      i can agree with that

      always turn that junk off

but I do usually leave feedback on in order to figure out what the game is considering a contest and what it isn't

will also say, keep in mind that the challange that I orginally issued with Curry and the test that I performed was well before the tweak to shooting happened

If im not mistaken the tweak was for ONLINE players and how they have it setup it doesn't affect offline shooting (the reason they announced there will be no more patches for shooting i.e nba 2k15 patch 4 fiasco)

I could be wrong but thats how I interpreted it...and if I am wrong...its still possible because of the tweak now [emoji4]

I got no idea there, you may be right

I just found out about said tweak yesterday and haven't played the game much over the past week or so

I think that was the problem : too many poor to average grade shots were falling from the mid. I'm not sure but I'm led to believe average shooters were getting the balls to fall even with poor timing - that's not a good look.

I only have a 70 on my my player for mid but I use Lillard jumper since 2k15 and am rock solid with it. I hit greens with that thing a good 70% of the time. I use Lillard on HOF difficulty and will still rip 3s and middys.

For someone like myself, I don't see myself being rattled by the tuning. It will be concerning if I see clean, well-timed, jumpers consistently clanking - occasionally would be like 1 miss out of 3 but anymore than that and I will feel I'm being unfairly handicap.

Bad timing is on me however, so when I say clean and well-timed, I do mean just that: clear space, solid form, clean to release. HOF trains you to use a smooth rhythm with your form and release which is more important, you learn, than trying to line up with the white (line). Your rhythm changes in any given situation and from different ranges: short mid vs long mid; off dribble vs standing still.

I'll have to try this with Lillard, that jumper is money for me.

                * I can sink em on HoF but never used him in a freestyle practice. On another note, I'm making 3s on HOF with my SG who has 67 on 3s. I've had multiple games where I go perfect from 3 with him (Lillard jumper) - 3/3 has been my best but when I take more volume I go about 3/5, 4/5.

Rhythm is the big thing with me and not so much getting a prompt that tells me good or bad release (I turn off the feedback), I do like to see the perfect release green flash though lol just because I like to say money 💲 or green 💵 (validation) [emoji5]

Yup, I haven't had that turned on since 2K12... Not sure why anyone has it on to be honest. All it can really do is piss you off when you miss an A+ shot.

Re: Mid Range Shot Cheese Is Back With Full Force!

No.... No.... NO... Don't do ANYTHING to this game's shooting please. I don't care about how many damn midrange shots people make. They should take those shots instead of taking 3's and driving to the basket to dunk over defenders. It's smart basketball... Just shoot a floater or a midrange. If you get a hand in a player's face then I would say it's a 85% chance he's going to miss in MyPark... Only time I had an issue with cheese is when I was playing an 83 Center (7'3 and I'm 6'11) and he would do the signature side step dribble move into a midrange shot. I couldn't do anything to stop it and my defense is maxed out. I tried to give him space and ease up on the L2, but I still got caught in the animation and sled. But outside of that (it was a 2 vs 2 game), I never experienced cheese in MyPark.

I will say this though, I do feel like 7'3 players speed and quickness need to be reduced more. If you're going to create a 7'3 player with maxed out arms then he should be slow as hell... I'm tired of playing these 7'3 players and they're still able to stick with me running down the court. I should see an advantage in my speed vs. a 7'3 player if I'm 6'11...

actually, open 3's with good 3 point shooters is a much smarter shot than an open mid range jumper

For example, Kyle Korver hit 52% (68/129) of his open 3's in which a defender wasn't within 6 feet of him...1.58 points per possession

The best mid range %'s that I'm seeing that are high volume are Dirk and Jason Smith

Smith hit 58% (58/100).....1.16 points per possession

Dirk hit 57% (51/91).....1.12 points per possession

For Dirk to equal Korver's PPP....he'd have to hit have had to hit 79% (72/91) of his open mid range jumpers

Taking long 2's is the worst shot in basketball (Derek Fisher was the king of the long 2's). I'm discussing the pull up and shots 15 ft and in... Which if you look at the NBA stats, guys hit that at a better clip. 2 vs 3 points... I get the higher the difficulty the higher the reward. That's not what I'm discussing here. I'm discussing actual good basketball instead of the 3 pt chucking, running to the corner 3 step back, hand in the face 3pt shot from 2k15. In 2k16 those aren't going in as often and a wide open 15 foot shot is a much better shot to take than coming down chucking 3's or trying to slam it over a bunch of defenders. I'm starting to see folks take what the defense gives them and for the most part you have to play team ball in order to win.

To be honest, MyPark just need to fix the steals on big men and the 7'3 Center speed problems. Outside of that, sim basketball and skills wins 90% of the time. But it's still early with this game. Who knows what will happen once people find the "glitches" in the game.

What do you mean fix the 7'3 centers speed for Park? Center are extremely slow already. Unless you're talking about making them faster.

In the park... I'm not sure in regular MyCareer games. It's just 7'3 centers are able to keep up with me despite me being faster. I can't stick with guards or SF's... I think making a 7'3 Center has a lot of advantages and one of the disadvantage should be speed and quickness.

You probably played against one of those Demi-god cheesers. I played a whole team of 7'3 guys yesterday and they were just as fast as my 6'6 SG with maxed out athleticism. So many people are abusing that glitch that it makes the park almost unplayable.

Midrange has been fixed for users. But it's still terrible for the CPU. The amount of midrange shots they make is crazy. Not even going to get into the amount of contact layups they make as well.
