Re: NBA 2K17 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
How do I get my teammates in MyCareer to throw certain types of passes, like if I'm cutting behind a short defender to just lob it to me? or bounce pass?
Its annoying AF that they either ignore the call or throw it to the opponent and I don't feel any of the different buttons I've pressed to call for a pass have made a difference.Comment

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)
Late contest on laups matter too much.
Random blocks doing pumpfakes.
Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
So I altered the TWolves' uniforms in MyGM, but they don't show as options.
Do they show in year 2? I know that if you choose your own home city in Relocation that you don't need approval for upgrades, uniform changes, etc., so just wondering why they don't show up.
Yes, I saved them, and they're still there in the Relocation menu.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Teach me what Pre Rotate means, please. I am guessing it means that the D rotates to that man early, in anticipation of ball movement, so he doesn't get an open opportunities? Sort of like a "priority" rotation...? To be used on Carmelo, Durant, et al? Confused.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
What is the best way to play with Ben Simmons? He's not a shooter and he's not real quick so I'm having trouble utilizing him. His best position to play, good offenses to run, what he does best...etc. Any help would be great! ThanksComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
If you play him at PF and use him as the PR ball handler, good things will happen. He has high passing and dribbling ratings so drive off the screen or hit the open man.
He's also DEVASTATING in the open court and can bully dunk on the last man back.
Then, when the D starts doubling you, assists galore.Comment

Did they take out the "rebound and go" animations from years past for fast breaks?I'm having a hard time getting guys to do it.

Re: NBA 2K17 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Since I didn't get much Feedback in the MyCareer Forum I'll try it here:
Hello,
Could anybody take the time and advise me on a good Center build? I asked Sam from Sam Pham about this since he posted two very nice builds on his channel:
Now I sent Sam a message and I might as well quote it here instead of repeating myself:
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"><tbody><tr><td style="background-image: url('/forums/images/quotes/04.gif');width:37px;height:1px;" width="37">
</td><td style="background-image: url('/forums/images/quotes/00.gif');width:100%;height:1px;" width="100%"> I do have a question though. I have checked your tutorials in terms of creating a position/archetype combo that can be successful. I'm a bit torn between the Glass Cleaner and the Post Scorer you showcased. I always loved to play Center the years before since I really enjoy swatting shots and rebounding and just being a big guy. However one think that irked me to no end was that, even though guys like Dwight Howard, Andre Drummond and KAT and to some degree even an early Shaq, could, can, did and do run the fast break and are very quick and mobile my Center in NBA 2k always felt like a bus to move around the court and was therefore extremely outmatched in the park. In your opinion, what would you say would be the best setup for me? Should I even go for a center? Or is it a waste, if you go for a big man, not to go for a center instead of a PF? Or might a tall Small Forward be more what I'm looking for? Personally I'd like to have a center that is mobile and fairly quick for his position but still can be a very good defender and rebounder. I'd also like to have a decent set of offensive skills. Last year and the years before it felt a bit boring on offense since all you could really do was post up which felt out of place for a lot of offenses and slowed them down too much. So personally I would like to be able to post up decently, play the pick and roll decently and have a decent to normal midrange shot so I can drain the occassional open jumper or fadeaway from a high post up position. I don't necessarily need a 3 ball since I prefer playing more of a banger.
