OK here we go. I put my freaking sliders down on offense for both me and the AI and for some strange reason the percentage is still high for the AI. Here is my settings for both me and the AI. In 2k16 the scores would be in the low 40's and the percentage would be around the 30's. But in 2k17 the AI is always HIGH percentage. This game feels so broken and automatic for the AI its so disappointing. With these sliders I'm the only one who cant score. How can I get low scoring in this game?????? I'm starting to hate this game I swear.....

I find that the steal button in this years version especially for perimeter players is you friend. I'm admittantly playing as the celtics who have some of hte best perimeter defenders around but Curry is hard to stop regardless? I haven't played golden state yet. I've played utah, the knicks, dallas, atlanta, indiana, sac and a few others though. Some games I get beat. It happens. Teams get hot and are hard to slow down. The more I play I'm learning how to defend though. I'm not seeing guys get wide open shots because im harassing them and pacing the game so they can't do that. just doing play now and choosing teams close to mine in the 5-15 range. I haven't gone against the best teams yet but they are probably difficult. I win and lose against the teams in my range which seems pretty realistic. The more I get used to playing certain teams and scout them I know who to watch too. Melo for example he's going to shoot it and you have to know his shots and where he's going to be. Watch Porzingis too. He's a headache. I'm not saying the game is perfect and can't improve either or people aren't having these issues. I just hope it's done right. I'm playing on allstar right now and defense is a bit loose but not really. It fluctuates throughout the game.

Honestly though some defenders aren't going to be able to stop Curry regardless. Who do you have guarding him? I have a feeling Marcus gets up on him and he will do alright but Curry is going to hit shots.

Bill Russell said it best imo. Wilt Chamberlain is going to score. It took him years to learn how to play him to slow him down enough to win. Players are going to score.

I'm not saying all of you are wrong either. It's all good and makes the game better. I just hope it's done right. I'm loving this game.

Isaiah Thomas gets caught in mismatches and I have to help him sometimes and be aware it's Isaiah Thomas and make sure I'm defending elsewhere. That's where Crowder making plays elsewhere matters.

The celtics are honestly being built to beat teams like golden state. They are a balanced team with a big man and a scorer in isaiah and big physical wings who can shoot too but can defend and are a mix where they are long and short and quick and athletic and mean and cause a lot of problems.

I think it's realistic too. I dont even get a ton of steals with Marcus. It ends up being realistic but the stuff he causes in this game is very realistic because he causes havoc. I have marcus I hit steal and just get in the way and he does all sorts of stuff. they have his movements down pat just how he moves. He does all his trademark stuff too. The AI is crazy that way.

When i first started playing the game it seemed out of whack. He was getting beat and so was bradley on screens and I was like that's not how marcus and bradley play but something happened. I don't know exactly what I'm doing but just I'm not seeing that anymore. I'm hitting the steal button and timing it at certain times and getting the offense all otu of whack instead and more playing my game vs the other way around. I'm pacing the game differently too where the cpu reacts to that. They will beat me in other ways but not so much like that.

When I first started playing I was getting blown out and teams would get hot and just not miss. They do that. I'm not seeing that so much anymore.

When teams get control of the pace it's bad. It's like real basketball that way. You actually have to control the pace not them.

Last game for example I was pacing the game but they took it back in the 4th quarter and really started clamping down. Other games I've controlled the pace throughout. Other times they've had a lead where I've had to claw back and its been like a chess match.

The past few I've just been pacing the game but the cpu does try to recontrol the pace. That happens in the real nba. They don't just roll over. Sometimes they do. I don't know how to explain what I'm doing.

But if you lose the pace and just give in it's not going to be good. It also depends whether you are home or away. I don't know if the officials adjust to that. I havent seen that but would be cool, but its harder to win on the road I'm pretty sure. I'm just playing as the celtics too and have gotten used to all their moves at this point. If i were to try another team id probably lose.

After getting a lot of games in....can we finally agree that we are basically playing the beta version of this game?

Sure, there are a lot of improvements, gameplay wise, the dribble and shot mechanics are off the chain.

but for every step foward, there are like 3 or 4 step backwards. the help defense is silly, the AI still do a lot of stupid things(The AI players stopping at the 3 point line when we're running a fast break)
The crowd.. no need to say more.

