Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
This might be pretty in-depth but I'm all about the customization & I haven't been satisfied with the CAP in the past couple of 2k's, the team customization however was amazing this year. Some stuff I'd like to see though is (& let me know if y'all agree):
Hairstyles:
I feel like when you go to Park you see just about everyone rocking the same hairstyle, blowout fro's & high-top fades. The reason behind this to me is because there isn't any variety for CAP hairstyles. 2k18 should have it to where you could use real player hairstyles & custom hairstyles. (I know using real player hairstyles would be "sort of" hard but they could easily remake them instead of ripping them straight from the scan's model)
My concept of how the hairstyle customization would be like this for instance. Say you want a blowout fro but with a curly grade of hair, you should be able to pick the hair base (which is the blowout fro) and the next step in the hairstyle would be the hair grade/strand (which you could pick from curly, straight, nappy, natural, etc.) and then the next step would be hair length. I feel like having a small, medium and long length is too generic, you should be able to have your hair as long or short as you want it, like a 0-100 hair length modifier like you'd see in the SmackDown vs. Raw wrestling games when you would create your wrestler. Next step hair color & hair color blends (basically saying if you pick black hair but you want the tips dyed blonde, you could do that by picking two hair colors and that would be the blend.) and the last part would be whether if you wanted a part in your hair (look at picture below for examples).
Bodytypes:
There's about 3 bodytypes they had in 2k17 for real players but only 1 you could chose from when creating your player. This a simple fix, you could either make the body type automatically change according to their height-weight ratio or let us choose manually.
Player Accessories:
This year had a pretty good amount of gear you could put on your player, the arm sleeves, wristbands, compression pants etc. All good. But I wanna see some stuff come back. Idk when 2k got rid of goggles but they should make a return. (Horace Grant-style, Kareem-style, etc.) Another good one would be the way your player wears their headband, not everyone wears their headband the same way, for instance, LeBron would push his headband back around his hairline, some players wear their headband to wear it covers their ears, etc.
There are some bugs that need to be fixed as well. Some leg sleeves take your socks away from the player. Just because I have a leg sleeve on shouldn't mean my player cant wear quarter socks. That makes no sense at all and that MUST be fixed in 2k18. There should also be an option to wear different short length's. Most players in the NBA are going shorter like Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, James Harden, Brandon Ingram, etc. so I feel it's only right to be able to choose your length in shorts. (Example in the picture below) And speaking of socks, I believe you should be able to pick what sock color you'd want to wear, white, black, or team color, instead of going by if your on the home or away team because some players in the NBA always wear black socks and some always wear white.
There should also be an option to wear tighter or looser undershirts whether it be long-sleeved or short-sleeved, kind of like how the college & high school players wear (I know it's an NBA game but even in MyPlayer you play college & high school games so why not add it into the customization features?)

Just like dribble-moves let us add seperate shot-creating shots for our characters instead of that one set dribble pull-up sets we get.Comment

Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
I have played mycareer since it was introduced into the 2k series and their were features that were implemented through out its life that could of been expanded on and brung back would greatly improve mycareer going foward. For me the big issue with mycareer since it hit next gen has been the lack of longevity after the work of the story ran its course. So the additions i would like to see comeback also had cutscenes attached to them as well so that will also keep the mode alive after the story is done which is what alot of people
Revamped reintroductions:
Mentors- i believe 2k15 this was added. Would love to see this comeback but this time around maybe with the connections system you implented that can activate or give us the option to pick them as a mentor if that connection is a teammate and depending on how we play on court together we get a timed boost in play. Also after our first yr we can become eligible to become mentors for rookies or younger talent on roster which can improve their play increase their minutes or over stats over time
Social media- the ability we were given also in 2k15 was responding to endorsement opportunities and write to other nba players as you unlocked them. The feature within that i would like to see be brung back is the ability to form big 3's. It was a option but wasnt effective and didnt do anything. Bringing the ability to form big 3s through social media from other nba players throwing the idea through tweets or being persuaded from nba connections you have acquired.
Agents- a nice addition would be to give us 3 preset agents to choose form each have strengths and weaknesses and what the goal they look to accomplish for what best suits the player. Example would be the overview of what you guys have for each team owner in my gm but cater them to agents. And also since we have to deal with vc we can level them up with vc or pay to replace agent with another.
Performance/objectives- this is a older 2k addition but the ability to see how we do against are position match up during the game. We were given a bar and it gave us the indication who was winning the match up and seen a boost in play as the meter filled but depleted when momentum changed. Within that we were given objectives based on our position per game to complete but since we now have vc we can those completed objectives into extra vc instead of affecting team grade.
Attributes- really didnt like the archetypes in 2k17 but i do understand why it was implemented. I believe having archetypes and the current or revisited caps for each but with 2k14 individual attributes broken down so we can choose where we would like to put are vc to our players but still being in line with the caps set for archetypes attributes would be a balance gamers would be welcomed.
Story/cutscene- i believe 2k14 was a decent blueprint to how mycareer should be in terms of flow of content. Setting up the theme sells the story so less story more cutscenes would be very beneficial imo. Many people arent as as compelled to the story as much as they are the cutscenes dealing with things on the court or potential awards. I feel the missimg link is the decisions you make off court doesnt affect on court in vice versa and cutscenes illustrating that would take things up a notch and could be strecthed throughout seasons instead of a drawn out story that last barely the first story.
Rivalry- 2k14 jackson ellis rivalry and games put me in a competitive space each time we met. Seeing a rivalry system implemented would give meaning to games and individual player matchups. I think the easiest way to get it running is through the same conference seeing that u play your same conference opponents the most. A rivalry or rivalries can be brewed by out playing opponents or provoked by media through social media stemming from your play on the court and potential to be the best in your position or entire league.
Sorry for long thread i have more ideas and i dont do threads but i thought i try and share some ideas for a game i grew up with.Comment

Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
First off the 2k series has been moving in the right direction in my opinion. I would love to see them continue to expand on some things though.
1. Expanded stats - The ability to see Pro-am and MyPark stats for the current character you're on. I know we all play different MyPlayers throughout our 2k online careers, and nothing throws off your stats more than player a PF/C and also a shooter. I currently am on my LDD, and I still sit at a 51% 3pt percentage as I inflated it with my sharpshooter early on.
1b. Game highs! Let me see my highest points/assists/steals/blocks/rebounds/etc in a game of Pro-Am.
2. Pro-Am Practice! Most players actually like the idea of running plays, different defenses etc but never have a true chance to practice this stuff. I want to get my 5 on a court and just be able to pass the ball too each other as we develop our plays on offense, or play against 5 bots to test our defense.
3. Create - A - Play for Pro-Am. Also, the ability to use the "Captain's" playbook. All with play design on the floor. This will make the E-League look much better as teams are actually running designed plays.
4. Pro-Am leagues. This would be phenomenal. The ability to make a 8 - 30 team league, all with stats records, awards, playoffs, etc. When you win this stuff you should get the award/trophy/etc in your MyCourt.
5. Ability call plays on defense in Pro-Am. This needs to be brought back, where we can call 2-3,3-2, 1-3-1, etc and not get "Leave Assignment".
6. Gain rep through team Pro-Am. This too me is huge, I love the idea of using a custom court, team jerseys, only playing teams, etc. The problem is there is no reward for even playing team pro-am, as you only gain an insignificant amount of VC. Most people want to continue to rep up, and work towards a max player, but if you were to dedicate time to Pro-Am team, you could not even begin to move onto superstar 5 rep. This would promote people playing as teams more, better competition, and overall better game play rather than continuous beating up pro-am walk-on players who are just trying to get a quick game in.
7. Tweak the badge system. My suggestion would be to have 3 HoF badges based on the Archetype, 3 (of your choice) upgradable to gold, 5 (of your choice) upgradable to silver. I believe this would drastically change what we see on the court. We would then have Playmakers making the decision between becoming a Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry, James Harden, or Chris Paul type PG. We would have Lockdown defenders attempting to be the 3 and D type, while others moved to a Giannis type, and others went for a Rodman type. This system could really help make players "feel" different. I currently play a LDD, and if I had 3 badges to upgrade to Gold, do I go shooting with Corner specialist, Deep range dead eye, and limitless range... Or do I go more with Hustle Rebounder, Post Spin Technician, and Rim Protector... I truly think we would start to see players break the "mold"
8. Add more badges. Bring back stuff like King of Euro, Post hopperator, Hook shot, etc. the more badges we have added into to the above system would definitely make for unique players on the court.
9. Highlights during Pro-Am half time and end of the game. Each play should generate a "highlight" score, and these should be replayed at half time and post game. Most of the time players get quickly tired of highlights in mid game as they try to rush through with their mycareer against computers, because it doesn't matter what you did, it's versus the computer and no one else will see. Against human opponents this is much different, people are always "flopping" when something nice happens for a reason. I think this would be loved by the community as you saw yourself "dropping" someone with an anklebreaker, blocking a dunk, or hitting a 3 in someone's face as time ran out.
10. Ability to team up for Pro-Am quicker. Time is a precious resource for a lot of gamers, and it just feels a little odd that it takes so long to just get it going to play the game. Then if someone has an error, or something happens this turns into a 20-30 minute affair to just get everyone playing in the same game.
11. Queue system for Pro-Am walk-on. I just finished a game that had 4 centers on 1 team. Let us choose our position and "queue" for the next pro-am game, and whether it's 1 minute or 10 minutes, you will at least play a game with 1-2 bigmen, and 3 smaller guys. No one wants to play with 3 centers, versus a team of all 6'2" PGs.
12. Better MyPark courts. I think we are all a little tired of the flat ground multiple courts design. Let's get back to the nice parks (NBA Live 16 had amazing parks to be honest) that actually are visually stunning. I want to feel like I'm at a Park, not a rep grind factory.
13. Another suggestion on a different way badges are earned. This is a radical suggestion for badges that would require a completely different look at how we earn them, but give unique results. This would reward badges (and upgrades) for what you did (like the old way) but at the same time, your badges would degrade over time if not used. While someone might be on the Park shooting corner 3s with a Glass Cleaner just for the badge, if they stopped shooting corner 3s, over time they would lose the badge. This would have people gain badges based on what they actually do on the Park and Pro-am. This would definitely make players very good at acouple things, and mediocre in things they rarely do (like badges are rewarded by the developers anyways right?)
Off the wall suggestions -
Make the Park / Pro-Am (walk-on) part of a campus. Allow players to walk from one park (nicely designed) to another, and into the local gym (Pro-Am walk-on games)PSN: ODB_BZA

Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
Playing off this idea, if they continue with badges, I would still want to see my career as the place to earn badges for pro am and park players. I would love to see an online and an offline career. The offline career would still use VC, but it could be more customizable. You'd be to decide if you want cutscenes, if you want to use sliders etc. It should focus more on MyCareer as a separate mode.
The online can still be played as a career mode but everything these characters earn, from badges to attributes, go towards park, pro am.
I also would love if tweaks for online could optionally be applied to offline modes at least. Maybe even online my leagues so people won't have to keep adjusting sliders.

Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
I just want they to separate MC from online modes and the possibilty of have different body types for your player.
I mean you can't create for example a player similar to Kevin Durant on MC because the cap attributes and cause the body type is always the same no matter what the position you play.
If you prefer an inside player like Shaq it's impossible too you can't have that body never.
If not i think i'm going to skip 2k18.Comment

Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
Add ride the hip animations on defense
remove the auto-post up every time we try to drive to the basket
Remove canned animations where we can't break out of them (like when the player starts celebrating after a clutch shot and you can't break out of it and play defense)
Rework the whole system with contesting and blocking shots, its way too easy right now, you can rarely drive to the paint without getting stuffed online
Fix layup animations. They're absolutely horrible right now
Bump ball security up by about 30000000%. I shouldn't be losing the ball every time i do a behind the back or spin moveComment

It's a lot of things but I haven't read this thread. So something small I wish for is being able to view gametrack replays, POG Highlights and player highlights in online games like ProAm, PlayNow, and Teamup like we could in older 2Ks.

Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
I'm pretty sure some guys have covered some of the things I was going to say.
I have one small request. Remove the screen shake during FT's from the game. All I t does is prevent you from seeing the players rhythm and causes input lag. I have almost mattered it to the point where I can easily make someone miss 1 or both shots.
It's an arcade feature that shouldn't be in online modes especially since it's almost an exploit.
I suggest going back to the old way with just getting the crowd to make noise. The vibration is fine it's the screen shake that needs to go.

I am guessing 2K won't feel the need to do that because these systems have recording options now. But I am sure people would use it if added.

Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
Would love to have a "short roll" option on the PnR menu. Just passing early on the normal "roll" option hits the roller in stride to the rim a lot of the time, instead of putting your pf in that Draymond 4v3 survey the court position.
Speaking of Draymond, I think this would help his CPU self play a lot more authentically in PnR and less like Ryan Anderson.
Would also be nice to be able to change the default from "roll" in the menus, so someone like Ryan Anderson could default to fading , saving the user from having to hit an extra button every play.

Re: **Official NBA 2k18 Wish List Thread**
-When creating a player, I'd like to see how the number rating changes for each attribute category when playing around with height, weight, wingspan, etc... I'd like to know this BEFORE creating a player and going into the cut scenes
-Open court in MyPark where players can just shoot around. Would be a good place to squad up with other players instead of walking around.
-Game-winning replays for park games
-Ability to edit the handedness of our playersComment
