Having fun with my new expansion team, St Louis Sound! I love the idea pfnbuilding my team from expansion draft with the goal to make the playoffs in 5 years. Currently hanging at 8-6 record, 8th seed in the west, i am still thinking if i should build the team over draft or gain enough cap size to target stars in the off season.

My starting lineup are as follows:
Ezeli
Gibson
W chandler
Ginobili
Jennings

Bench:
boban, diallo
Ja green, stokes
Je grant, coty clarke (surprising i scored 35 with him on all star diff!)
T hardaway jr, mcrae
Satoransky, Ullis

I signed kevin mchale as head coach and using rockets playbook but im still thinking which playbook and freelance set will best fit my lineup. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

I have a question about MyLeague, sorry if this has been answered before: Is there limit to how many teams I can rebrand before starting my league? For instance, can I design a bunch of ABA courts and uniforms, then swap the NBA teams out for my custom ABA teams?

No limit. Though, if you're on one of the consoles and rebrand more than 3 teams your save will be converted to an online-only save.

Opted to start in year 2 with the expansion Baltimore Barons.
Currently 1-3 but each game since the first has been tightly contested.

As far as expansion teams go, I really like my roster.

PF Serge Ibaka
SF Brandon McGee (R) 81 ovr
SG JJ Reddick
PG DJ Augustin

Bench
Iggy is my 6th man.

Two 20 year old 69 ovr centers whose names escape me. One has the last name of Stone who is decent as a low post scorer, the other's last name starts with a Z and is more of a rebounder.

A 70 overall PF with pretty good (B) potential. Solid rebounder and decent defender. Last name of Davis.

A SF/PF with the last name of Grant. Has the potential to be a terrific defender. Hard to get him minutes though. 72 overall I think.

SG/PG Tyler Johnson. Solid backup but...next year his salary jumps to $19 mil.

PG Felder. Decent quickness and passing, can also hit open jumpers. Weak on defense. Johnson typically runs point though.

Hired David Blatt as my coach.

It took some thought to sign Iggy. That SF/PF position was already crowded, and I want to groom Grant to be an elite defender, but no one on my team can currently match up with perimeter players.

Defensively I like what I am seeing, but I have yet to play any elite perimeter player aside from Rus. That game we lost by 18 so...yeah lol.
On offense the team is still finding its footing. Ibaka has been my leading scorer and while I like him, he should not be my top scorer. I gotta get JJ more involved and find some consistency on offense.

If this was 10 years ago I truly think this team could contend for a playoff spot because of my big's defense. Alas not so in today's league.

The other expansion team is the Seattle Supersonics. They drafted PF Deon Clark (78 ovr) with their pick.

Other notable picks:
Wizards: Davon Austin (83 ovr) (#1 overall)
Hornets: Kevin Williams (81 ovr)
Lakers: Ben Reily (77 ovr)

Last game I lost 94-90 to the 76ers. This ain't the same Philly squad though. They are rated as the 4th best team in the league and their front court is scary good. I don't think they are title contenders just yet though, their backcourt is very weak.

(sucks that the controller select screen does not show my team's ranking, only that they are 85 overall. Where does that fall in the league?)

Oh and the Blazers won the finals in year 1.

Yeah it's a shame that expansion teams aren't included in the team rankings when starting the game, it makes showing the rankings for any team kind of pointless imo.

Interesting about the blazers...I've seen a lot of weirdness going on with simmed games this year. Horrible teams doing well, and good teams performing very mediocre. A lot of 1-8 and 2-7 upsets in the first round, and those 7-8 seeds can make it to the conference and NBA finals at decent rates.

I'm 42 games in Season 1 with the Knicks. I'm 23-19, First in the Division and 4th in the conference. Played 10 games, summed 10 games.

Melo and DRose are leading the team in Scoring (19ppg, 17 ppg) with KP averaging 15 ppg.

Brandon Jennings got hurt in the first game and missed the first month which led me to sign Norris Cole out of Free Agency.