MyCareer is cool but the whole storyline is poorly designed (Justice Young is a top rookie in MyCareer yet he's in the trade rumours? HOW ?? WHEN DID IT HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE? Dude is a top candidate for being the rookie of the year....it doesnt make any sense)
The players archetypes is a good idea but unfortunately it's poorly done as well, we are basically glorified role players. You cant even be a solid 2 way player in most of the cases without buying boosts, thus earn (buy) VC
I wont even get into the whole buy vc or get left behind thing, they have going on.

MyPark is terrible, full of cheesers and the delay input lag is a pain to deal with ( i have a good internet connection btw)

Just waiting for the 1st big patch... but as of now, i'm dissapointed.

I just started up a game. Was thinking of trying a different team or an old celtics team but doing celtics vs golden state. First play i breathed on Curry and was called for a foul so we will see how this goes. In Golden State. I don't have an issue with that surprisingly. At the other end Durant gets a wide open look and misses and the commentator says the defense got lucky there he doesnt miss many of those. I agree. We will see how this game goes.

2-2 at the start. Bradley shoots a 3 over Klay Thompson who is taller than him even though bradley has space. This is the amazing physics of the game though. Because Klay is taller Bradley actually shoots the ball higher to get it over him and misses long on a high arcing 3. That's how crazy the physics are in this game.

7-2 celtics early. GS has missed their first 3 shots. Bradley just knocked down a 3. Both teams getting good looks. Celtics are hitting. GS is not.

On the 3 hit by bradley the commentator notates that that was not an easy shot and he had to get it off against a much taller defender.

Interesting because i totally noticed that and took that into account the second time.

Crowder with the steal brings it and finds bradley trailing for another 3. 10-2 celtics. Go Celtics!!

Pretty slow paced so far. I have a feeling GS is going to heat up. Durant just hit a layup. 10-4 celtics.

Nope celtics are on fire. Isaiah for 3. Cury tries to drive and is rejected by horford twice. Oh my.

Bombs away from Klay. But celtics beat them back down the other end. Isaiah finds Horford on a beautiful and 1 beating his man down the floor.

18-7 celtics. GS calls a time out. just feeling my way through so far. It's not going to be like this though. Easy buckets and i'm hitting so far. Not much defense being played.

Coach to my players great job guys we are playing like we want it m ore than them. GS comes out of the time out with a drawn up play and gets an easy layup.

What's amazing to me is the pace of the game is very slow right now. I can't speed it up either. It's just slow and I can't play how i was last game where i came out just running against dallas in boston. I'm just playing that way trying to find my shots because it's on their floor and it's just paced that way right now.

KO for 3 moving it around as the shot clock was winding down. 21-9 celtics. I am on fire with the 3 this game. I've not seen this before.

DAvid West posts up KO on a fadeaway where he just muscled him. 21-11.

This game is amazing. I'll stop though and go play. This game is very interesting though. The last two games I came out just running. If you play one style you are doomed. This game is totally different so far.

It's in Golden state and the crowd is dead quiet. Something is going to happen. I'm being lulled into their grip or something. Calm before the storm.

Someone was sayign teams play way better in the 3rd and 4th. Yeah Golden state does that. They lull you and then kill you.

I was playing Dallas and it was like a track meet like they play when I've seen the celtics play them just crazy running back and forth. That's how their game went last year when they played them too. They played the mavs early in the year and it was a track meet the celtics lost a close game just like i did.

Fans are booing in golden state after the 1st quarter. 21-11 celtics.

Golden state basically comes out the 2nd holding the ball on offense. I cant even get a shot off and jerebko takes an off balance 3 the pace is so slow right now.

Suddenly gs speeds it up and gets 2 baskets. 21-15.

No more of that. I'm just to just push it and out physical them and give it to Brown and just muscle them with him and dunk it in their face. And the foul.

Curry brings it up and Durant is camping underneath and does the same thing and 1 foul on Brown. 24-18 celtics.

Crowder right back. Isaiah finds him and he curls to the hoop for the slam. It's getting physical out there.

I'm doing this purposely too. If I'm going to beat them its going to be physical and with me pushing it.

Curry hits a nice little shot from the side of the basket over isaiah. Positioned himself there and just hit the shot over them.

I tried to muscle it to the hoop again with Brown against Durant couldnt get entirely to the basket. ended up taking a similar shot over a taller defender that curry took and missed. 26-20. celtics.

I'm not really able to get anything going right now because of the pace and am having to muscle it.

Durant comes back and hits a 3 over brown. 26-23 celtics.

Curry and Bradley trade jump shots. 28-25. Bradley in the corner but tries to drive against Klay and gets stripped. West gets fouled on the drive at the other end but misses.

