Superstar Sim. Turned off Rick and Morty and threw this together at 2:30 am, forgive the sloppiness. Threw a clip of Roberson cooking Shump on a ISO at the end to show it doesn't have to be a star as well.Last edited by 2_headedmonster; 10-04-2015, 03:47 AM.Comment

JExcept no sliders are shown, no difficulty is shown and video is edited. I want to see him do it in a game consistently and show his sliders and difficulty at the beginning of the game no edit.
If you notice the score he took several tries to put those together. Appeared that love and mozgov are the victims of as well...love and mozgov have very poor lateral quickness
On lebron he hit the step back it didn't really register as a contest
So basically 1 step back and beating a couple of big men off the dribble took him several takes to do with one of the best players in the game...the score was like 17 to 8 by the time he pulled off that spin
How many tries that take? I assume Cleveland wasn't scoring on you everytime so I'm guessing maybe 10?Last edited by manu1433; 10-04-2015, 05:12 AM.Comment

Judging by sales figures and reviews and posts on here, many people love the game. If you don't see anything positive in it, trade it in.Comment

He went into scrimmage because there is no shot clock. He also edited out the plays he didn't want you see because he wasn't consistently pulling off the dribble moves.
We know you can beat the CPU in singular instances.. Nobody has ever disputed that and isn't the issue and is precisely why I want to see it in a game.
There is video evidence of warping, psychic defense, and hell, some dude even posted a video of steve Nash floating up from from the ground to recover on defense like he was vampire.
I want to see this pulled off consistently in a game because you are going to see the CPU start acting funky....it is inevitable over the course of an entire game.
I love the game a lot, which is why I want to make it even better than it currently is. If I didn't love the game and didn't respect the people who work on it, I wouldn't waste my time here.Last edited by manu1433; 10-04-2015, 06:20 AM.Comment

If you can't or havent got the ability to practise, then trade it in.
Just like in real life. As someone with League Pass, I can assure you that isolation blow bys are pretty rare.
In a post the other day, I catalogued every shot in a half of Cavs basketball. Only 3 of their 40 odd shots involved penetration off isolation.
If you want heaps more rioght stick penetration and dunks, this may not be the game for you. Or play it on casual settings.
Nobody has disputed there are some instances of wonky physics. Its a game.Comment

He sure went out of his way you do the opposite of what I requested

Even Durant doesn't iso and hit shots repeatedly possession after possession after possession on command.
Now if elite players like Durant and Curry could hit more shots off the dribble, that's something I would be in favor of, though I need more stick time to say whether it's harder than it should be.
If I remember you may have also asked for video of three Curry green three pointers in a row. I'm not sure why you're set on being convinced only by video that would essentially be cheesy and unrealistic gameplay.
I'm one of those that wants CPU defense to be tweaked for authenticity's sake, but I do NOT want to see Durant hit 5 isos on command. I do NOT want to see three perfect Curry green releases. Either being common place would be cheese, and I'm not sure what is proved by demanding video evidence of said cheese. Being able to do that with regularity would break the game, and I consider the difficulty and rarity of such extreme examples a positive.Last edited by Sundown; 10-04-2015, 06:35 AM.Comment

Re: There is nothing wrong with the CPU on-ball defense. Here are some tips....
I play on Superstar sim and ill admit it get frustrated from time to time, but i think its the way it has to be. Last year I was able to give a few hesitation moves with Giannis and blow by for an easy dunk almost every time when I got a good mismatch. I dont like anything to be automatic when I have a great mismatch, but overall I want to win most of the time on those mismatches and I do. Nothing comes easy on Superstar or HOF and that's the way it should be. If you want to blow by your defender more on these difficulties then lower the CPU on ball def and have a nice day. I dont want a patch screwing up the game for this since we have sliders for almost every aspect of it.Comment

C'mon man, we are all here to discuss and we have the right to have our own opinions, that kind of attitude isn't constructive at all.
I'm with you all that the game is more challenging and feels great when you break that fierce defense but IMO the way they made it isn't too realistic.
In real NBA you don't have a defender glued to your *** 24/7 (until the last 5 minutes of the game) and this is what makes many people frustrated. It's really hard leaving your defender behind even running plays correctly, and the solution they find when you have 6 in the clock and they have their defender glued is some ISO (which is really hard to accomplish). The problem is not this second part, is the first, is too hard finding some space to shoot regular jumpshots because you defender is glued, and that's what makes people try ISO too much and get angry.
This game rewards you when you get rid of your defender and punish you when you defender is in front of you, which is cool, but does it in a really extreme way. You know it's almost impossible getting a bucket out of a contested shot, and you know that almost every shot free goes in. This should be kinda balanced to let some contested shots go in and viceversa (which is what happens in real life). This way perimeter defender could leave you some space to shoot and won't make users try ISO all the time to get rid of the defender. That would make the game much more realistic IMO

My 2 cents: badges are everything and so is speed and dribble rating.
Still a bit of sliding and there are times when I'm forcing it and the game makes me pay. But yes, about a week of playing you get the hang of it.
I actually miss not blowing by every defender now. Was more challenging.Comment

Re: There is nothing wrong with the CPU on-ball defense. Here are some tips....
The informed posters have been posting vids here about using plays, using picks properly, using angles, looking for mismatches.
Ive posted videos about recognising which bigs drop back on pick and rolls and. Put them in in pick and rolls and there are your mid range Js.
Problem is people just want to wiggle the sticks a couple of times, get by their man and dunk. This isnt that game. It can be if they knock it down to casual. But they want a casual arcade experience from a sim game.
The game gives users options. Its up to us to learn them, rather than beg for a patch.
And Ive actually said that poor defenders can be too sticky sometimes, and contested shots need to go in at a higher %. Im not riding 2K.Comment

All the options you are providing is for getting you player free for a shot but, sincerely, how many of the shots Durant or Curry make in any game are contested shots? A lot.
Let me be clear with this: ISO difficulty is OK the way it is, I don't want a blacktop fest either, but IMO the level of stalking of defenders in the perimeter every minute of the game is too high and unrealistic. If you like my work I appreciate any help: https://www.paypal.me/s3anbarkl3yComment

When a defender is glued to you, it should actually be EASIER to drive past them. Not harder. Da Czar (or was it OG) talked about how this year we need to either sag on the ai to prevent drives or crowd them to take away jump shots, or split the difference, because that's how real NBA defense works. You can no longer just crowd the AI shooter to take away both their shot and their drive.
This doesn't seem to apply to the AI when they crowd players with poor defenders. If the AI doesn't have to pick its poison on defense and decide what to concede, it's not sim basketball.
Anyway I have to say I don't have a problem with difficulty as a whole on All-Star. But I'm not seeing particularly realistic NBA perimeter defense on ball. It's fine difficulty wise because I move the ball as GSW and I avoid the iso problem for the most part, but I haven't been able to really get Curry to go to work like he does.Last edited by Sundown; 10-04-2015, 08:11 AM.Comment
