Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
Boss, blacktop was the prototype for park. Freestyle Street Basketball, a Korean MMO was the prototype for that. It could stay the same because gameplay improved. I put all of my time into playing online blacktop in those iterations, same way I put almost all of my time into park. It was the most popular myplayer mode once crew got axed and blacktop appeared a few iterations down the line.
Don't Say "Us" park players. I play mainly park, I do not share your opinion. You do not speak for a collective, Sir. It has disappointed YOU. Not US. I might have even disappointed a group of people, but it's still not ALL park players.
My point is this: The gameplay is what matters. Do you really stare at the background? Do you dribble down court and stop to look at the beach? How bout Rollercoaster kid up there screaming? Do you pay attention for more than the first 5 minutes to the park itself? Could it have been addressed? Yeah. Do we know it's been addressed? No.
All we've seen is leaked footage from a game that's out early, without the day one patch, without anything else. Do I believe 2K will throw 3 new parks in day one? It's unlikely. But can they? Definitely.
Even then, A palette swap is fine as long as the game remains fun.Female Russell Westbrook.

Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
This. This times a million. Recently in the last few months I've been averaging about 4 to 6 assists in park just off basketball IQ. The D collapses on every drive due to kids headhunting for blocks and not rotating so the Big Man can meet the drive at the rim. That opens up the kick out.
One kick out pass on the fast break is almost always money, since everyone assumes you're going to the rack always on fast breaks.
Anticipation on offense and defense. I could go on and on. Point being: Basketball 101 wins me the games. Boosts are negligible when the other team doesn't give you a clean look or uses your ego against youComment

I'm tired of the middle schoolers bitching about 2k ripping them off when they don't even pay for the gameComment

I like the got next spot, it's make the experience better, and more social , I meet a number of people that are good players like that, With matchmaking it wouldn't have been possible

Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
When you're paying 60+ and you're getting the same Parks.. And you're not dissapointed. Then you're what's wrong with the world lmao. I fully expect new visuals (which is not even hard tbh, code is there already) when paying for a 60$ for the main mode I play.. And a lot of other people
1. The phrase "You're what's wrong with the world" invalidates every comment you make. You can't refute a point so you turn to insults. It makes you look childish. There's plenty of things wrong with the world, but my priority on what is important to my hard earned money not lining up with your ideology is not even on the list.
2. I work 55 to 60 hours a week. I work 10 to 12 hour days. I bust my *** for the money I make. I use this game as a means to relax and enjoy myself. 90% of my gaming is currently 2k games. 90% of my 2k gaming is park. I do not care about the ugly backgrounds. I don't pay attention to them because they do not impact my experience. One day, you'll understand that the ability to rationalize that your $60 goes to an entire game. A whole game. Not just 1 mode. And in the grand scheme of things, the stuff they fixed under the hood is way more important than the myplayer set pieces. Your arguments are akin to saying "I would rather by a candy apple green chromed out Charger, with no engine, than a beat up car that functions as it's supposed to.". And even with that logic that I personally find flawed, I'm not going to insult you, or even say your wrong. Because we all want different things out of the game. I care about gameplay. Some guys care about shoes. Some dudes will lose their $#@! If one curl on Jimmy Butlers hair is out of place. Are they wrong? No. Do I fault them for caring about things I dont? No. I respect the fact that they can choose to spend the money they earn on whatever they want, and that gives them the right to complain about it. I'll play devils advocate, but I'll never insult them for their opinion. The fact that people think that's okay to do in a discussion...thats one of the things wrong with the world.Female Russell Westbrook.

I got 2 things for this, and then I'm done with anything you say, type, etc.

I play MyPark the most and I honestly don't care about the surroundings, I care about the gameplay on the court. If they have fixed the majority of that then in my eyes, it's worth every penny I pay.. If you are busy looking at the surroundings and not what's happening on the court, then it's actually better if you returned the game out of frustration.Football: Manchester United

Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
I understand why people would want to get rid of the Got Next but that's 1 of my favorite things about park. It makes things more interactive. The stand emotes, walk packages, all of that. Don't get me wrong instant matchmaking or whatever is good, but I'd rather keep it how it is now.
I just looked through almost all of the animations for Park/Pro-AM and I have to say.... This is going to be one crazy year. In a good way, of course.