The pace gs is playing is definately them. We are going back and forth at this point. Durant just went nuts and then crowder. It's a game of matchups this game and GS is definately playing a controlled pace where I have to beat them in matchups. Crowder had a nice steal and Horford a big dunk.

I have a feeling the game is going to go crazy at some point. 32-31 celtics at the half with me pausing after every possession lol. I need to up the pace though and just go play. I'm shooting about 50 percent and they are shooting 60 percent.

Totally different than the last game I played though. I'll let you know how it ends up.

Isaiah has been very quiet so far have to get him going and do with a miss 3 by klay and huge block by horford on curry on teh rebound to start the 2nd half. Outlet to isaiah and go straight to the hoop even though im unable to get there and get fouled.

GS runs a crazy picket fence type screen at the top with cury and durant as he swings around and gets open for the 3. I saw it happening. Couldnt get there fast enough and he knocks it down.

All tied up. Thing is i had klay and got to him in time and he missed. Didnt get there with Durant because im here typing after each play lol and a little difficult.

Tried driving with Isaiah but unable to. Give it to crowder and he's able to get a little closer. Finds horford underneath who has some room misses the contested layup gets the rebound and a beautiful dunk on the put back and work inside.

Durant had 2 crazy plays in there were he just beat crowder and isaiah works the give and go with horford. This game is very back and forth and matchup feeling so far.

CEltics still by 2. I need to do a better job watching on d though and hard to do this way. Durant keeps getting free and I feel like i can slow him down if i werent doing this.

Bradley fouled shooting a 3. Need to watch Durant.

This game feels more scripted but its how gs plays. They are running crazy plays and are hard to stop. It doesnt feel scripted to me like its cheating. If i contest their shots they miss. It's not like past years where they just bomb away and nothing i can do.

I'm still leading getting close to 4 minutes left 3rd quarter. playing 6 minute quarters allstar. Bradley at the line with 3 fts.

Hits all 3. I'm then able to get back and bother the 3 point shot this time. No foul called and Bradley is able to get out on teh break and behind the defense after bothering the shot. I have a bad shot but take it anyways and it goes in. 6 point swing by Avery Bradley.

GS makes a run. I dont feel like i was cheesed though. I had opportunities to make a few steals and not playing too good or focused. GS by 1 and celtics call a timeout.

Coach tells me to play more disciplined which is totally correct i was not oding that. says run the pick and roll. I do and smart gets a layup but misses. sloppy foul at the other end. run the pick and roll again and get a good switch on ko where he has livingston on him and livingston fouls him.

Dunk by horford on the pick and roll and a 3 by GS and a lot of other stuff and crazy defense and missed bad shots. 50-47 at the end of 3 GS leading.


Ended up losing by 6. Curry hit one big rainbow 3 in the 4th. I didn't feel overly cheesed though. Durant pushes off to get past his defender but he does that in real life. I was bothering shots and they wouldnt go in when i did that. Bradley was hurt which really screwed me up. I subbed him out during a time out for smart but it didnt sub and screwed me up. He came out the next time out for smart. He couldnt run and i was about to get in it and had the ball in a crucial play as well and couldnt run down the court. It was golden state. Ah well.

They missed several 3's in the 4th quarter and i felt like i had to a chance to get in it. I think that one rainbow 3 by curry was the only one they hit.

It was more bradley being hurt that killed me. He missed several opportunities because he couldnt run and i couldnt get him out of there. I brought smart in and he got right to the hoop but it was too late.

In this game all i noticed that was cheese was durant pushing off on crowder to get by him but he does that in real life.

Teh game felt somewhat scripted because of the pace and everything compared to other games i've played but it was golden state. They do that. Isaiah got hot in the 4th. I was trying to burn them inside but bradley was annoying. He got off to such a good start too and had some huge plays but got hurt.

I'll gameplan better for them next time.

Somebody posted something earlier said they did a test with on ball defense dropping the CPU to slider to zero and it had no effect on the CPU's defense. I can't comment on that because I haven't tried it. I have found the AI to sometimes have more high scoring games % sometimes they are off but they are more likely to be on than off. I have been playing on HOF Sim since Beluba dropped the new sliders. What level are you playing on?

I have been noticing that the CPU is playing above their level on shooting % too. Noticeable for the average shooters hard to tell on the really good shooters. I chalked it up to being a HOF thing I can't put my finger on it. If I had to guess something with the consistency they are a little too consistent on offense.

