally don't care about his actual player model.

Yep.

Problem is, if you're a roster editor like me, they weren't able to 'plug' the jerseys into existing saves, so you effectively have to start from scratch with the latest 2K roster in order to be able to use them.

Yup - they added the Magic's alt uniforms too.

I got excited until i saw the video
They just patched in the 2016 version of the pinstripes instead of the 1996 version with the nba logos in the right places. Hopefully its corrected in 2k17

Yeah of course they did, lol - this is 2k. They aint about to waste anytime doing stuff for the legends when they've got mypark/mycareer to worry about....

So looks like we've got nothing new this year, in terms of legends.

Seen a few people who've had access to the game say there are no new teams.

Wonder if we'll actually have any other players besides Pip & Ewing who've had an overhaul, visually?

I've got two weeks and two days worth of hope left.....

That they recreated an old photo of the Dream Team only highlights how off some of the models are. Larry Bird at least KINDA is in the ballpark for once & I think Ewing, Barkley, & Robinson are decent. Everyone is a bit too beefy. John Stockton isn't close. Malone might be close if he had more hair. I love that they're in the game believe me. Just wish they'd improve their looks. Hopefully, they've got better signature styles to make them feel unique from one another.

if you only look at the 2k screenshot, it's not that bad. however when you compare it with the actual photo, you want to cry. it's just really, really bad.

Looks the same as 2k16. Although the seem to have dramatically improved Steve Kerr's player model and it's hard to tell from the quality of the footage but Pippen's player model looks a little different as well.

Also the Raptors look exactly the same as 2k16 Carter still is too dark and doesn't look very good and McGrady is his Rockets player model again instead of young McGrady.

Seems to floaty and on skates to me. Never found him authentic in recent 2ks

I have pretty bad memories of Steve Kerr from last year. I swear his hair looked ridiculous; will have to look back. He looks pretty sharp now.

Edit: Found a shot for comparison. Outstanding upgrade. Hopefully a sign of some other improvements.
