Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Pro Am team arena matches were running horribly on Xbox One all day and all night yesterday.
At least 1 and as many as 3 of my teammates were getting lagged out before the tipoff in about 66% of the matches we played. And if we actually got into a game without being disconnected, the network performance was extremely choppy and laggy, making it difficult to defend and shoot accurately.
This now makes 2 out of 3 tournament events that have been plagued by network issues (week 1 was just as bad as week 3, and week 2 I didn't have any problems).
I said it in the other tournament thread and I'll say it again here:
Don't host a $250,000 online tournament until your network is reliable and your servers are ready to handle the player load. There's no excuse for this kind of network performance in a game that makes as much money as NBA 2K.Last edited by jyoung; 01-15-2017, 05:43 PM.Comment

When the serves can't even handle one of those things at a time, they decide to do them all at once. I'm surprised there's no park after dark too.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
The scheduling and scoring format have definitely contributed to this Pro Am's tournament problems.
2K's leaderboard system deducts points from the winning team's score based on the number of CPU players that are in a game at the moment it concludes. So every person that lags out before the end of a match is hurting the winning team's point total.
Plus if a game starts with 2 or less human players on either side, then that game's result is usually thrown out and won't count towards the standings. In a scoring system where it's a race to complete as many games as possible, just having one game that didn't count can be enough to keep a team from qualifying.
I'm sure that 2K knew these lagouts were happening prior to the start of their tournament, yet they decided to ignore these issues and stick with their previously announced schedule and scoring system.
I won't even get into the MyPlayer animation swap glitch that still hasn't been addressed, since I seem to be the only person on this site who believes that a playmaker being able to contact dunk over a lockdown defender is a serious gameplay problem.

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I've got an XB1 ProAm team looking for one more guy to round out the five. We need a SF and want someone with good defense and good IQ. Ideally we'd need a Sharpshooter for a balanced team, however, I won't turn away any archetype if you fit the mold. Hit me umm at Mr7BrowN of XB1 if you're interested.
We usually play nights 8-11 pm Central and weekends whenever.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Time and time again, NBA 2K17 has shown that it cannot handle a single "let's get everyone to log on and play at the same time" event, let alone multiple events running simultaneously across different server-dependent game modes.
The scheduling and scoring format have definitely contributed to this Pro Am's tournament problems.

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I hate to beat a dead horse, but the matchmaking on walk on REALLY needs to be looked at. I took my center onto walk on last night and spent two games on the wing(was too annoyed to try anymore games after that) . One game I was the SG, the other game I was at SF. Just really frustrating having a team full of bigs all trying to figure out how to play in the paint

2K is an embarrasment, every single weekend you cant even get people in the same court. Instead people are divided by regions or servers or whatever 2005 technology they use for this games online modes.Comment
