Also, MJ's definitely looked worse. Still not 1:1 or anything, but it's solid from this particular angle.

Its the exact same face.... Kerr Looks much better tho

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?

Thanks for posting the video. Kevin Willis looks pretty bad. After MJ's layup, looking at the closeup shot after the basket, I was trying to see if his calf sleeve has been fixed. Looks like there is a gap between the sock and the sleeve, but it still looks too long.

      My Specs:

      ZX Spectrum
      CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
      GPU: Monochrome display
      RAM: 48 KB
      OS: Sinclair BASIC

Edit: Found a shot for comparison. Outstanding upgrade. Hopefully a sign of some other improvements.

        2K16:

        2K17:

Also, not a bad MJ from this quick angle.

I can't believe how bad Steve Kerr looked last year. Great to see an upgrade though. Knew they were capable of so much better.
Lighting does look better from those screens.

A lot of the Raptors guys look horrible...I'm not a fan of Vince's face either.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Dude.. Vince's face in historic is miserable. Looks like a generic ps2 medium skin face.

This thread is depressing as always though..2k just doesn't prioritize historic teams.. they understandably have more demand in the popular myplayer stuff

Again......they make changes to players like Kerr, Ewing and Pip yet don't work on the GOAT??

This is utterly ridiculous - it looks to be exactly the same model from 2k16.

Oh well, I didn't really expect anything less.

Same old **** - legends just pushed to the back every year in favour of online stuff.

They must just think the MJ model is good. Haha.... can't quite comprehend but anyway.

Get a PC man. Mod, mod, mod. It's the only way.

I've got 2k14 and the Ultimate base roster on PC (Which is INCREDIBLE for legends) but I'm not a fan of going back to older control schemes as the game just doesn't feel as fluid as it does now.

From what I hear, the game is becoming increasingly harder to mod with every new release....?

Gotta say I'm absolutely bummed, and a little shocked, that even with the bad press about MJ's likeness being so off, 2k STILL didn't attempt to change it......

Yeah I pumped some mods into 2K16 - mainly courts, jerseys and SOME faces. No MJ though - I just totally gave up on classic teams that it never occurred to me haha.

But I think there were some ok ones if I recall correctly (from previous threads).

All 2K would need to have done in this case (which is still possible - albeit probably unlikely) is nail the signature aspect......

                      A glimmer of hope?

This is the 98 Bulls and Pippen looked different from his 98 Bulls player model, from what I could make out from the video. Or maybe I'm just seeing things.

Yep, Pippen's model is different, but I have a feeling I know what they've done.

His 1992 Dream Team model is probably being used here - I mean, it wouldn't be a surprise, would it - 2k using a 1992 model for a 1998 version......

I would be fine with them using his 1992 model for the 93 Bulls Pippen. That would be a great upgrade in place of the 91 player model they have been using.

Yeah, i'd definitely be happy with that.

Shame there isn't an option in the edit player screen for hairstyles - would love to see Afro Pip!!
