We tried playing with 3 sharpshooters in one lineup yesterday at pg sg and c. I have a lockdown defender and I also have a point forward and unlike a lot of other pro-am teams when I have my point forward with those shooters I run the offense. One of the sharpshooters has HOF badges and I just got dimer, he can make shots from nearly halfcourt and with defenders in his chest.

It may not be that bad in walk on, but on teams where players hunt for shots for their shooters it's going to have to be tuned. I had 8pts 7asts in the 1st quarter before I got lagged out and they were hitting shots from everywhere.

yea this was just walk on. a team who has chemistry could exploit it.

i guess my fear is how will they tune it down?as it is i LOVE pro ams gameplay and dont want it to change too much. but im only 1 of millions lmao

I'm a sharpshooter and I'm shooting like 56% from 3pt range. I was like 6/7 my last game, it's a bit too much. I'd gladly take -5 on all my shooting in exchange for +5 on defense

I love the different styles I've seen so far.

Last night we played

2 Stretch Bigs
2 Slashers
1 Playmaker

And got smoked because our big couldn't protect the rim because they got pulled out the paint and our wings got exposed on D by the slashers and their elite finishing. We were down by 20 in the first quarter but got it to 7 with 2 minutes left and they pulled away

Then we faced

2 glass cleaners
3 sharpshooters

Man I was frustrated because we could not get a rebound to save our life lol but we won that game by 4

Pro-Am is a lot of fun right now.

Pro-Am is a lot of fun right now.

We played a few games last night, We ran 2 SS, a glass C, a playmaking PG and a SF LDD (me). We had a similar experience. The first game we went against two monsters in the paint, got smoked on the boards and in transition (they had 2 slashers). The next game, we went against a bunch of shooters and the game was way different. They couldnt get a rebound and I was able to shutdown their best player with the LDD. We won by 20. Love seeing all of the different teams players/styles.

I agree I love the different style of teams we've played so far, so much better than the standard 2 7'3 big men from 2k16. Also I like playing with my lockdown defender because most people have yet to go against one and when the game starts they try me a few times then they just give up.


coachcolbert the shooting will need to be tuned a bit I think as a team we're shooting 50% from three and my point forward has the lowest % which is 38% and I only have a 70 three.

Can you confirm what you press in order to select, and change defensive matchups in pro-am? I know that the PG is the only one that can do it; but we had our PG trying to press every button to figure it out, and weren't able to. PS4 by the way.

Pro am walk on xbox one seems totally broken right now. Have yet to get a game working after like 10 tries. Either get disconnected or flat out never get enough people to start it up.


Also noticing a good number of people that need to do a rescan for their faces. Seeing green and black faces all over the place.

Having a blast playing pro am right now, had my first triple double of the year last night



We ran

1 playmaker
2 Sharpshooters
1 Glass Cleaner PF
1 Stretch Big C

High P&R with the stretch C & the GC setting down screens from one end of the baseline to the other to get shooters open.

We've also found that having a system on defense of switching when the SS get beat off the dribble helps

Enjoying Pro Am so much, just wish we had our custom unis and court lol

Does anyone know at what level you can use custom uploaded images for your team? My team is 21-1 at pro level, but I can only use the images in the game still.

Yeah, I was kinda mad at myself after doing it but it's whatever now. It wouldn't be so bad if 2k at least made your guy a 70 to start your career. Going from a 55 to 99 aint no joke and then when you can pay to get to an 85 right off the bat, it would have been like 3 weeks of trying to play catch up to get to the 80s at this rate.

It's not that hard to get higher ratings by just playing mycareer. Im in January and played all games but front end of back to backs, some 25-28 games total.

Overall 84.
5 min HoF, about 800-1000 VC for ~10 min of playtime.

It gets a lot easier after Christmas or so when all the sponsors that approached you in past finally start paying real VC. 2-4 thousand VC for a random appearance ain't too shabby.

finally got into a pro am walk. I get three ai and one guy that is like five feet tall that quit right off the bat. And I'm playing against a full team of people. Yesterday I had 4 ai and they were actually good and I won the game. This time they were damn horrible. got blown out by 20.

PG's only. On defense, press L1 and the assignment wheel will come up.
