I basically created these guys the same way I always do, but for whatever reasons their overall is far higher than what it has been in the past. Usually Austin is the best with a 81, while second is typically a 79. Not sure what has changed.

What did you set their Intangibles too? That has a very large effect on overall.

If you win the chip, does a championship tag get added to the jersey?

Also, does anyone acquire the 'Championship DNA' badge?

Yeah that could be it. I had it mostly mid to low 80s. Dropped it down to low 70s and it lowered the overalls a good bit. Still higher than usual. For the SG in particular he seems to grade better now. He used to come in at a 76, but now he is an 81. I think it must be due to speed with the ball and how it calculates into the overall; I gave him a 98 there.

So I'm going to start a myleague and use an expansion team in Baltimore. It is one of the basketball capitols of the world so its only right we get a team.

However I'm somewhat torn on what to do out west. I need another expansion team for symmetry. The obvious choice is the Seattle Supersonics. But I also want to rebrand/relocate the Clippers in order to free up the name for my Baltimore team. Last year I just relocated them to Baltimore. I could do that this year, but:
1. I don't like their roster. Just not a fan of most players.
2. Going the expansion route gives me implemented audio for my Baltimore team. Does anyone know what happens if I rebrand the Barons though?
3. I love the idea of building a team from scratch.

I'd rather not keep the Barons brand, but if changing it causes me to lose audio I may have to. Yet it may also make this a shortlived myleague.

Anyway, I'll be simming year 1 to take control in year 2. I downloaded the 2017 draft class and made a few changes. I lowered most of the top 10 picks and added these guys (some may recognize names from my Madden posts :P)

C Ben Riely -- 7'1". A traditional low post shot blocker kind of guy. Rebounding will need work, but a solid scorer and rim protector. 76 OVR, 94 POT

PF Deon Clark -- 6'10" A low post scorer. Decent interior defender/rebounder but definitely geared towards scoring. Think Karl Malone, but his shot is decent enough that he could develop a good midrange game. 77 ovr, 94 pot

SF Brandon McGee -- 6'6". A scorer in the mold of Kobe/MJ. He doesn't do defense, or really anything other than scoring very well, but damn can he fill up the box score. 82 ovr, 99 pot

SF/PF Davon Austin -- 6'8". The anti-McGee. Not a great scorer but does everything else very good. Lockdown defender, solid rebounder, good passing skills, etc. 84 OVR, 96 pot

SG Kevin Williams -- 6'3". Iverson/Wade reborn. Can beat everyone off the dribble, and he needs to because shooting needs a lot of work. Excellent perimeter defender as well. 83 ovr, 95 pot

And yeah, it is a unbalanced draft class, but I balance it by dropping other prospects and making the next couple of classes weaker than usual.

I should be able to land 1 of those 5, and I'll build my team around them.

If you update the team details screen and hit save, I do not believe you'll hear anything but "the home/away team."

This happens whether you edit details, or download a template that's not one of the pre built ones--it'll override it and the audio is lost.

So I do not believe Using Baltimore Clippers will work w audio.

What is everyone doing with Bosh, I was thinking of editing him so he is low and releasing him (or reducing his salary and leaving him on the heat) I don't see him coming back. Same with KG and Mo Williams

Still debating between the T'Wolves, Celtics and Blazers. Minnesota bc of the athleticism, Towns and Wiggins. I'm digging the Celtics and the depth and young core. I love Lillard and the shooters of Portland. Any suggestions?

I'm letting him stay in the game. What's happening to Bosh is a travesty and, if I can't see him play any more IRL, you better believe I'm gonna let his 2K-self continue playing on as long as possible. It just feels wrong otherwise.

I didn't have it happen quite to that extent, but I did have my main logo drop off randomly. I ended up having to go back and resave my template -- I merely went in there, changed one minor thing, saved, then went back and changed the minor thing back. That reset it (I guess?) and I was able to get my full template, missing logo included.

I've also heard that happens with a bad MyLeague file, too, so you may want to try to start another one and see if it works there. Maybe download the template and then relocate the team.

Celtics are crazy set up to be players for the next 3 years, minimal. The Brown pick plus the ability to swap with the Nets this year really sets them up long term and with Horford in the fold, they'll be fun to play with. If you're looking to get a team to the Finals and win a title in 3 seasons or less (and build a potential dynasty, just rolling titles out every few years), they're the picks.

If you want to try to raise a moribund franchise up from its knees and give it something to believe in again, both Portland and Minnesota fit the mold. Minnie has, what could be, the superDUPERstar of his generation in KAT. The kid could revolutionize the Center/PF position like LeBron did with the SF.

If you're looking to reverse years of bad luck, misfortune, and general badness, the Blazers are you. Lillard is electric to play with and him, plus McCollumn, are absolute snipers. Portland also has some very nice retro unis and has a pretty clean cap sheet moving forward; things will get tight as you go along, but there's room to maneuver next summer.

Both Portland and Minnie play in the West, so you better be ready to fight it out for playoff spots. If you run into the Warriors, you'll be cooked early; it'll take awhile (or playoff luck) to get to the Finals with either team in the next few seasons. Portland has a better shot right now, but I feel it'll even out in 2-3 years.

Usually you can unapprove the rule but I'm assuming you advanced already and probably can't go back , I think you might have to start over. Just monitor the league meetings in the offseason and you should be fine.

So with the news of Miami saying Chris Bosh's Heat career is over I think I'm going to start a "What If" series with the Cavs and sign Bosh. Hopefully make it to the finals and duke it out with the Warriors.....Super Team vs Super Team

Is there a way to get a mix of current NBA and classic NBA teams into a MyLeague and do a fantasy draft. I know you can setup a custom league and select drat Current & Historical teams but I only wish to use about 5 classic teams with the rest being current NBA teams.

The way I did it was putting the legends I wanted on the Euroleague teams. You can trade their best players if you don't want a few of the Euro players to get drafted otherwise the lower rated players will be left in free agency anyway. Then in MyLeague select Current & Euroleague teams.

I love the Celtics. I feel like theyre primed to be the leagues next blue coller, grind it out team. Id go with them.
