thanks, one more question, kind of how chaining works, do you wait for the half spin to play out before triggering the stepback? Or do you enter the half spin and then immediately enter the input for the stepback and they play out in succession. Im struggling to put moves together. I can do the moves seperately, but i always seems like I'll do one move, stop. pause, then the second. by that time the defender even if fooled initially is back on up me. hope that makes sense to read.

Re: what happened to dribbling?
The Cross/Snatch back creates space, The second BTB creates angle, the launch catches them adjusting to the angle.
So much stuff to doFemale Russell Westbrook.

You really gotta play around with it in practice to get the timing right. I would have to say you do it ALMOST immediately. Do it too fast and you might not give the move enough time to play out. If your doing a double behind the back crossover it has to be done immediately. So I suppose it varies from my personal experience.Comment

Re: what happened to dribbling?
My new Park goto is Kyrie Between the Legs->Behind the back (Animation turns into the Kyrie Hesitation Behind the back Snatch back from the uncle drew vids)->Behind the back->RS back/LS forward (Behind the back launch).
The Cross/Snatch back creates space, The second BTB creates angle, the launch catches them adjusting to the angle.
So much stuff to do
This is so beautiful in motion haha moves like that are as exciting as a dunk to me. Would of been nice to see a video attached to this so people could see.Comment

Re: what happened to dribbling?
Classic case of people disliking a new system just because it's new and they're not familiar with it.
Just work with it and you'll be breaking ankles in no time, trust me. I'm awful on the sticks and can break people down easily this year.
Here is a tutorial if you're having trouble:

Re: what happened to dribbling?
After doing some more testing, it looks like most of the running dribble combos in the game have backward button commands for some reason this year.
If you imagine that your right joystick is a clock, then the commands in 2K17 are:
running double crossover = 3, 3 or 9, 9
running double between the legs = 7, 7 or 5, 5
running between the legs into crossover = 5, 3 or 7, 9
This feels completely unnatural and makes no sense when you consider that the stationary combos have the same normal input commands that they did last year:
stationary double crossover = 3, 9 or 9, 3
stationary double between the legs = 7, 5 or 5, 7
stationary between the legs into crossover = = 5, 9 or 7, 3
Surely this is a bug and not an intentional change to the game?
The button commands feel even more messed up once you get into triple and quadruple dribble moves, because starting with the third dribble in a running combo, the commands stop being backward and become natural again:
running quadruple crossover = 9, 9, 3, 9 or 3, 3, 9, 3
running quadruple between the legs = 7, 7, 5, 7 or 5, 5, 7, 5
Hopefully this can be fixed, because the button inputs should be the same while running as they are while stationary:
stationary quadruple crossover = 9, 3, 9, 3 or 3, 9, 3, 9
stationary quadruple between the legs = 7, 5, 7, 5 or 5, 7, 5, 7
This is all on the 2K camera with the "absolute" joystick controls turned on.Last edited by jyoung; 09-21-2016, 01:47 PM.Comment

Re: what happened to dribbling?
everyone says dribble moves in 2k16 were too automatic and didnt take skill, sure they were in a sense you could spam jamal crawford size ups and shoot but it rarely gave you enough space to shoot or go around the defender, you had to do that move and then chain it into other moves to make it effective. i found it a much smoother system personally, which also wasn't as confusing.Comment

Re: what happened to dribbling?
half spin stepback pretty good. basically just have to hit r2 stick back as soon as you know the half spin has activated it'll initiate the stepback.Comment

I was hoping that it would have been resolved in patch 1.03 but it's still there after last night's update.Comment
