OMG how cheesy is the AI.

Ok there is 14 sec let in the game, I'm down by 5. I get to the free throw. I hit the perfect timing on the free bar, and I miss. THEY MADE ME MISS!!!! I knew this garbage would happen. I played the perfect game and the computer "COMEBACK CHEESE" took it away....So I go to overtime and all of a sudden jeff Teague starts hitting all these three's....the whole team makes everything. It looked so ugly and fake.

Long story short, I got F'nd 2k GLITCHED!!!! I hate this garbage.....ok I'm done ranting.

Thats exactly my point, i do not have anything in mind to miss occasionally open shoots, and to miss most of the heavily contested shots, but i expect from opponent AI to also miss open shoots and to miss heavily contested shots, anybody can take a test with his 'My Player', and to try score 3pt shots with heavy contested shot(with overall rating for shoot around 70 to 80 if it is a shooter class), it is almost 0% chance to do that, and AI is totally ridiculous with their 70-80 rating but they score like 60% shots in games...

I can only enjoy this game on 3 minute qtrs. Anything longer and you can literally call exactly hat is going to happen. 2ks animation triggering based interactions were revolutionary...10 years ago. Same system with minor tweak 10 years later is OLD TIRED AND BORING.

Playing on 3 mins at least I get a feel of variation and excitement. 48-60 minute of back and fort dunk/three fest is absolutely horrible.

haha I wont dare to say its easy unless I played the way sam did with rondo scoring 100+ points. I'm actually impressed with the way AI attack in pnr situations. in 2k16, AI always use the screen but for 2k17, if I shade from the screener side, the AI attacks the other direction.

Like u said, I'm very disappointed with arts department. Mj and Shaq look horrible, rookie faces not updated, player free throw signatures almost alike for the big men category with little distinction.

The double team issue has been there in 2k all along, including 2k16 too. I think it was toned down in the later patches, and not sure if they do so for 2k17. I realise that if u play a decently good but not all star caliber player, DT wont happen so frequently. eg I'm playing the pacers now and Al Jeffrson is solid in the post with nice post animations too. imptly, he doesnt attract any DT! the post spin drive in 2k17 is op too ....

and my AI teammates are extremely silly in losing their man. not subpar players but even Paul George looks stupid. I want to be able to play onball defense and not to worry my AI teammates losing their man on man2man defense

Been playing cpu lately and notice they dont need as much space as a user to get a shot off.

like if i get off space for a 3 with user timing there always that hitch or w/e i cant explain it. it takes longer to get a shot off.

to confirm i went offline and switched to real fg% and noticed that i could get shots off quicker. its not a big deal but i wish user timing was smoother or had earlier release points.

im guessing real fg% is never coming to online gameplay? similiar to what mlb has with directional hitting?

Waa I wish all my shots would go in and the cpu would miss everything 😢

But for real, I like the game. I play on 12 min quarters and have all star sliders. Game plays fine for me

I'm both a first-time poster here as well as a noob on Xbox One playing NBA 2K. I have a few gripes with My Career...

1) I hate that when you are invited to an even by somebody, it doesn't tell you how long that even will last. Most events are 2 hours, so when somebody invites me to an even that starts 2+ hours before a team practice, I accept because I assume I'll still be able to make practice. Then I see that the event actually lasts 4+ hours so I either have to miss team practice or blow off that event.

2) Why the hell are my teammates inviting me to events that conflict with team practice? This is so incredibly stupid.

3) Cut scenes. The cut scenes are fine, as are the text messages. I do like the narrative feel this game has. I'm just 25ish games into my rookie year. Why, when there are all these cut scenes of me getting my hair cut and listening to voicemails from my Mom, is there not a scene, or even a text, telling me I've been inserted in to the starting lineup? You'd think a major even like that in a rookie's career would get a little more attention.

Anyway, these are just a few things I wanted to gripe about. Overall I'm enjoying the game. I wish Madden had an immersive, narrative-driven career mode like this.

Getting some decent games again now that my game starts without freezing at logos etc..
Playing on All-Star with tweaked sliders for higher speed, less bumpin and grinding and slightly better 3pt%.

Having some really nice battles back and forth and able to dribble drive a bit better than previous, think its the contact sliders etc. Also turned down fouls in paint a lot and its much more realistic, no more auto fouls down low every shot..

All in all I guess I like it after everything. Its not the greatest 2K that I hoped it would be due to the AI/Body bumping/UI etc but maybe next year they get there..