I had to respect Aaron Gordon's 3pt shot as well as Serge's or they would make them in multiple back to back games. Their ratings are not that high for threes. The way to really test is to always test the open shot success.

GS shot 55 percent that game. I shot 50 percent btw. They were 6/18 from 3. 33 percent. I shot 31 percent from 3. 4/13. we both had 14 free throws a piece. I don't know. I just played the knicks and they shot 37 percent against me and i shot around 44 percent. GS are good shooters. It seems pretty close. Curry shot 50 percent and he shoots that in real life. Durant is the guy who killed me. Everyone else was around their percentages. Durant was 10 for 15 because he was pushing off on Crowder all game like i was saying and getting layups. I give someone that many layups he's going to shoot that percentage. He wasn't shooting that well. They were all layups is why he shot that.

GS as a team shoots around 50 percent anyways. They shot 55 percent because of Durant. That was on Allstar difficulty. I'm sure the other difficulties are harder at first.

I slow down Durant that game and Bradley doesnt get hurt i win that game and percentages are more in my favor. They won. It felt fair to me. This is only the 10th game I've played or so of this years game.

I feel like if you bother shots they dont go in realistically. They also miss open shots. It's the opposite of past years where players just bomb away and you cant stop them. Bradley was hot this game for me and that killed it.

I did not play overly well either because I was pausing each possession.

Both teams had between 30-35 points in the paint. The end score was 71 to 65 so totally different from last game. They shot 18 3's in 6 minute quarters so pretty realistic.

The sliders don't seem to work at all.

There's a lot of good things about this game, but so many things have taken a step back from 2K16. So many things have been taken away. Why?

I've noticed in myCareer that on all-star or above the CPU will drain 3's at a insane rate that leaves me speechless... but I'm not talking about with Curry or Klay.. I'm talking about with guys like Patrick Beverly, Michael Carter-Williams, guys that shouldn't be hitting 5 threes in a row.... but... they do

I'm just loving this game. Last night I was playing at OKC in my Wolves MyLeague.

I was up 24 points mid way through the 3rd. It was to the point where I was thinking everything about the game is playing well, but I need to tweak my shooting down a bit and CPU's up a bit for more of a challenge.

Welp, then OKC went on a 30-10 run to cut the lead down to 4. I eventually pulled it out in a 9 point victory, but man that game was a blast. It wasn't the normal scripted video game comeback either. It was dumb mistakes by me and Westbrook and of all people Roberson hitting threes.

I also got to see the amazing adjustments by CPU. I was killing the CPU in pick n roll with Rubio/Dunn and Towns. Then they adjusted to sagging off with the roll man leaving Rubio and Dunn for a decent look. But of course, neither have great jumpshots so I started missing some shots there.

The post game is so legit now. I love that if the defender is leaning on the offensive player. He does a spin move baseline Leave him in a dust.

Lance Thomas is way too slow...

Brandon Jennings and Justin Holiday are way too thin, skinny player models in this game are awful...

Kuzminskas and Hernangomez were obviously not scanned...

Rose shouldn't be dunking, he's still uber athletic in the game his speed is fine but he literally attempted and completed one dunk last year c'mon now...

Porzingis warrants more than a D+ from three point range c'mon now, he's also a lot more fluid and athletic...

The Knicks blue is better but still not on point and the uniform color doesn't even match the paint at Madison Square Garden.

How are the Sacramento Kings ranked as the 6th overall team in the game?

The advanced rotation screen has got to be one of my favorite additions. With the time out subs being busted I decided to try setting up advanced rotations and use auto subs. I don't think I can go back to manual. I don't spend half my time in a sub menu and can just enjoy the game now. It's beautiful.

Every single game has high percentage scoring for the AI. Also the game never ends with low scoring under 30 points. And I have the offensive settings to a LOW 30's......This game is broken. Completely BROKEN!!!!! The AI in this game is messed up so bad. Along with the comeback cheese. Why in the hell are my players all over the place leaving players open. Last year was so much more organized. I'm lost for words right now on how cheap this game feels. Btw I'm playing with the open box warriors (me) vs the cavs, I always test the game with the top two teams.....This also happens because sometimes 2k focuses on a certain area of the game like "my player" or whatever other garbage modes they have.


The inside shots for the AI makes me sick. Let me not get banned


HAS anyone had their games ending with points in the high 30's yet??? This is how I test the settings. And so far each game is a free for all...#$%^&
