96 Jordan is a 99. He led the Bulls to 72-10 and was good at literally everything since the three-point line was shortened.

I don't know if 91 or 92 Jordan is a 99, but it's really not that serious. You guys put too much weight into just the numbers. Badges, teammates, etc. all matter. If Curry's a 99 but has 15 fewer badges than a 98 overall, the 98 overall could easily be better.

Besides, Curry's having one of the best seasons ever anyway.

I completely understand that ratings aren't everything and that certain things can make some people better than those with high ratings. Now honestly I don't really care all that much. It's one season and that's what they are ranking steph off of, which is fine. I'm just stating that if it's an all time scale, steph shouldn't be this high. But like I said its fine it's just a rating lol I actually don't care.

96 Jordan wasn't a better player than first 3peat Jordan, and Curry for damn sure isn't.

The three-point line was shortened in 1996. That negated his only weakness. Regardless of whether or not this makes him better, it would definitely make his overall rating in 2K higher.

And you could definitely argue that 2016 Curry is better than early 90s Jordan.

And even besides that point, Curry is a 98 overall with 44 badges. 1993 Jordan is a 98 with 50 badges, and 1991 Jordan is a 97 with 50 badges. The badges give Jordan an edge (or at the very least allow him to break even with Curry) despite the lower overall in 1991.

Like I keep saying, you guys really should stop putting so much weight on the raw numbers. Other things matter. "Higher overall" does not necessarily mean "better," in real life or effectiveness in the game.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

30 ppg on 50%, shooting 46% from 3 on a record number of attempts, 90% from the FT line, and the highest PER of all time.

Plus he's the league MVP on a team that could win more than 70 plus games and are overwhelming favorites to go back to back.

I said it before, If you can't get >95 overall off season like this, then there's no reason for the HOF scale.

I question why it is appropriate that this user uses his mod status to bully other users. This post has over 400 responses and over 22 thousand views!

Clearly its something we are very interested in. Why do we have a forum but the mods are allowed to come in with biased viewpoints and attack users? He didnt even explain his opinion he just made fun of him and worse he implied that his post was so bad that 2k sports shouldnt communicate with their userbase.

How dare a mod treat a user like that. What a bully.

Is this article implying that there's gonna be some kind of badge patched into the game that makes players not suffer a rating drop with their threes no matter how far they shoot them (in the half-court, presumably)? I didn't even know they could patch things like new badges in. I couldn't tell if that's what they were saying, though.

I tend to agree with this, really. Like, even if you disagree with what people are saying, bad-mouthing the community is just rude and not constructive, much less from a mod.

If they do that they need to be super careful. If it's available to any myplayer like the article implys it could be, the park and Pro am becomes unplayable. Hard to get or not, the cheese finds a way. I absolutely do not want to have to guard every single guy at the half court line.

Is ratings basically make him the best on the whole game at the rim, mid range, shooting, passing, probably a top 5 defender.

Regardless the "overall" system needs to be revamped for any sort of combination to make him the best player ever.
