Haha I tend to do that I must admit. I try to stay positive/constructive but I think the annual "rest" helps with that.

Then wash, rinse repeat. 2K season is still fun around these parts but there are a lot of disagreeable people who can get to others if allowed....

People keep saying this, but my experience with Live it doesn't seem that special. Yes they cheer and boo at the right times, better than 2K, but every arena sounds the same and they have much less arena-specific sounds and music than 2K.

I think if 2K fixed the response logic it would be fine.

I agree...2k has a ton more specific arena bells and whistles compared to Live.

The thing is I've mention this sound bug since last gen 2k12 (I think) and it's made its way to next gen. So it's odd that they would ignore it for so damn long.

After those screenshots came out and then people started getting their hands on the game, most of the positive(non-negative)reviews have been in regards to the player models.

Obviously they're not where they should be in 2016 but like you said, they're not as bad as some make people believe.

The fact that the devs not name Mike wang didn't talk this year is very telling.Last year around this time Scott,Czar, ect..was all over these forums man i hope this wasn't a blind buy for me.I think we can all agree that that this stuff be on our 2k18 top wishlist next year and if they try to finese us again we vote with our wallet I still can't believe they really adopting the maddening practices

Personally, I watched some Live videos and even played a bit through EA Access. The atmosphere was good, but it was over the top for a regular season game.

I do agree that it did feel like the same for each arena too. For instance, Minny's fans are not as rowdy as OKC. It's just not even close and mainly because we haven't had anything to legit cheer for in a long time (11-12 was fun for our standards). In Live it kind of felt the same.

Have you tried playoff mode crowd? All new level...

I know people want realism with certain stadiums being quiet and what not. Personally I would rather have the crowd excitement from Live since it's far more immersion to play.

Okay, I exaggerated how many games I played. I played a half and couldn't stand it. The overall game that is not specifically the atmosphere.

Anyone remember Madden 10 when you could do that retro AFL option and the screen would be all grainy and had the sam Spence nfl films music ? Something like that is really needed especially for the old teams. Atmosphere and authenticity is just part of it. 2k has really lacked on presentation after 2k13 or so.

I will say this about this topic. I'm pretty bummed the crowd atmosphere again appears to be lacking. Especially because they knew for years that it has been lacking. Then to hit us with a "All new ARENA sounds" trailer which they know insinuates the crowd may have been improved is a little disingenuous.

That's marketing though. And I'm still buying the game, i'll just be playing music in the background again this year.

This may have been discussed, but while NBA live has been horrible for years, one thing they did get right was the audio. Fair to say significantly better than 2ks presentation?

When you go back and look at that game, graphically, things really haven't improved much (and player's shoulders/arms look better 3 years ago). And definitely not the arena atmosphere. That's just kind of, I don't know, sad?

Imo 2k14 next gen was the prettiest 2k ever. Courts, vibrant, bright and the best player models. Was definitely a show off game for the ps4 xbox one launch . Gameplay was buggy but man, puuuuurty

I'm starting to think the map they had in the trailer, which only went to about 5 cities at a time, was showing they only did THAT for that city? Idk.. That'd be dumb.. But 2k overthinking something or half doing something to save FULL crowd for next year or 200000 VC upgrade (jk) isn't new for them.

I don't get the traveling to get small things like ball noises, but not getting the BIG important thing like you know the crowd itself that makes 90℅ of the noise volume.

Hate to say this but it's a gimmick. 2k is getting gimmicky with all there inclusions lately. New authentic celebrations! Authentic ball bouncing sound! Authentic JR Smith inner thigh tattoo! Exact replica check in table wood!

Yeah but it's a video game. If anyone could choose, they'd want playoff atmosphere for their few matchups they have a day.

Live makes it more exciting and responsive of crowd to what happens.

2k tries wayyy too hard to be sim to make sure crowds don't react too loud in a regular season game.. But forget to have them react at all when they DO get excited in real life.

The sim **** gets annoying when they take it too far and make things worse in game
