Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
im playing on all star in mycareer and it is REALLY REALLY hard to win games, im 17-17 at the moment, i have to literally play perfectly just to win. its almost impossible to ever establish a solid lead and the rare times you do the cpu makes miraculous comebacks. i used to play on hof in 2k16 and have good 60 win seasons.
What team are you on? I haven't had too many issues on all star through my 3 careers so far. I'm actually thinking of going up to Superstar, maybe even HOF. I'm off to a 7-2 start with the Lakers in my post scorer C career (71 overall), including me just dominating Boogie Cousins. I enjoyed it but there's something off about dominating A player that good with my overall so low.
Don't get me wrong though, all-star does seem a tad more challenging this year. With my shot creator, my prelude player, it was tough getting wins at first.

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
After 50 games, my Lockdown PF is averaging 20 ppg, 15 rebs, 2.4 bpgs, and 1.4 steals. I am on the Magic. We are 36-14 and I think we are #1 in the East. We started off around 9-11 and went on a good streak. I really like the lineup. Vucevic is a beast on the instead. Fournier has been consistent. Justice has been okay, but not consistent. Our main 4 of 5 starters all average over 14 ppg. I wish Justice was a little more aggressive on both ends of the floors. He can disappear at times. We also have a logjam at Frontcourt. We have me, Vucevic, Biyombo, Gordon, and Ibaka. I would love to trade Biyombo. He and Ibaka only mainly plays when I'm not on court, especially Biyombo only play with him for less than 5 minutes a game. We don't have depth at SF behind Jeff Green. I don't like Gordon at SF. So, I would trade Biyombo for a 3 & D SF. But, I definitely think I will resign with the Magic after this year. We have great chemistry.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
I'm waiting for the Roster update to start my career. I want to create a undersized Sharpshooter SG. I want to create a 6'4 176 SG. I know the jumpshot I want to create when that becomes available. I never created a 3pt shooter in any my careers, so this will be the first.
I would love to be drafted by Kings. Because besides Cousins, they have no one else really. Me and Justice can become a dominant backcourt and both have Cousins to dump ball off too. And when he gets doubled then one of us would be open for a three pointerComment

Anyone get their OJ cut scenes after January? I'm in January and don't even have his name in my phone as a contact and there's been no mention of orange juice.Comment

Anyone with a PG career, how has this worked with Justice? Do you guys play PG or are you forced to SG? I'm unsettled on the career I want for offline, post scorer is fun but I'm thinking of a PG as well. I don't want to have to play the 2 though at all.

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
I'm finishing my first regular season with my 6'4 PG Playmaker averaging 22.8 pt 4.3 reb 8.9 assist.
I know this is a OJ game but i'm gonna convert in Pres-Kat thing. No matter what he is doing stay at Minny or leave i'm going with Towns anywhere. This guy is a monster. Too big,too fast doing the P&R is awesome because he can shoot close-mid range and decent too for 3pt. He is leading the league on Rebounds (15.1) and 24.2 points per game. Second in the Race for MVP and me fourth. Steph and KD are in the mix with us.Comment

I have a Shot Creator SG on the T-Wolves. Justice, Wiggins, Bjelica, KAT, and I make one heck of a starting five. Our bench is pretty dangerous, too. It has been an incredibily fun team to play on.Last edited by MrCrashAndBurn; 10-28-2016, 02:38 AM.Comment

You will spend time at the 2 -- SG was automatically added as my secondary position. I play the majority at the point.

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
so with the stats i'm seeing posted, does everybody get MVP/DPOY/All-NBA shouts every year?
also, how many TOV/PG is everybody else averaging? i averaged about 6 AST/2 TOV as a shot creator SF on all star difficulty. i'm guessing turnovers get really inflated on higher difficulties. played on superstar/HOF for a couple games and it felt like the moment i got hit by double teams, a TOV would happen, even when i try passing out of it.
i guess in the end, it comes down to the fact that double team cheese still not fixed. smh 2k.Last edited by fakeassc; 10-31-2016, 01:28 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
So halfway through my 1st season, on my 6th character a 6'1 PG SS (no VC bought so far, grinding til around 75-80 on each, to decide which archetype would fit me best), with 90 3pt shooting, HoF Catch and Shoot badge and others on Gold, playing against the Bulls, I've just missed 6 of 7 WIIIIIDEE OPEN perfectly timed fastbreak looks while Mirotic just hit his 3rd more-than-well contested shot.
This game is a joke. Had to take a break and come here to unburden.
I don't want to hit 80% of my shots as most whining SS out there. Don't want to hit half court miracle shots consistently. Don't want to shot 50% of the looks with a hand right at my face. Just want to feel that my ratings and grind matter, which they completely don't, and hit my shots in a non heavily scripted way.
Beluba brags about "nobody should be averaging 80+% from 3PT range" and I totally agree, but neither should be the ****ing Mirotic with his 83 contested 3pt rating hitting 100% of his. This doesn't make sense.
The ratings are delusional. Except for athletic, playmaking, stuff you get on your char motion, I feel no difference on having a 70 3pt rating or 90+ whatsoever. Used to hit the same % of wide open looks when I was 55, if not more. Probably hit 1 out of 20 5ft bs contested so far.
This is not a basketball sim, this is a completely joke, and a bad one.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
That's interesting. I always thought it just happened no matter what, but come to think of it, I think you have to go to an optional practice to trigger it. Have you skipped all of those to this point?
