I never had a problem with the sound in 2K games, they've always sounded pretty good to me, im not that picky about sound, maybe I just dont know what good sound is.

Game looks super smooth this year.

BUT, it would be really nice to have the option to turn off player icons, completely. It looks unnatural and clutters the screen IMO. Switching them off would definitely increase the immersion for me.

The 2k colors palette always bothered me more than anything, included the sounds.

Definately. You notice them more because they are bigger this year and they glitch through player models. It's pretty bad.

Yet another thread has turned into a "Bash 2k" thread. Wonderful.


I'm just going to avoid the comment sections for the next month, maybe forever. This is getting ridiculous and needs to be stopped. I don't mind asking questions or being critical, but a majority of these comments are just "2k sucks at audio" or "2k lies about everything". THE GAME HASN'T EVEN CAME OUT YET SO YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY KNOW THESE THINGS.


It's like the OS 2k board handed out a bunch of "Jump to Conclusion" mats this year.

This year is the worst year of this I've seen in quite awhile, if ever, so don't come to me saying this negativity is like this every year. It's there, sure, but it's more widespread this year and the game hasn't even came out yet. Usually the extreme 2k hate and negativity at least waits until November.

Have fun complaining about the Bucks court being wrong, the body types are bad and how the audio isn't up to your expectations in every thread. Yet every one of you will still buy the game just so you can complain more. It's hilarious.

There's even a thread that's been allowed to stay up for 4 hours that literally says "How many people think the game will be bad?"

How is that constructive criticism or even a conversation? It's just turning into a 2k bashing thread. Which is what this entire board is turning into on a daily basis. I can go to Gamefaqs and get that sort of conversation.

It's possible there will be some changes, but I feel like the abysmal marketing by 2K is, in large part, to blame -- their approach this year hasn't been conducive at all to insightful discussion among its potential customers.

Oh don't get me wrong, this is part of what I touched on in one of those marketing discussions this year. The antagonizing style that they chose to roll with this year was concerning to me because I knew it was going to breed some bad vibes in the community and it was going to go a long way in killing all the good will that 2K had built up over the years and turn a lot of people against them. I had my fun playing the hashtag game with 23 about their marketing and taking little jabs at them but at no point was it ever what some of this is. Some of this stuff that's going on this year is completely over the top and it's much worse than usual for the 2K forums.

I don't want to further go off topic though, so I'll just focus back on the topic at hand. I look at this audio issue for what it is. I see us moving in the direction that we SHOULD be going in on audio. They're addressing it which is the first thing I look for is them to at least start making an effort at a trouble area. As an accessories guy myself, I'd love to see them addressing the NUMEROUS issues in that department and I've seen zero progress there for years now.

Even with its issues, ill prolly play this game until next June on a consistent basis. Cant wait to get my hands on it next week.

Why are people lumping in complaints like the uniforms/courts/sounds are off with visual proof, with blanket statements like 2k sucks?

The day stating that uniform and courts are inaccurate warrants entitled/spoilt/unconstructive criticism is the day this forum dies as a legitimate medium for discussing the game.

My thoughts exactly, and they EVEN RELEASED a hype trailer for "authentic" audio

And this gameplay video on 2k camera... My hype is like almost zero lol, i cant even see any new animations and barely any gameplay differences. I dont and never usually say this BUT ... it looks EXACTLY like nba 2k16. At least the entirety of this gameplay clip

It is highly likely that they didn't record during live games, for some, all or none. They may have went in, set up mics. got a ball. hit record. asked the Arena guys to blow the horn etc. and that is why we have no crowd chants on some.
