Yep I could change them. The sliders were set up to give a simulation game play on the higher levels with ACE maximized. So the higher levels are supposed to be smartest AI and realistic shooting close to 2K16 and previous versions SIM. There is a chance that the sliders are off. It doesn't just effect CPU the user as well.
There is a lot of stuff going under the hood of the game that we don't know about but if Mike Wang is in here willing to change the slider settings to get a better realistic representation of the shooting is "default" then people in here are going to provide our feedback.Comment

As crazy as it may sound (and unappealing) - I found the best results I've had thus far have been on All Star level.
But then I drag my sliders down to match the CPUs.
It seems to slow the CPU down (in terms of pace) and FG% seemed a bit better.
I've watched full games (AI vs AI) on Superstar and HOF and they play at a pace that's so frantic..... its jarring.

I have no problem with the "default" sliders being tweaked on superstar and HOF for offline. That's what I've done. I just don't want the settings tweaked for online since I'm currently getting realistic percentages

Online is going to be slightly different because you have to add the slight lag component to the equation. They usually tune offline separately then online.
Online in my opinion is harder to gage because they have to do certain things that account for more or less lag and the duration of the game isn't long enough to get an accurate flow of the game.Comment

Also with the variety in playstyles and skill gap between users being a factor I don't want them to adjust the shooting. Especially since the game hasn't been out even a week yet, so for me their can't be enough data

Yeah I wonder if the CPU is using run in transition as an exploit to see if you can stop it first lol. It may be a bug on those higher levels somewhere. I would think the CPU should be way fatigued though the way they were playing. I had the CPU attempt 100 shots last night Cleveland against me using the Blazers. Kyrie and Lebron was getting out on the break on rebounds if Kyrie got it he was jacking shots. I am routinely getting into ~120 pts games with the CPU on SS 12 min.
You know what I started off playing on All-Star and the pace was fine for the teams I played against was getting ok FG% nothing too dramatic. I didn't touch a slider. Then I bumped it up to SS played games and repeating games to see how the shooters were playing who was consistently making shots.
Overall I probably would agree All-Star Default felt more right than what I am seeing on SS even with adjusted shooting sliders. I will play some more tonight and provide feedback. I don't recall all the fast breaking on All-StarComment

I agree with those saying CPU shooting % is too high. They seem to hit EVERY uncontested jumper / 3 pointer and too many contested shots.
And I'd like to add CPU offensive rebounding being a bit too good/frequent. Or am I the only one getting grossly out rebounded by the CPU?Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh?Comment

I agree with your first statement, as far as offensive rebounding I'm dominating the cpu and users online. Hardly giving up any myself, online it's easier for me bc guys play this all over the place defense giving me good inside position. It's kind of like when you're playing zone defense you're susceptible to offensive rebounds, the same goes for if you're over helping on D

I'm starting to think we have to touch other sliders, i suppose the pace problem is due to the awareness delta. At least for what i saw even awareness reduces long passes and easy baskets after a user's made shot.
I've got a question for Mike. The user gets the same level of ACE on Hall of fame? Cause tactically i feel like on SS/HOF my coach doesn't do his best to stop the AI.

Cool. I was struggling on defense, so maybe constantly helping & rotating is contributing.
I finally lowered CPU shooting sliders, so I'll take note the next few games. I shouldn't have to play EVERYONE so tight, trying to contest every shot.Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh?Comment

ACE does nothing for me.
I tried superstar difficulty + custom sliders (def/off awareness to 65). After losing a bunch of games, I switched to rookie + custom sliders (same sliders as before). The game played exactly the same. There was no difference in AI behaviour whatsoever. Then I lowered CPU def awareness to 0. AI behaviour was still the same. But I was able to score afterwards.
Conclusion: ACE doesn't do anything.Comment

I've submitted the slider changes to Superstar and HoF offline. Here's a summary of what I changed:
Remove AI boosts in Steals, Blocks, Ball Handling, Off/Def Rebounding, Layups, Hands, Contact Dunk, Onball Def. and Hustle.
Reduce AI boost in Off/Def Consistency
Shot Inside (User/CPU): 40/45
Shot Close (User/CPU): 40/45
Shot Medium (User/CPU): 45/48
Shot 3PT (User/CPU): 45/47
Again, this is only for Superstar and HoF offline play. Update should go out tonight around 2AM PST.Comment
