    Hey guys,

    I've created this spreadsheet:
    (ugh, I can't link it because I just created this account , see at the end for the reddit link)

    You can convert bars to attribute estimates, and vice versa. Min/Max lets you set how much you think the base attributes will be, and how much you'll max out at for a specific position/size.

    More details in my reddit thread (which probably won't have much success ): /r/NBA2k/comments/4zyudj/mycareer_caps_2k17_barsattributes_converter/ but maybe you're interested

      Two specialities makes sense. Those specialties could then define something you can never be elite at. Here's a rough idea of what I'm thinking;

      3 and D guys aren't allowed to have elite dribble skills or elite finishing ability(or any dribble badges). Therefore rendering them most useful as off ball players.

      Dimers with shooting cant have elite dunking/finishing ability (or any dunk badges).

      Athletic monsters with great dunking can't have elite shooting ability (or any shooting badges).

      Elite post scorers that can also step out and shoot the 3 can't have elite dribbling/handling or cutting/driving ability (and no badges for those).

      Elite rebounders and defenders/rim protectors can't have elite shooting or ball handling ability(or those badges).

      So if you were a 3&D guy for example your attributes would generally round out as;

      Defense; 99. (Lock down badge etc)
      3pt shooting; 90. (Deadeye badge etc)
      Mid range; 80. (No badge)
      Dunks/layups; 70. (No badge)
      Dribbling/handling; 65 (no badge)

      Etc etc.

      And your teammate might be center who specialises in post scoring and passing. Their stats would be;

      Post scoring; 99 (badges)
      Passing; 85 (badges)
      Rebounding; 80
      Defense; 70
      3pt/mid; 65
      Etc etc.

      So the two of you would likely opt for an inside out game where the center is passing out of the post to you for catch and shoot opportunities and when the shots aren't their he's faking the pass then going for post move.

      Very very very few NBA starters are as one dimensional as being "just elite at shooting" or "just elite at passing".
      Go take a look at "Community Myplayer Playstyles" thread. I was heavily involved and created many different archetypes one could be. I completed SF & C positions and did a few PG ones, but due to lack of feedback and involvement from community I just stopped.

          I didn't play 2k16 that much online - things were tough this last year for me so didn't see why I should pay for ps plus for it (I don't have any other games that need ps plus) but I did play offline - I was mostly experimenting with my player perimeter defensive builds since defense is what I enjoy. I'll add you for 2k17 though.

              can a Bruce Bowen type SF be achievable with a "7" three point shooting you think?
