But seriously, they couldn't at least put in a "Let's Go Rockets" chant? The "Go [TEAM NAME] Go" chant is exactly what I didn't want except in arenas where it's actually chanted.

I think they should but they havent commited to it yet. Isnt the Show the only current gen game that has custom ingame sound? Am I wrong about that?

Yep. 2k can learn so much from MLB the show. That game has so many options that would he so helpful for 2k gamers. Things that we've been asking for years.

According to this article though, another OS article mentioned them replicating all the sounds of the arena, but I can't remember which article it was.

I watched the trailer and accepted it for what it was. I even pointed out instances in the video of sounds that were already in the game.

I'm talking about the article. A lot of us thought they'd totally changed audio after reading it somewhere. It was definitely mentioned and made out like they'd gone to each arena and recorded chants, organs, buzzers etc.

Hey 23 can you get your connection to record a 4th quarter gameplay. That's when the crowd starts to ignore what's going on on the court.

EDIT: nvm....that vid you showed had the crowd chanting defense. When a defensive play happened the crowd just went silent and no one cheered.

I could care less about ball sounds, but I do want to have legit crowds and crowd awareness. That's been sorely missing in NBA 2k.

Shoot me some links my man. Someone other than the Warriors, lol. Play in Minny. I want to see if they have the Target Stair runners. I don't see why Live has little stuff like that but 2k can't ever take the time to differentiate the stadiums with little things like that.

That's easy. That's because Live would rather dedicate more resources on stuff like that than the actual representation of humans playing basketball. Generally speaking

I wonder if they did not get all the audio into the manufactured version already in distribution, but intend to patch in more audio in patch 1.

With the short cycle, it is theoretically possible the needed more time to nail down some audio stitching following the manufacture of physical disks.

I'm curious. Does anyone think it is a possibility that a day one patches will add a ton of content that isn't currently in the game?

I personally wouldn't bank on it but I find it strange that the game has been out in the wild for a couple weeks now, meaning that it has been "finished" since sometime in August, yet it has taken until the past week or two for 2k to reveal what the new features and content are.

Part of me feels like 2k purposely left content off the disc because they knew people would get their hands on the game weeks before release and they didn't want everything being leaked and spoiled before hand. Probably just wishful thinking on my part but it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

2 things:

1. Wow @ those sounds. If this is how it's going to be when I get the actual game in my hands, then this might be another year where I won't be playing in the playoffs in MyLeague(if you've heard/seen the atmosphere then you know why)
