It's really amusing what happens to those teams when the playmaker's screens aren't making contact. They become completely lost.

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
This is why I have to play with ppl I know or even play center myself. There needs to be an icon so we can know the personnel on both sides. PGs should be able to see GC on stretch and switch the matchup. (Though he should be able to see that without an icon after the first couple of buckets).

But whenever I didn't get caught up he would just dribble out of control and they would have to take an awful shot. I honestly hope they get rid of the automatic bucket with a green release.Last edited by AshamanCarnage; 02-24-2017, 03:06 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 Pro-Am League's
Ive seen quite a few elite post scorers in pro am. The guy you faced must of been mediocre because with that size disadvantage you probably would of graded out lol. There is not much you can do vs the spin fade or correctly executed drop step.
Thank God there is not a lot of these monsters roaming. All I see at the 4 is tall small forward sharpshooters or glass cleaners.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Same but playing stretch center in walk on very rarely does the opposing center guard u at the 3. I finished with 58 points yesterday shot 18 of 21 from 3. Next game I dropped 44 and game after that a lazy 31 on 10 of 13 shooting.
Last game finally opponents adjusted and started double teaming me after I went 8 for 9 with 24 points after first quarter lmao. Finished with 33 and 9 assits.

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
It's so frustrating that I can't play none of my other characters in Walk On for fun because the skill level of the people you get matched up with on your team is so low that you simply can't win games.. I have about an 85% win record in Pro-Am, but every time I play on any other character besides my Playmaker, we lose by 15-20. On my Playmaker, I can average 20/12 in my sleep and win by 30.. But on any other character, I can absolutely dominate the game, and we lose by 20.. People's shot selection, decision making, and defense are god awful.. I usually play with 1 or 2 other people and if I'm not Playmaker, we have about a 50/50 or feels like a worse shot of winning.. I have a ball playing my Post Scorer/Lockdown Defender/Slasher but we just can't win because we'll get one teammate that will give up 40 points himself while going 1/7 and somehow managing to ALWAYS be in the way on offense.. Last time I played my Post Scorer, the SG's matchup had 24 points at halftime, while my friend who was playing PG's matchup had 2.. I told him to switch the matchups and guard the SG.. The SG ended up with 28 (4 points after halftime), while the PG ended up with 24 (22 points after halftime), so our 96 overall Superstar 2 SG was directly responsible for having 46 points dropped on him..
I need people to play with and who KNOW how to win without resorting to all the lame cheese tactics like sharpshooter standing behind Brick Wall screens all game. Too many people think that they need to be involved in every single play and don't know how much it would help the whole team if they'd just go stand in the opposite corner.. They don't need to be setting on ball screens or running zig zags behind the ball handler dragging an unnecessary defender on them constantly..Comment

I just hope that next year they implement a some kind of system that can better match make players based on skill level and basketball IQ. Walk on would have potential if they could do that.Last edited by bottledwaterfan25; 02-25-2017, 02:25 AM."I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I see your points, but walk on is not as pro am is supposed to be played.
Next year they should really work on the free agency menu because now it's useless.
Eg. I should be able to search teams/fee agents by nationality/language or by archetypesLast edited by franzis; 02-25-2017, 08:05 AM.Comment

Used to take 1% after a win with A+ at All star 5 level which was changing to 1.6 after going to park and now only getting 0.6%

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Anyone who wants to play Pro-Am still post tourney on PS4 hit me up.
My PSN isSpoilertrulyinfemous
I feel like walk on has gotten worse in the past few weeks, I'm guessing because the tourney is over and no one plays anymore, and literally the dregs are left.
I now derive most my pleasure from the mode by keeping games close single handedly or by getting terrible teammates kicked.
Its just a shame coz good players then realise I know what I'm doing and double me all game. I've been triple teamed a few times (and was swiftly booted for turnovers lol)Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Does anyone else have just an "off" game? My sharpshooter went 1-9 last game, I was bricking wide open threes (maxed three point, HOF catch and shoot, HOF corner and HOF dead eye), I bricked a two handed dunk and a lay up.
I don't know what was going on, I couldn't get a green release to save my life and no matter how close the meter was, I clanked it. My guy didn't even guard me the last part of the game. It was really bizarre.
I've had that with my SS too.
Playing with a PG playmaker now and its a lot rarer. Most of my personal bad games are correlated directly to there being a HOF LockDown defender on the court.
Otherwise my biggest issue is Walk On teammates lolComment
