We don't really know... but let's be real. How much have the parks ever changed from game to game?

The only thing we know so far is that the parks look the damn same and so do the clothes... logic would say that everything else will be basically the same too.

The things they did add were things that should have been patched for free in 2k16. Things like being able to invite your friends into your park are not new features - they are mistakes that are being fixed (usually free in a patch).

We actually both agree that gameplay is the most important. I'm not sure where you stand, but I feel like the gameplay is up to snuff - I like what they have done.

Every time I finish a game in the park, I think to myself "Man, playing in the Park is so fun, if only they'd fix A... B... C.. D... and E.... - it'd be the best game ever."

I've read that MyPark is their most played mode... Social Media seems to mostly focus on Park too, so don't you think they should get around to fixing A, B, C, D, and E by now?

From what we see, all they've done is added things that are Patch worthy and not $60 worthy.

You're argument is that you feel you got your money's worth because you'll play for a year straight. You'd probably keep playing too, except when the new game comes out, all the good people are going to leave and you want to play with them, so you'll fork over $60 to continue playing with them. Visual Concepts banks on this idea.

You should be paying $60 because you're excited about all of the new features, not because you are essentially paying for access to the new (yet very similar) park. You're paying into a $60 annual membership at this point.

At the end of the day, you're cool with paying $60 for a patch worth of fixes and I'm not. I don't care that there's 30 other modes, this mode sells the game for a lot of people, they should start paying more attention to it.
...I'm paying 60 because I feel the gameplay is not up to snuff, and it is being dealt with in this edition. That patch did not fix everything. Once again, this is opinion, and that's fine. You can argue that you think I'm paying for a "Patch". I don't think I am at all. You're steady trying to pluck parts out of my posts to refute but not actually keeping them in context. I'm happy with what I'm recieving, you are apparently not. If you don't like what they've done, don't buy it.

But don't act like I'm doing something wrong by buying it because I am excited over it when you are not. That's really the long and short, here. Neither of you are happy with it, and the fact that I interjected that it does not bother me set off a powder keg of trying to treat me like I'm foolish. "You're happy paying 60 for a patch", "You're the reason they think it's okay to do this", and "You're what's wrong with the world".

That's a lot of shade thrown over an opinion. I will buy it, And I will continue to buy and support a product that I enjoy, regardless of how that makes you feel. Your option is to buy or not buy. It is all your decision, and it honestly doesn't make a difference to me what you choose to do with your money. It's none of my business.

I'm allowed to state my opinion. I care about gameplay, not graphics. Gameplay is going to be satisfying based on how the prelude feels in my opinion. So, in that regard I simply don't care about the courts.

However, once again, this thread is becoming toxic so I am done. I'm pretty positive that my opinion doesn't warrant the mudslinging and shots that are poorly disguised as debate. Especially in regards that I did not take shots at either of you, I backed up and explained my opinion, but I did not ever try to act like you're not entitled to your opinion. I'm *NOT* however, recieving that courtesy in return.

Why do the parks themselves need to dramatically change? I can see adding another park to rep but why would Sunset look different when its still sunset for example. Venice Beach is still Venice Beach and Rucker Park is still Rucker Park.

I'm venting about 2k, not about you... I can't speak on what the other guy said to you (though, I saw you insulting him as well), but one common thing in your posts is a need to attack the character of the poster you disagree with, rather than the idea itself.

You admitted that Gameplay is something that can be patched for free without the need for a brand new game, so we just have different ideas of what our $60 is worth.

I think people should keep coming in here and venting about their disappointments. I want to encourage everyone that thinks we're getting a Patch (or at best a $20 DLC) worth improvement to let it be known.

As far as I can tell, here is what we get in the new MyPark:

          Free Patch Level Fixes:

          - Slider Adjustments to Gameplay
          - Common sense Matchmaking issues being fixed (you can now invite your friends to the park as it should have been from the start)

          $20 DLC Level Additions:

          - The same clothes now available in 12 colors instead of 4.
          - a DJ.
          - New MyPark Tournament Mode (this actually sounds really cool)
          - Minor adjustments to the Parks (it's now day instead of night.. some light effects added).

