This is the first 2K game in years I haven't gotten into because of the poor gameplay I'm strictly an offline player, I try to play one full season every year and I've successfully completed that for the past few years with the Knicks. I was one who thought they needed to make the gameplay harder because I got to the eastern conference finals with the Knicks the last two years on legend difficulty and wasn't really seeing the challenge I was looking for. Then 2k17 came out and that all changed. The problem is, it changed for the worse. Instead of the computer AI getting better, it got cheesier. Instead of being challenged, I was sucked into suction screens and molasses recoveries. The gameplay went backwards and unfortunately I simply don't see it recovering because (1) they're now more interested in making money off gimmicks and not in gameplay improvements, and (2) Beluba (Mike Wang) literally ignores every sim request and instead focuses on jump shot success in the park when the real issue is animations. I hate to say this but this will probably be the last 2K game I buy . . . and with the Show seeing to improve its product every year, it may be for good.
