I'd suggest 6ft10 to 7ft as the sweet spot for Pro Am. You can still compete at 6ft8 and 6ft9 but for protecting the rim: the additional inches do seem to help in Pro Am. Those 7ft bigs naturally protect the rim well just off length advantages alone..

Saw the latest episode of 2KTV and they were discussing the playstyles of the teams in the tournament and Scott OG said that the teams all play so quick. Don't suppose that's something to do with the scoring system used to determine qualifiers for the tournament
I would argue that like last year seedings are a useless guide on the who the favourites are, last year GFG and Drewkerbockers were both outside the top 5 seedings if i recall correctly.

It's also funny how they say winners win and all that stuff when some top teams like witness started calling them out on twitter because guys were losing qualifier spots due to 2K being 2K and kicking guys then taking 20 to past the logos screen and guys winning by 50+ but only getting 500 points cause the other guys quit with 2 sec left just being excuses to try and make up for being losers.

Since patch 1.10 came out, we are facing HUUUUUGE problems with the matchmaking.

We wait something like 30 minutes in the arena, but an opponent cannot be found.

We had to quit pro am two days in a row because of this.

is anyone else having the same problem?
            Any fix for it?

FYI, we are Elite team and are from Europe.

The first player I created in 2k17 was a PF Lockdown Defender (6'11 230 lbs). To this day, I still think he is best player I have lol. You have two choices on PF...you can create a SF Lockdown Defender and make him 6'10 (maybe like 220 to 240 lbs) and have the HOF Pick Pocket and HOF Pick Dodger...or, create a larger PF or shorter C (make sure his weight/height correlates to C/PF instead of PF/SF) and get HOF Rim Protector and HOF Bruiser).

Both are good options but keep in mind Strength and the two positions the player gets assigned (C/PF or PF/SF). These are the positions your HOF Defensive Stopper will take away. For rebounding, I actually get more rebounds with my 6'11 PF Lockdown Defender 230 lbs then my 7'3 Paint Protector 260 lbs. I made them both very skinny so they "sneak" in for boards but definitely don't out muscle anyone for boards (i.e. Glass Cleaners).

I want the paint protector badge so pf/c would be better. Also, want to help out on the board/boxouts. Maybe 6'11 but what weight? Think 7 footer would be too slow in case i have to defend the corners and against baseline cheese.

260 - 280 for weight at that height like Dwight Howard and Andre Drummond

Not hating on teams that make the tourney, but it's clear those guys have a leg up and the whole system of deciding who advances is pure garbage.
Word. A 250k esports tourny that's dependent on 2K's crappy servers is flawed from the get-go. Either the servers have to get better or a better format should be put forth 'til the servers are more reliable.

I'm not sure what format would work best, I do think 2k17 > 2k16's though with Elite teams only and single elimination. That weeds out a lot of the bad teams. But it should factor in WHO someone beats too. If they're getting matched up with non-elite teams, they can get in easier than another team with a worse 'schedule'. Quality of schedule should matter too. Doesn't appear to in the official rules...

Maybe even expand the tournament like a 68 team tourny or wtvr

Seriously NO ONE not even the teams who got in like this system of how badly can you blow them out without them quitting.

Pro Am is so one sided its not even funny anymore.

First the matchmaking is terrible. I keep getting a undersized team against a full team. And then 2K expects us to just endure a butt whooping without leaving .

You ever notice how one team seems to get all the 50/50 balls. How every rebound always seems to bounce to their favor. How they get all the foul calls and you don't.

I feel you I just played one where at half time my team has ZERO free throws and the other team had 22... in a half.. in 5 min quarters. And then 2K must have said "Oh sh*t" cause the second half we passed them in attempts because they didn't have any again and we had like 6 in a row.

Gotta love the "fouls" where the game decides that YOU, the user, will attempt a reach in. Even though no other button was pressed.
