Did pick pocket HOF get nerfed ?

Yeah putting the game away. Defense just isn't as effective as it should be. Very disappointed

Is there a way to call plays on defense in pro am?

Our team wants to run zone, but there are time where we run with an AI and we can't. I would love if we could tell the CPU to run zone with us. I'm not the PG so I don't know what menus you can bring up besides the matchup menu.

What's better to create, a SG slasher or SF slasher? I'd think a SG slasher (like 6"6) would be a little faster, get the acrobat badge, maybe better dribbling/shooting? And the SF would be better near the basket for rebounding, blocks and he'd have the big dunk package. What position would be better and am i forgetting something?

No you cannot, you are SOL if stuck with an AI

We had to start playing the tournament 15 minutes late today because it took our center 35 minutes to clear his reserve space and load up the main menu.

We barely won our first game because our shooting guard lagged out and we were playing a man down against a very good team of 5 human players.

We had no chance in our second game because 4 out of our 5 players lagged out, while the other team had 5 human players.

The lagouts have been like this the entire tournament except for week 2.

If this kind of network performance happened in a big-money esport that mainstream gamers and mainstream websites actually cared about (Street Fighter, DOTA, Counter-Strike, et al.), there would be a huge uproar.

But since the mainstream media doesn't cover sports games outside of previews/reviews, 2K is able to escape their scrutiny. And because this is just another instance of 2K being 2K, nobody in the sports community bats an eye when these sort of shenanigans happen, since it's been par for the course this entire console generation.

The gross thing is when they talk on 2ktv as if there are no problems at all, and pretend like this tournament has legit legs to it and act as if it is an ESports game with all kinds of strategy.

Not hating on teams that make the tourney, but it's clear those guys have a leg up and the whole system of deciding who advances is pure garbage.

Any squads looking for a pass-first PG. I put the game down for awhile and am trying to get back into it.

THIS. Until 2k holds accountability for the issues users are experiencing we'll never be able to move forward. Scott O Gallagher or whatever his name is seem so into the PRO AM scene but always dodges tweets on twitter when it comes to discussing issues in the game mode. Last years system wasn't that great but it was much better than this year. Shoutout to the teams that got in on the Xbox side. Good to see those teams that were grinding for Elite 6 actually make it.

Not only that, but what safeguards are there for teams throwing games? What if teams message each other and say, "hey you guys are down 20 and are gonna lose, just let us score so we can get in".

Lol good old 2K! Tried to play a pro am game with 5 guys and we start loading in and the C says he didn't make it in with us to shoot around but go ahead because his game is already starting. And then low and behold 2K had put him on the other team! Good old 2K!

Collusion was definitely a major issue in last year's tournament, since anybody could quickly create a throwaway team, then just keep on searching for a match and exiting out until they finally got matched up with their friends.

I don't feel like that was a problem this year, though, due to the new elite tier prerequisite, plus the time limit that forced teams to complete games as quickly as possible, with not a second being wasted between matches.

The major problems with this year's tournament were:

                          A) The decision to stick with a single-day, time-restricted, points-based format, even though no one in the Pro Am community liked that type of system when it was used last year.

                          B) Persistent in-game lag and random prematch/midmatch disconnections disrupting 4 of the 5 qualifying weekends.

If you want to include gameplay issues, I still think it's BS that 2K has done nothing to address the animation swap glitch that allows any archetype to equip contact dunks and elite dribbles. You can still do that glitch right now if you want to, even though it has been all over YouTube for the past month. And based on the mere tap of the shoulder that 2K gave to all the people who exploited the instant-98 overall glitch at the beginning of 2K17 -- including many of the teams at the top of the Pro Am leaderboards -- I'm sure that the punishment for this animation swap glitch -- if there ever is any -- will be just as soft as we've come to expect from any offense that doesn't negatively affect 2K's microtransaction sales or MyTeam auction house.

the animation switch glitch is of little consequence for the most part....it really only benefits Point-Forwards.

Which is on of the most commons archetypes and is most defiantly of consequence when I just had a 6'5 sharpshooter do a big man contact dunk on my under the rim

Maybe you guys can help me out with something. In pro-am you get the most VC ( and rep for walk on) when you have a high teammate grade. The quickest way to a high teammate grade is assists, rebounds, good defense.

So why are there so many ballhogs and guys just trying to force shots?
