Re: Stephen Curry in NBA 2K
U missed the point like you typically do. Point is the 3 ball is not even Jordans game. Yet he's fire from 3 on this game
And anyone falling for the "we cant duplicate curry" probably falls for the banana in the tailpipe as well.Last edited by MadManCometh; 03-04-2016, 01:21 PM.Comment

Re: Stephen Curry in NBA 2K
I think 2k doesn't want to duplicate curry properly because they simply don't want to. Their not a fan of his(or the warriors). They can duplicate every other superstar tho. He's rated 98 and does not play anything like it. But go play with 99 Jordan and he's hitting pull-up 3s, contested 3s, and about any shot he takes. But curry can't. So don't tell me u can't duplicate curry because Jordan is hitting all types of 3s in this game and that's not even his forte.
I believe that the reason Curry can not do all these amazing stuff he does IRL is that 2k is missing a BASIC attribute.
Contested shooting attribute.
This leads to other silly stats as Blake Griffin having similar mid-range stats as Harden. It is based on the real life FG %. What this is not counting is that Harden will take shots contested (because he can STILL make them) but BG will shoot only if wide open.
Curry should have a 95-99 constested shooting attribute.

Re: Stephen Curry in NBA 2K
I dont think this is the case at all. They went on ESPN talking about how they are trying to figure out a way to duplicate him, not to mention 2k is located in i believe Novato, CA which is pretty close to where the Warriors play so I'm sure they have some warriors fans working there.
This is such a great idea! I love it, theres a lot of data out there now that gives players shooting percentage with defenders within x amount of feet. He leads the league in 3p fg% with a defender within 2-4 feet

Also especially in MyTEAM EVERYONE can have this badge. Contested shooting abilityis mandatory for me. As it is now, ever player receives the SAME % penalty to their shooting attribute.Let's 30%. So Curry contested shoots for a 60 standing 3 while Griffin for a 50 standing 3 (numbers are random)
This can not be real as there are plenty examples of players, that seem that they are much less affected by contest in their shots than others.
It is a stupid thing to say that Blake Griffin is similar or even better mid-range shooter than Harden, just because he takes few and only wide-open shots.
Their mid-range shooting ability is also proved by their free throw which after all is an uncontested mid-range shot.Comment

Re: Stephen Curry in NBA 2K
Chef Curry has a 99 three but I've see him brick **** all the time. I don't think I've ever seen him hit 3 or 4 three's a game or even two three's in a row. They should really give him a quicker release or at least set it on quick. Never any contested three's. Dead eye badge doesn't seem to activate or work when I play with him (default rosters).
Also his handles are nowhere even close to how they are in real life...Like everyone says he is REALLY REALLY slow compared to real life. I almost never see him cut people up and drive to the basket.Last edited by myathebee; 03-04-2016, 08:11 PM.Comment

They are supposed to use the deadeye badge for this, but clearly a badge can not give justice to a scale.

Re: Stephen Curry in NBA 2K
I really don't see what the big deal is. If Curry's not in rhythm or wide open, 30-footers shouldn't be anywhere near likely to go in. Like I said, it's comparable to fadeaway threes. Yeah, you can spam them if you want, and Curry has the ratings to make them occasionally, but there's no way you can live off of that.
The only issue I see is with the AI's behavior when guarding him defensively and also controlling him on offense. The AI has to be programmed to be way more aggressive. Transition pull-up threes (even Klay does this IRL), stepback threes, fadeaways, etc. Also, his off-ball movement should replicate the way he constantly maneuvers around the court IRL.
Also, Stephen Curry definitely doesn't deserve a 99, or God forbid 100 overall. Defense matters. If it was just offense, then yes, he'd be an easy 99.Last edited by RyanFitzmagic; 03-07-2016, 04:33 PM.Comment

Re: Stephen Curry in NBA 2K
SpoilerNote that video game player ratings are weighed, reviewed and scrutinized far more than they out to be.
What rating would you give Curry? For that matter, how does he compare to other elite players in the game today?Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Stephen Curry in NBA 2K
Remember, this is an all-time scale. So, to me, if a player is a 99, that means he's having by far one of the best seasons of all time on both ends (I'm thinking Kareem or Jordan) or you have to completely shatter the game of basketball with your skill (like Russell did with his defense).
Curry's shooting and scoring ability is breaking the sport, but not to the extent of Russell IMO.
The only 99 in the game as far as I can tell is 96 Jordan, and that's partially because that season, he excelled in the one aspect of his game he wasn't consistently great at (three-point shooting). His OBDIQ, PNRD, HLPIQ, and PSPER ratings are all 99 as well. So Jordan is simultaneously GOAT-tier as an athlete and with his skills, and then you remove pretty much his only real weakness? 99 is gonna happen.
That'd be like if you took Curry, the greatest shooter ever, and gave him Gary Payton's defensive ratings and Westbrook's athletic ratings. He'd probably be a 99, too. But he doesn't have that IRL. Hence the 96.Last edited by RyanFitzmagic; 03-07-2016, 05:21 PM.Comment
