So decided to do a ML with the Wolves for a change plus I really like KAT. Won the first game against Memphis. But second game against the Kings, Wiggins tears his MCL and is out for 6-8 months so the full season. Then in the 4th KAT sprains his knee while taking a jump shot. 3rd game we lost to the Grizzlies 114-112 with basically a secondary lineup with not legit players. Shall be a fun season ahead. Oh and I traded Pekovic and Rubio prior to the first game of the season.

If you play 10 minute quarters do you receive the same amount of vc for playing 5 minute quarters? I remember you used to receive more vc for longer games, but did they change that?Comment

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
Pretty sure you still earn more for longer quarters. Also I think difficulty factors in as well. So 12 minute quarters on HOF will give you the most VC which I think its around 900 per game.Comment

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
I just ended my first season with the Kings. We were doing so damn terrible it wasnt even fun anymore so after All Star Weekend I just simmed to the offseason. We got the first overall pick via top 10 protection on our pick the Bulls owned. I was able to swing our first pick into some depth at Point Guard. Traded down from 1 to 4 with the Heat in exchange for Goran Dragic. Miami took Markelle Fults (PG) 1st. Celtics took Harry Giles (PF) 2nd. Denver took Dennis Smith (PG) 3rd. And I chose Lonzo Ball (PG) 4th. The trade down move worked perfect since we were banking on Ball all season. After an off season of un-screwing up Vlade Divac and Vivek Ranadive's screw ups from the previous offseason now my players are happy, the team is fun to play with and we can finally start building a real team.

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
Hey, I recently deleted 2K17 & re-installed to avoid the recent patches (I'll eventually update if the next patch fixes the problems with the latest one) but using the same method you did with Tim Duncan gave me access to Kobe Bryant. I suppose 2K excluded him with the day one patch but it feels good to be able to play with 24 Kobe!! He had a nice 60 point farewell game to end his career but I might run a season as if he never retired.Comment

**2K17 - How's your MyLeague going?**
I started a MyLeague where I downloaded six expansion teams from the start: Seattle Sonics, Seattle Sparrows, Las Vegas Aces, Kentucky Cavalry (my team), New Orleans Pirates, and the Cincinnati Royals. I simulated the 2016-17 season and this is how all six of them did.
Seattle Sonics (47-35) 6th seed
Seattle Sparrows (46-36) 7th seed
New Orleans Pirates (39-43)
Las Vegas Aces (28-54)
Cincinnati Royals (28-54)
Kentucky Cavalry (20-62)
In the draft, we picked up Jayson Tatum with the 2nd pick and Lonzo Ball with the 33rd pick. In free agency, we picked up Victor Oladipo (2 years, $45.71m), Nerlens Noel (4 years, $84.97m), Doug McDermott (2 years, 6.75m) and Michael Beasley ( 1 year, $2.45m).
15 games into the 2017-18 season, we are 4-11 and this is our lineup:
PG - Tyus Jones
SG - Victor Oladipo
SF - Jayson Tatum
PF - Michael Beasley
C - Nerlens Noel
6 - Doug McDermott
7 - Tyler Ulis
8 - Mike Muscala

Thanks. The goal was to draft all the young high potential guys and a few old vets in the expansion draft and build up the roster with younger guys. I think after a couple seasons, my team could be contenders.Comment

Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
So for this year I had the goal of playing one MyGM where I played at least 20 seasons between now and 2k18, and I play every game. Never skipping a game in the season. Usually, I play by player locking a single player on the team so when that person isn't in, it skips that part of the game, and I can also see how my team's chemistry is (as computer).
So, I started up a MyGM and set out to achieve my goal. I started it after the Cavs won the finals, and chose the Lakers. I chose to draft Brandon Ingram just like they did, but I had the first pick.
With free agency rapidly approaching, I ensured I kept all my young core players. Then I went after a few particular pieces I had my eye on. Here's some stand outs.
Dwight Howard - C - 3 Year, 97 Mil
Georgios papagiannis - C - 1 Year - 5.1 Mil (not sure why he was in FA)
Skal Labissiere - C (PF) - 3 years, 3.7 Mil.
Jakob poetl - C - 1 year, 2.2 Mil
Roy Hibbert- C - 1 year, 1.5 Mil deal
Ramon Sessions - PG, 980k deal
Jonathan Simmons - SF (SG) - 1 year - 875k
My starting five heading into the season was :
PG: DLoading
SG: Jordan Clarkson
SF: Brandon Ingram
PF: Julius Randle
C: Dwight Howard (my player lock player)
And my bench looked like this:
Skal Labissiere (Backup PF #3)
Jakob Poetl (Backup C #1)
Georgios (Backup C #2)
Jonathan Simmons (Backup SG)
Nick Young (Backup SF)
Roy Hibbert (Trade block)
Brandon Bass (Backup PF #2)
Larry Nance Jr (Backup PF #1)
Louis Williams (Backup PG)
So, everyone was playing except for Roy Hibbert as i was trying to get long term prospects minutes. My goal here is to find the Lakers their "Big man of the future" whether that be Howard, Skal, Georgios, or Sabonios (I'll explain below)
Going back to the offseason, I fired the tank commander and picked up Steve Kerr, and also hired Tim Duncan to assist him. Just a side note.
Okay. So now. Fast forward, as I am new here and have been playing this MyGM since the game released. Our team is 31-29 (I play on superstar with some sliders i found here) we're on a 3 game losing streak, most recently to the sonics. We are 8th in the west, here's the playoff picture.
1.) Nuggets
2.) Warriors
3.) Grizzlies (w/Lebron)
4.) Clippers
5.) Suns
6.) Trailblazers
7.) Thunder
8.) Lakers
The 9th seed is only a game and a half back, so we need to be careful.
Now, my roster is a lot different. Let me highlight the trades & pickups throughout the season for you guys and post our new lineup.
Brandon Bass (PF) was first to be traded for Iman Shumpert. (SG)
Then, Larry Nance Jr(PF), Jordan clarkson(SG), and some picks were exchanged for Khris Middleton,(Sg) a first rounder for this year, & Tyler Ennis (PG)
Later, a three team deal was reached between the Knicks, Cavs, and Lakers.
Lakers received: JR Smith, Ben Mclemore, 17 warriors 1st round pick,
Lakers gave up: Ramon Sessions(Cavs), Nick Young(NY), Roy Hibbert (NY)
Lakers also traded Louis Williams(SG) for the 1st round pick from the thunder in the year 2017.
Lakers traded Jonathan simmons (SF/SG) to the bucks for the 2020 1st round Lakers pick they had, and a 2018 2nd rounder.
Then I got hit with the owner goal of getting some lottery picks, so..
Lakers traded JR Smith (SG) & Tyler Ennis (PG) to the Pelicans for Quincy Pondexter(SF), '17 First rounder, Alexis Ajinca (C)
And finally,
Lakers trade '17 first round (thunder), '17 first round (pelicans), Jakob poetl (c) to the Celtics, for : 18 1st Round (Nets), 17 1st round (swap worst), (nets) Domanats Sabonis (C), Jordan Mickey (PF)
I obviously went trade crazy. I'll be the first to admit that. But I hate the Lakers IRL bench, and I wanted to achieve an eventual pick dump while also gaining talent, which i think I did. Now the goal is to slowly phase out the lesser talented players and replace them with free agents/draftees next year. The trade deadline has passed, and I wouldn't trade anyone now anyway.
Next year I'm limiting myself to 3 max, to prevent this.
The new lineup looks something like:
PG: Dloading
Sg: Khris Middleton
SF: Brandon Ingram
Pf: Julius Randle
C:;Dwight Howard
BENCH
Quincy Pondexter (SF)
Georgios Papagiannis (C)
Alexis Ajincia (C#2)
Ben Mclemore (Sg)
Domanats Sabonis (C)
Skal Labissiere (PF)
Jordan Mickey (PF)
Iman Shumpert (SG)
M.Barnes (Res)
Barnes i acquired in FA, he's the only one not getting minutes. Skal seems to be a long term project. I do have an abundance of centers, so I'll need to phase some out this offseason. With everyone else so young, Ajinca tops the list of first to go, I would say Howard, but he's most developed.
My untouchables:
PG: DLoading
SF: Brandon Ingram
C: Dwight Howard
PF: Skal Labissiere
C: Georgios Papagiannis
A few things I'm targeting this off season:
2017 Det 1st round (Record: 24-36)
Georgios Papagiannis (Resign)
Willie Caulie Stein
Andre Iguadola(for some more veterans on the roster. Not set on him yet, but he could replace Pondexter.)
Next game is against the Jazz, away game, and Shumpert is hurt. He was on fire before he got hurt. The last 10 games we're 3-7 so we really need this W. Especially because it's a back to back, and we have the Warriors at our house right after.
Here's hoping we make the playoffs, because while my focus now is 100% building through the draft/free agency and no more trades than a few next season, I'd like to see what this year's team can do. Doubt it's a championship team, but you never know.
Anything can happen in the NBA. I'll post again soon, after I've played again.

Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
What kind of standings/playoff results has everyone been seeing 1,2,3+ seasons in? Everything has seen kind of...off to me. The final confirmation was my 4th season into an expansion franchise I not only made my first playoffs, I was the #1 seed and won the whole thing. I played a couple games in the season (won some, lost some), but simmed just about everything. I also simmed all but 2 playoff games, included the entire conference and NBA finals. My best player was 81 OVR Taurean Prince, and the finals MVP was rookie Lonzo Ball.
I should do a test where I leave all 30 teams on auto and sim ahead 3 seasons, charting results. Of course this should be repeated a few times, but so far things have seemed kind of nonsensical in a bad way.Comment
