hey, money is an issue with me. I make 10 dollars an hour working a job and have to pay my college tuition... Let 2k pay me anything, i'll gladly take whatever they are offering for my likeness.

not trying to judge circumstances here...but NBA players, some of them seem so entitled. save the money you earn, and be modest about it.

like omg..they are giving me 5k to be in a video game...just by virtually appearing in a video game! i have to work my *** to the bone to get 5k. come on man lol.

I'm sorry if i sound incredibly insensitive about the matter here. but nash, if money is an issue, please don't complain and be in the game. you've made millions in the nba, I understand your star warrants that type of affluent salary...but seriously. just think of us less fortunate souls who have to labor intensively just to put some bread on the table .

Not that Im a big fan of Nash, but I hate seeing him not be the game, I enjoyed playing the Mavs team he was on against the Lakers.

I dont really understand players reasoning for not letting their likeness be used, they are getting paid something for it. IM sure its a ego things, they find out so ans so got this $ amount so they think they should get more or the same. Personally I dont know why you would just have a standard amount to pay each player the same, but I suppose some players feel they are worth more than the set amount. Kind of sad you have all these wealthy players, and they argue over how much money they get over using their likeness for a video game, that so many young kids get to enjoy as well as some of us older guys use to relax and get our mind off of real life issues.

Here's the problem...some of you genuinely believe it's an a badge of honor to be in a video game. The answer could be as simple as that they don't care like you do, regardless how "easy" the money is.

Honestly, as much as I love the classic teams, there's zero point having the Blazers, Suns, Mavs and Pistons without the star players. That's like throwing in the Bulls without Michael Jordan or Pippen. Or having the Sonics without Payton & Kemp.

2k could remove them and replace with classic teams they know they can get the rights to, with all players included.

At worst, remove the teams that aren't complete and have a legends free agent pool - we could've kept half the 02 Kings roster and this years 85 Sixers, not to mention add the legends from myteam so we'd have an option to use players like Kidd and Grant Hill.......
Respectfully, I don't agree with this at all. I mean, I'd love a full 2004 Pistons roster, but I'll take a Sheed-less Pistons team over no Pistons team at all.

If I couldn't create likenesses and fill in the blanks? Yeah, then the problem becomes a little more severe. But considering I can make guys like Rasheed, even if it's not ideal (ideal = real Rasheed), it's still good enough to get that Pistons team up and running and looking mostly legit.

Basically, I can work with a 2004 Pistons team that has Chauncey, Tayshaun, Mike James, Richard Hamilton, Ben Wallace, Lindsey Hunter, Darko Milicic, an accurate classic court, and proper jerseys. I can't work with a 2004 Pistons team that has zero players and no court.

Yeah, Im good if we can fill in the blanks, so a a couple missing players on each team isnt that big of deal as long as we can edit. What does annoy me is the stupid nicknames, and the fact that you can edit the fake players appearance. I just wish the fake players were fully editable so we could just take that player change his looks, along with every thing else to make the actual real player. Right now they let you edit them, except for the way they look which seems so stupid on their part, that they makes us have to create a new player and put all the fakes in FA pool.

If you didn't have to deal with Roster Guard 99 on the Bulls back in the day, then I don't want to hear your complaints lol jk but yea it sucks we can't get full rosters. Better than nothing though.

Like Dave from earlier in the thread, the legends are REALLY big for me. I like add all the stars to the rosters and do full drafts.. If they take out Nash amd Stat and stuff it kinda stings..

See that's probably where we differ - I personally don't like using caps. No matter how good they are (Yeah, I have a few, Rasheed being one of them) they never feel right and it's always in the back of my head that they're not legit, kinda sucks the air out of the entertainment for me. I do use them, but I'd rather not have to.

I'd only be for removing entire incomplete teams if they actually replaced them with new, full squads, or at least teams with their main star players.

As much as I love STAT and The Matrix, I probably won't use that Suns team now without Steve Nash unless someone manages to pull off a dynamite cap, which from what I'm hearing, is going to be problematic, as us pesky white folk are hard to recreate

Can't remember the name, but someone made a stunning Jason Caffey and Randy Brown - even as someone who doesn't like caps, I picked those two up.

Reading your comments and a few others, I actually do agree, probably best to keep the teams in, as it's better than nothing at all.

Still a huge blow though. Even dusted off my twitter account to send Nash a tweet last night. Desperate measures and all that. If Pippen changed his mind, maybe Nash will, too.........(Wishful thinking)

Edit: On another note, I find it a joke that 2k have paid bucks to Michael B Jordan and now allegedly Thierry Henry to be in the game - I'm sorry, what do they have to do with the NBA again? Have I missed something? Could that cash not have gone to Nash and some of the other missing legends.....? Guess not.

This is where I am too. And personally, while I love Sheed he's the 4th most important player on that team for me. Especially considering how late of an addition he was to the team.

Many of you have seen this... But I love these rosters.... But the problem will always be that I can't take them online vs the Cavs and Warriors of the world.

At least the Pistons have Billups, Hamilton and Ben. Without Nash the Suns are basically unplayed able. You can't break without Nash. Leoandaro isn't the answer. He can only play in spots.

So i was so hyped to play with the Suns... then i was like Barbosa in the starting lineup? WTF? Googled Nash and 2K17 and found this thread. Damnit, why even bother putting the team in?

They probably went up to Nash during his charity events and tell him that they have the best selling basketball game, then ask him straight up "you want in or not?"
