Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
I don't know how much I personally want to touch the park this year. I don't mind them keeping the courts the same, but they retracted from other parts of the park. THE STAGE. This was the only place to go on 2K that guaranteed playing good players and having competitive games, and they ousted it. I was honestly expecting them to build on the stage by adding pro-am wagers and bringing high rollers back. I just don't get the park agenda this year.... its like forcing professionals to play with high schoolers, taking the stage away and not having matchmaking filters for pro-am will really take away from my experience this year.Comment

Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
They really took 3 in the key out?
Lemme guess a bunch of people were like "Ermahgawd, in real life no one playing pick up at the park calls 3 seconds...It's unrealistic!!!"
Right, 3 seconds in the key isn't realistic but a bunch on 7'3 centers camping in the paint while grabbing their nuts is realistic, see that at my local park all day.Comment

I was watching some guy on twitch like a half hour ago and he said it's still thereComment

Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
Exactly! This is why we shouldn't make assumptions. Like he tweeted a couple of minutes ago, they let the streamers stream what they want them to stream. They knew this would happen. Which is why they did what they did. I think it's all a surprise.Comment

Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
This pleases me, especially since my debacle is either 59 in threes, or min/Max Reb-STR-Shooting off Dribble. I think I'll say screw 3s and become the biggest threat inside the lineFemale Russell Westbrook.

Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
is this going to be the official park thread?
Felt good, got three games in last night with my 6'8 point forward. Gameplay feels more weighted and contact was more prevalent. Got some nice forced pickups off of dribble spammers by just playing the angle.
I saw a playmaker PG attempt to be steph curry and fail miserably, also saw a point forward trying to hit contested threes and coming up empty. this bodes well for people having to learn to play to their strengths, at least for now. its funny how these guys both chose playmaking builds but then barely passed. I was looking at the TV with the Nick Young face.
me and a random post scoring C went to work on a squad of and 1 dribblers. shout out to my dude, always fun to get matched with a random and after a few plays realize that you're actually gonna share the ball and create good shots for each other. say what you want about the park, but that part is true to life. nothing bonds two strangers faster than the game of bball. and we've all played pickup with a dude who went nut and you wanted to kill him lol. I wanted to give this dude a virtual hug. I would have stayed longer but was already 2am east coast and id be dead right now.
the highest rated guys were preorder VC guys, (like me) around 85-86. took me about 120k in VC to fill the 80 upgrade slots you are given to start. hope the gameplay balance can remain even when guys start maxing out in the mid 90s. Happy with my build, had to really sacrifice on shooting off the dribble and post scoring, to add to where i wanted improvement. People are really going to have to evaluate how they play and where upgrades would take the most effect. FWIW, i ended up with 71 in open three, and was able to can two big ones in the last game i played. Both were open off of a good look. shout to my big man.PSN: PrettyToneyComment

Re: NBA 2k17 - MyPark
Did you max out your wingspan that decreased your 3 by 1 point? I also created 6'8 Point forward but gave him like 2 or 3 inch shorter arms and it gave me 1 point in mid range and no points in 3 (stayed at 72) so I'll be making another player today with long wingspan as that 1 point is negligible.

I went with 240 I believe, maybe 245. Wanted a strength boost for defensive purposes. Hoped the agility would balance me out. Went with a slightly shorter wingspan too. I believe I can max at 72. Used the last upgrade somewhere else. The only tower i maxed completely was defense.
My dream build was a LDD but wanted to be able to hit threes off good ball movement. Liking what I see so far. I'll probably have some trouble against the best offensive players but that's realistic and I can live with it. Against the majority I'll be able to hold my own or excel
