this entire thread isn't about the actual problem.

it's the acknowledgement of that problem.

with no official word, the best we have on a game breaking exploit from 2k is:

"It's not my domain"

and that's ridiculous.

Well man what else do you expect from Mike? Him to tell you it will be fixed for sure soon? - he can't tell you that unless he is informed on if it will be fixed - but if anything you can be sure he is aware of the problem since we just made him aware if he wasn't before. Now we either wait or complain - doesn't matter - if they can find a way to fix it they will. At the end of the day this is the way companies these days do things. Hardly any video game company communicates 24/7 with customers. Why? well they may be extremely busy for all we know. Point is - it's always been like this. We buy a game knowing the stability is not always guaranteed - tons of games have problems - and that's fair. Technology is unpredictable. How the heck the people who find glitches find them is unknown. But it only reinforces that statement - technology is unpredictable. If they could predict this would happen great - but they are not psychics. It is what it is. We are all annoyed btw - but there's nothing we can do other than sell the game. And I for one won't. I'm having fun regardless. And I'm sure glitches and problems will be patched. As it has happened tons of times before. And if the people who did the glitch suddenly get a corrupted file for breaking how the game is intended to run. Well maybe consider it harsh justice.

To be completely honest this thread is full of bs. I don't see anywhere in that statement anything about an overall glitch there talking about the shot meter being a 98 isn't going to glitch your shot meter
And quit complaining about these people making shots learn to play defense and standing in front of someone is not contest. All I understand from these threads is that noneya know what defense is

People cheated the system to get 150 of 150 attributes it's that simple and in the twitter thread he's talking about 98 overalls lol.

"talking about the shot meter being a 98 isn't going to glitch your shot meter" doesn't even make sense.

Mike Wang has seen this thread now so bashing OP or anybody is unnecessary. Whoever handles the cheating department should be notified and hopefully they delete the players (although I'm hoping for a 2 week ban so they know that it won't fly).

Maybe just somehow allow the glitch - just not for online. This glitch has potential to atleast bring some positives.

Don't think that would work at all because there is no way to differentiate who solely plays MC & goes online

BTW guys - in another thread someone said this glitch has been patched - not sure if official. If it's true the only other thing to ask yourselves is if 2k is gonna penalize these players. I assume from overall alone one can tell who did the glitch maybe? Since most would be 95.

Indeed if you go to the free agency list they tell on themselves. The attributes bought is saved server side for 2K so they should know everyone who has done it.

Dont even ban them, the punishment should simply be deleting their myplayer profiles that contain 98 overall players and they should be given a warning. At the end of the day people still want to play and have fun. Just delete their 98 exploited players and make them restart.

its not hard to spot them the only way your hitting a 98 overall is if your a superstar 5 which nobody is at the moment.

FWIW, Ronnie has come out on record (Twitter) in the past announcing users would be banned for doing *xxx* so ya it's safe to assume that Mikes acknowledgement of the true issue will be passed on to those who can effectively respond.

Let's drop the pitchforks lol I honestly got a laugh out of the revelation because it shows how much attention this shot meter glitch and shot tuning influx of queries has truly bogged down Mike.. ya it's become overwhelming and I'm past the laughing period now and am ready to be calm and let things take their course

Also @ not mattering, it matters. Because if you leave something untouched compared to maxing it, it's a huge difference. Even if you just top things off. I think 2k kind of has a break point approach to attributes, so yes passing breakpoints, esp for shooting, does matter.

The "Threshold" is real. You definitely get better animations out of the game at certain attribute levels. Once I upped rebound I started getting the huge 2 handed vertical catch rebs, instead of the short hop ones.
Same with speed with ball. 82 seems to be the threshold for explosive dribbling.

If the glitch still works I'm gonna do it, to be honest, because I have no intention of playing online and my progression is capped and hindered for not plant online. I live in the UK right now which means it's horrible to play against the bulk of 2K players, even my guys from back home.

Well maybe someone should have posted that article rather then quoting something about a shot meter. I don't see why everyone's complaining there not hard to defend against and realistacally there not gonna have much more of an advantage except for a few attributes in a spot where it probably doesn't make a huge difference. I think there's other things that need to be fixed before worrying about some players getting 98 early. 6 months down the road this thread becomes obsolete anyways.

Not gone lie i glitched and got over on the system im a 96, my reason for doing it is simple. Because I wanted 2. I been playing games all my life but i dont have the time 2grind for badges , vc, superstar 1 rank, and attributes caps at the same time. I work fulltime got a kid to raise when i get time to play i want to ball out period, fact matter is i dont feel bad becasue u got speed boosting back , sharp shooters op shooting from half court getting green lights , mypark cards being played at the end of gamez to get a advantage , this whole game bullcrap, so u gone crap or get crap on period
