Why does it seem that I miss way too many layups? Sometimes I feel like I am holding the turbo and that's why and other times I seem to hold the shot button longer than I planned to. So busy admiring the blow by. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
online help. For some reason no matter what setting I use someone will outlet the ball and/or go screaming down the sideline then cut up baseline. what setting will make my man stick to them so they are able to keep up and maybe pick off some passes.
for example I can play KD with tight settings or smother, and tight off ball. but he always is open on an outlet pass..of if someone passes him the ball he can take off down the sidelines and it's like no one wants to pick him up..any suggestions?Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
I have a question for those who have played a MyLeague or MyGM game. When going into the coach gameplan and setting up the minutes for everyone they have added something different this year at the top of the screen. Now they have every position and you can see how many minutes each position is playing. So my question is do I need to make sure every position is in the green? Right now my PF and C positions are in the red.Comment

Long story though is it depends: I.E. as the Pelicans I want to start Holiday(PG) Gordon(SG) and Pondexter(SF) but then want Tyreke Evans to cover most of the backup minutes for all three positions by switching them out individually at different times. In the calculator though the PG and SG will still be in the red because he is listed as a SF and all his minutes will be calculated there. So under Small Forward I will be above the arrow in the green. See what I am saying?Last edited by TheDeej; 09-27-2015, 09:13 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
So i just realize that in the practice plays, there is no option for assign plays under the gameplan like it is when you are actually in game. That is absolutely ridiculous. Does that mean if everytime play a new game i have to edit the playbook again? How do I save it and test it out in practice plays?

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Im sure everyone knows this, but Ill post anyway.
Flicking the R stick to the right on a layup triggers a right hand finish.
Flicking it left triggers a left hand finish.
Same with dunks.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Now, for the love of God, teach me how to stop the pick and roll. The Cpu just torches me regardless of how I defend it. The on ball defender just seems to get caught up in the screen about 95% of the time which is COMPLETELY unrealistic. Especially if I'm trying to go under the screen. That's the "easy way out" of ball screens. The help doesn't rotate in a realistic way either so that doesn't help matters any.
I THOUGHT that by controlling the on ball defender and using the right stick you could determine whether he would fight over or under the screen, but that only worked a couple of times before I started getting hammered by the screener again. Of course, the cpu just slips around ball screens with ease..Comment

Better but more tedious than it needs to be.

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
There was a lot of talk about keeping offenses on freestyle and that the movement was organic without having to call plays. I feel as if my offenses are rather stagnant if I am not calling plays and I'm not seeing the movement many others are getting. Is there a setting that I need to change in order to get this to happen?Comment

Buyer be aware..... Remember what your players strong hand is dunking. Went in on break away dunk with John Wall. I pressed it to the right (totally forgetting that he dunks with his left hand.) And he blew the dunk. It's something to keep in mind when using.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
