Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
my cpu teammates playing like middle schoolers on defense, constantly losing their man and giving up wide open shots
cpu scoring 120+/game and many of those are due to my cpu players getting lost and no where close to their man.
defense needs a huge tweak imoComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
This game is everything 16 was and then some extra polish.. The gameplay is great and taking out the 6 dribble animations was a very smart move.. I hope they don't ever go back to that style of control cuz now you can separate the skilled players from the noobs..
Defensively tho I'm making adjustments during the game and they don't seem to be working I turned ACE off and everything.. Also I'm adjusting the sliders anyway but the 3pt shooting out of the box is OD.. I played against the thunder and Oladipo was hitting contested 3s off the pick & roll like he was Reggie Miller.. Sliders should fix that easily tho
Overall This is the greatest sports game ever.. I'll be saying that every year as long as they make each iteration better than the last..Comment

Also when switching defensive players using the icons the circle button causes you to attempt a charge for like a half a second which allows the cpu to blow by you.. I've lost games cuz of thisComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
Im pretty sure its contexual...so you wont run around with uour arms up anymore ...but when a player is coming at you, or you're contesting a shot, or clogging up the lane which its also very useful for...you'll have your arms straight upComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
But I wanna being able to put them straight up when I'm bodying my guy and he's going up for a shot. We were able to do it last year I know.
It's a huge part of playing defense and needs to be put back in.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
Defense is non existent. Impossible to stay in front of your man with how terrible the players slide laterally... its pathetic... people are saying fluid gameplay? NOT EVEN CLOSE to fluid... it's all over the place...no control at all.
Over hyped 2k yet again. Same ole bad game. Thank god fifa comes out next week.

If this doesn't get fixed by a patch from 2k, I might quit the game for good this year, because, honestly, what is the point in playing a game that doesn't at all fulfill its primary goal, i.e. to entertain the player. Ain't nobody got time for that.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
Does it just happen once every so often? I sometimes get an animation where the defender I'm controlling automatically sticks one hand up contesting a shot (that I have no control of).
I literally just played a full game trying this, and I couldn't do it.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
First off, this is easily the best basketball/sports title I've ever played. That's basically all i play, so that says alot. My only question/concern really is , out of all the people who have a 4k/hdr tv, are you underwhelmed by the hdr usage? I'M not saying that the game looks BAD, I guess overall, I'm just surprised that hdr doesn't seem to make much of a difference. I thought the lighting would blow me away, and it's not as "revolutionary" as i expected. Anyone else?

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
Love the game. Haven't played it a whole lot, but here's my 3 gripes so far.
Blurry rims and backboard. Seriously feel like I'm playing 2k in instant replay mode, with depth of field on.
Shot clock is very quite, have had too many violations. This one's not too big a deal, I'll get over it.
Still no way to defend in the post without fouling. I've noticed a lot more fouls this year, and that's a good thing, but I want more control. I can literally put my controller down and my defender will still foul the post player. I have the automatic shot contest off, but I don't know how much that affects things.Comment