Where is the "Brand new game" level stuff? I'm crossing my fingers that I have to eat my words and they've been saving it, but I'm starting to lose hope.

First gameplay in MyPark.. don't click if you're expecting something new

Things I learned from this vid:
            - In the introduction we can see opponents ratings, Archetypes, and Park Badges!
            - When the a game is finished and you gain exp.. it says the percentage number (%#) which you're currently at. For example 40% then you will need 60% to rank up

I hate the fact that Archetypes are shown to your opponent, I mean come on 2k!

Strategy is now out the picture, if I have a lockdown D and people will literally just let me open and might double-team the sharpshooter or playmaking etc.

            What do you guys think?

Not a fan of that either.

They need to patch that out.

Interesting. They did at least polish up Rivet. Those grates and the floorboards being wooden planks are definitely new (Concrete last year).

Does kind of suck that they show archetypes, Guess you'll just have to use that to your advantage somehow. Doubling up a sharpshooter and leaving the defender open is still a poor strategy though. In park that's guaranteed a one pass away help scenario.

In that situation I'd tell the LDD to hit the opposite corner and then cut as soon as the double comes. Hit him in stride on the way to the rim with a pass and pray he passes to the big who will have to rotate.

That would create a situation where you actually are using the poor IQ shown in the double team, because they think they can ignore someone. With the right spacing that's a huge liability, because I doubt the defense will be able to recover cross court quick enough to stop the cut from LDD, and either way 90% of most park players are going to immediately collapse on that cut, leading to a quick dump to the C.

Alternatively, with an actual squad, I'd have the point bring the ball down, hit the LDD at the top of the key and hard baseline cut through a screen set by the big to the opposite wing. This will either force the big to rotate to the wing to stop the 3 leaving a paint mismatch, give up the open 3, or do nothing. Hell, if the defense avoids the screen, you could hit the PG and have him attack the closeout, or the PG could loop straight into a dribble pitch back up top with the LDD. Or you could have the center rotate up and offball screen for the LDD to cut to the rim.

Alright, this actually might be an advantage in disguise

It's a shame the show it, and it's a shame the courts are the same with just a few coats of paint. But I can see the groups I roll with turning that strict disadvantage into a false sense of security. Blood is itching, I need to play.

For the Record, since I'm worried it'll be misconstrued, I really REALLY don't like that they show the archetypes. That hurts a basic layer of strategy by giving the opponents info I'd definitely prefer hidden. But, With some smart thinking you can turn that into an advantage since you can play around the way the defense reacts to a poor shooter or scorer like a LDD. It looks like I actually might need to draw up plays this year(That situation with the Lockdown guy at the top of the key is part of a play I drew up for park last year with about 6-8 branches depending on the defender reactions that took advantage of spacing 3 on 3 gives you. Looks like I get to be Gregg Popovich this year. )

It would be cool if you were able to take notes on NBA 2K for certain players using the voice activation. Similar to when playing online poker, you can take notes on a specific player and if you happen to run into them again, you can see those notes.

For example: throws many alley-oops, likes taking corner 3s, can't shoot, always cutting to the hoop, leaking out on defense etc.

Obviously some players will progress since you last played them, but would be a good way of keeping tabs on players that you run into in MyPark and would add another layer of strategy.

I'm definitely not a fan of 2K listing the archetype. I don't care if it only takes 2 possessions to figure it out, at that point it could be 6-0 in a game to 21.

My dude. That Idea is brilliant. Honestly, I'd like to see them allow us to draw up plays for park using like a basic creator although I don't think there's a button combo to run them currently. If they want us to really embrace team ball and basketball over cheese, that's the next step. Those are tools needed to deal with situations where guys are ignoring someone on offense.