So far Kyle Quinn(7ppg, 10 rpg), Norris Cole (7ppg, 6apg) and Kuzminskas (10ppg) have been killing it for me coming off the bench. Brandon Jennings still hasn't played a game-check since coming back from injury.

With half the season over, I'm making a push into the playoffs. I took a quick look around the league and noticed that the Clippers are sitting at 16-27 with Jordan and Redick missing considerable time to injury.

My question is, should I make a trade for Chris Paul at this time? The Clippers will almost certainly miss the playoffs this year and Chris Paul would be fuming. Although this situation may not be realistic in real life, I believe it's definitely realistic in this scenario.

What trade would be realistic? I'm definitely not giving up KP, as CP3 will probably be walking at the end of the year and I would have the upper hand in this scenario.

I'm thinking a Point and Shooting Guard swap would work Rose and Lee for Paul and Crawford (or Redick which I prefer but Cap space) and possibly a draft pick thrown in.

DRose has definitely performed great and I see it as the Clippers will somewhat make up for the loss of Paul.

Yeah simation is terrible. It's like its hardcoded for certain teams to do good a.d certain teams to do.bsd. Im not a warriors fsn but they literally got swept by the suns in the first round lol.

Not sure if this question has been asked in the thread, but how do I get Yi JianLian on the Lakers squad? I'm simply unable to find him to sign him. I've started my MyLeague from the offseason hoping to keep mainly the current real world roster with a few tweaks. Any help is appreciated.

Started out 0-3 with my Barons before the patch. I won the next 2 in blowouts. Having my adjustments stick has been huge. I'm going to see how the next one goes, but if it's another blowout I'm going to move up one to Superstar. My squad is the definition of a 'team'. Even point distribution and my boys play for each other lol. Ben Simmons got hurt in the last game, though. He'll be out for two weeks, so we'll have to hold down the fort in the meantime. I mean, I guess it could be 3 months like the Sixers are dealing with. We'll be alright.

Update on my Barons, we beat the Jazz to move to 3-3 but lost my top pick and leading scorer for 6-8 weeks to a high ankle sprain. Good thing I signed Iggy afterall.

Next game we beat the Hornets by about 15 in a game that had me questioning if I accidentally lowered the difficulty level. I didn't, they are just bad.

Anyway in the game before that Reddick also went down with a high ankle sprain. Noel was banged up with a deep thigh bruise for the first 3 games, and in 3 of the games I played the AI suffered a key injury (Davis on the Pelicans, George on the Pacers, Rus on the Thunder) so I think I am going to bring the injury slider down a few notches.

Decided to sims until my rookie's return. He recovered rather quickly. He is back while JJ is still out for 2 weeks. Good thing to, the squad has fallen to 5-18 in his absence.

He isn't. Not if you start from the offseason, which is what I want to do. Remember he's the last player the Lakers signed recently.

Just had a really cool moment in my Rockets franchise. I was trailing by I want to say 5 or 6 something like that and I hopped in via simcast. Harden nailed a 3 to tie bring us within 3 then would later miss a 3 to tie it up and we fouled with 4.7 left and no time outs. C.J. McCollum some how managed to miss 2 free throws that would have almost undoubtedly sealed the game rebound to Capela outlet pass to Beverley pulls up for a ~27 foot 3 pointer and nails it as time expires to send us into overtime.

In overtime is where the fun was though and where history was made. Harden managed to score 18 points along with 2 rebounds and 2 assists to set the NBA record for the most points in an overtime period. He went 5-7 2-4 from 3 and 6-6 from the line.

Anyways was just a really cool moment that I realized when I was looking at the box scores. But anyways I may be restarting my franchise with the opening day roster to get the most up to date roster. We are currently 17-1 though and are on 13 game winning streak. Next game is our first game up against the Warriors though.

It's possible he shows up at the start of the new season in the free agent pool after your progress past the offseason. I remember looking for Dario Saric for the 76ers and he wasn't on their offseason roster, but he showed up in the free agent pool at the beginning of the season.

He might have been there the whole time, I didn't think to check, but it's a thought. *shrug*
