Who says they didn't though? We haven't seen full gameplay and heard all the sounds. Beyond that, with the short turnaround on dev time, who's to say that they didn't run into some kind of technical issue that made them pull sounds that didn't work right or didn't sound as good as anticipated when they actually got it back to the studio and put it to gameplay? It doesn't necessarily have to boil down to "they didn't bother with it."

There's two bits of evidence now that things aren't all that different.

I highly doubt they're running into any kin of technical issues either, seeing as we could put our own custom sounds in with relative ease in some of the past 2K's.

Shoot me some links my man. Someone other than the Warriors, lol. Play in Minny. I want to see if they have the Target Stair runners. I don't see why Live has little stuff like that but 2k can't ever take the time to differentiate the stadiums with little things like that.

If they ran into technical issues (again highly doubt it) then don't advertise that you've gone to great lengths to replicate arena sounds.

No its not. You just dont agree with what "great lengths" means. I'd say visiting each arena and recording how the ball sounds on the court and the rim alone is going to great lengths.

How did you arrive at that idiotic assumption? I said I preordered it because they claimed they went to every arena in an attempt to vastly improve the crowd atmosphere in each game. That's a major selling point.

No its not. You just dont agree with what "great lengths" means. I'd say visiting each arena and recording how the ball sounds on the court and the rim alone is going to great lengths.

When you think arena sounds do you think the difference in the ball hitting the court, the swishes and those smaller details, or do you think crowd noises and chants?

I and many others would think the latter.

Or he could stick to his old copy of 2K which I think is his point. Each year there's only going to be a few things for each person that might attract them to buying the game straight away again, whether it be new rosters, jerseys, updates to sounds or whatever.

If something you were hoping for isn't there, the game does not change that drastically from year to year to justify pre-ordering.

I think that's his point.

I could care less about ball sounds, but I do want to have legit crowds and crowd awareness. That's been sorely missing in NBA 2k.

I wanted authentic crowd sounds as advertised. How many times do you need me to explain this to you? I'm not sure where the disconnect is.

2K didnt release a vague statement that said they were going to great lengths to capture sound. Something where you would assume things.

2k created a 2 minute trailer that shows all the things they worked on. It clearly shows that they went to "great lengths" to capture sound in each arena. Like I said, you want more and thats fine but that doesnt negate what they have done.

This isnt an all or nothing sort of thing.
