Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
i also really don't understand why it's hard to give out information freely.
we simply want to enjoy the game at the highest level of competition. we can't do this as defensive players.
But, of course, the sharp-shooters have unlimited access to their HOF badges within 12 hours.
If they wanted people to be good at the game for badges, you wouldn't make them earn-able on rookie.Comment

So give or take every 10 wins your team levels up. Right now team I'm on are elite 1 sponsored by spalding. So it seems as of right now it's easy gonna be easy to get to elite 6

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Is nobody else having errors and being kicked as the Proam games about to start? My squad is able to join our arena and as we're starting 1-3 of us usually get kicked right as it tips off.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
There is a free agent pool in 2k you can join when you go to pro am. Haven't given it a try as of yet though, so idk entirely how it works.

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
it's stupid.
Can't sort by overall?
can't sort by badges?
archetype?
it's next to useless.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I feel like the HOF badges are going to break the balance in Pro-Am and I don't get how they thought it was a good idea to have them, especially when you combine that with how much easier it is to shoot this year. I'm already seeing 7'3 sharpshooter centers doing hesitation 3 hop backs and shooting from 28 feet, why is that hesititation 3 into a deep three not counted as a off the dribble shot too?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
If they could tune sharpshooters some way that would be perfect. I had a feeling sharpshooters would be he most OP position and it is. Had someone do a step back 3 from damn near half court. And also I don't like to question the devs but honestly how did y'all forget to add illegal screens? People set the most illegal screens ever and never get called for it

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
That's the only downside to this archetype for me, I rarely get to actually play in the post without 2 or 3 people swiping at me. I upped my playmaking to 5/7 though so my passes are on target for most of the part.

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
My Experience - Xbox One
My friends and I hopped on Pro-AM last night for the first time. I created the team and explained to them how enter Free Agency so that I could invite them.
We were all really excited to see the Team Arena, and we were having a lot of fun in there. Then we started searching for a match, and found one almost instantly. Loading screen prompts up, and guess what.
"There has been a problem with your connection to the 2K servers." - I get kicked! I was pissed, as I was the PG and facilitated the offense. Nobody else in the game got kicked.
So I hang out in the Team Arena shooting around for 20-25 minutes while my friends play and end up winning by a large margin. They come back in the Team Arena, and we chill for a couple minutes while people go to the bathroom, etc. Then one of my friends takes a look at the stats, and guess what?
The game didn't count - Record: 0-0. We were all upset. We waited around for about 5 min to see if it will update and it never did.
We start searching for our second game, and almost instantly again we find an opponent. Myself being eager to play, especially after not getting to play last game patiently waits while it loads. And guess what?
I GOT KICKED AGAIN - "There has been a problem with your connection to the 2K servers." I was freaking out! What the hell is going on I was telling myself?! Was it my internet? Was it 2K's?
I run every test imaginable - Speedtest.net gives me 55MB/s DL, 15MB/s UL. Diagnostic tests on my Xbox One show that my NAT is Open with a 0% in packet loss, shows similar DL and UL speeds that I had from Speedtest.net.
I'm frustrated beyond belief, so I again sit in the Team Arena until the game gets over. The team my friends are playing against are a little better so everybody is focused, I can tell by the mood in the Party Chat. They end up winning by a slight margin, one of my friends (Sharpshooter) ended up having a big game.
They come back to Team Arena, and guess what? THE GAME DIDN'T COUNT AGAIN! We wait around 5 min to see if it would update, my friends are getting upset as their stats didn't count as some of them had big games. They feel like there is no point in playing, so everybody just says forget it and signs off.
These are the kind of things that kill your game, and discourage people from continuing to play it.Last edited by Jhawkfootball06; 09-22-2016, 09:57 AM.Comment
