Another thing that bugs me even more is the amount of steals the CPU is getting, resulting in a ridiculous amount of turnovers (anything between 15-20 TOs per 6 min match). I can't tell if it's because of the speed of the passes (not fast enough), which it probably isn't, as they feel faster than in 2k16, or if it is because the CPU players are all demigods with superman-like reflexes. Overall, I gotta say, despite all the praise the game is getting, I feel very disappointed about it.

I still don't like MyCareer's balance. The CPU is, as it is every year, overpowered. They go down by a few baskets, and all of a sudden, become the 80's Lakers. Also, every CPU defender, is a lockdown defender. It literally makes no sense. The CPU animations are smooth and fluid, while I get stuck in animations. it's never a fair deal. It just makes playing MyCareer cheesy to me. I play on All-Star, and yes I do well regardless, but it doesn't seem worth the time when it's always one-sided, or I have to score all the time.

CPU players can do everything well. I pass to my teammates and they take stupid shots, leave people open, make boneheaded passes...etc. I'll go as far as I can tolerate then I'm done with MyCareer for good.

I like all the additions to stats and retired jerseys and the expansion team draft is absolutely amazing. Loving it a lot so far. I only play this game for MyGM so to have a lot of different options is amazing to me. My question here is why is it that the Assistant coaches always are giving the team talks during time outs and before games start. It really irks me because it kills the immersion I get. The other big thing that is bugging me is defending cause I feel like I slip and slide all over the place. Lots of 3 pointers are going in from the CPU contested and uncontested usually cause the CPU in my game leave their marks, but the game is pretty enjoyable besides these things.

The one thing I think needs to be fixed asap is the defending for Human Vs A.I. It causes me to leave the game because I almost feel like Im getting cheated. Has anyone come across these kind of things? I do really like the game so far and Im on PC.

I have only one problem with the game so far, there isn't any count down for the buzzer on the 24 clock or the game clock.

                  Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread

I am finding the game lovely, enjoying a hell out of it. I have found some issues though:

                  - Post fadeaways on the high post or out of the paint have a bug, they are triggering penalisations if you execute them with the Stick, but how can you penalise a shot that, by definition, forces you to aim the stick in a different direction with respect to the Center (up or down)?

                  - Online many people is abusing the the ultra quick guys (like Westbrook) to run to the baseline and once there it is too difficult to stop, they are coming turboing from the half court like there was no tomorrow, eventually they run out of gas, but it is cheese...

                  - Defense of the cuts to the basket has to improve, my players awareness is ridiculous most of the time. it's still an easy and exploitable way to get points in a consistent basis, I don't know if there is a way to counter it TBH...

                  Cheers! ;-)

I was thinking this same thing as well

On SS Westbrook was 2/8 in first for 4 points. He didn't have a single free throw attempt and only one assist.

On HOF, in the first quarter, he was 4/10 for 10 points.

Next game I played against Denver and I couldnt score with IND, so that worried me. But both teams had way more FT than they did on SS which was really nice. I think HOF is the way to go, just gonna have to practice my stick skills a little.

This is a pretty crippling issue. I have everything set to manual and ACE turned off.

                      PS4

All the defensive adjustments keep defaulting to

                      Some Crash, Some Run

                      Neutral Def

                      Auto.

Obviously there is a bugs thread but this seems like a big enough issue.

Yes, my primary complaints have to do with this and things related to it. I don't know why from the pause screen I can't set any of that anymore and I can't sub in a whole bench unit from the substitution screen either.

It's possible I just don't know what I'm doing yet, but the coach options and how they are executed seem to be a significant step backward.

Also, can the ai shoot a shot in the paint without it being a foul?

I'm enjoying the game so far. The animation transitions seem to be pretty smooth and it feels better playing off ball this year.

                          Pros:

-Contact feels really nice when it happens, especially off ball
                          -game feels a little smoother
                          - i love that good three point shooters can pull up further back now (or at least they seem like they can. I know curry can. He was unstoppable in the first half of my game vs him. Luckily, not as accurate second half)
-rebounding looks a little nicer thanks to the better contact system

                          cons:
                          - contact is still occasionally kind of hard to trigger. I keep having computers backdoor cut against me and i can't always trigger the contact to slow them down a bit. Thus they get too good of a position sometimes. I believe it is LT + stand in their way according to the user guide.
-occasionally, i'd get stuck in an animation for contact that drags my perimeter players into the paint leaving opponents wide open from three
                          - I feel like if i'm on offense, i still can't box out properly because computers will always magically slide beneath my player for better position 90 percent of the time. Was always a problem in previous games too.
                          - can't tell if its cause myplayer has such horrendous stats, but defense on the perimeter is tough in mycareer mode.

I dont know if its just me but the gameplay in myteam is terrible.

Im only in the bronze tier so idk if maybe that has something to do with it? Like is the difficulty set on rookie or something because it seems like every shot my opponent takes he makes. 3 pointers seem to be automatic every time even with some centers! And the defense is non existent even when i manually set my defensive settings.

Theres 0 strategy involved its basically who can make the most shots. Can someone please tell me if they are experiencing this horrible gameplay in myteam as well??

I like a lot the fact that I can compete on Play Online without the need of scoring most of the points in the paint as last year. This game has definitely a better balance even though it is still too cheap to score lead passing to the paint, even great defenders and rim protectors lost the position quite easily in those 'cuts'...

Subs during a Timeout are not executed until the next break...

The more I play, the more I am getting in Love with 2k17. ;-)
