I didn't say they were useless. I said it is pointless to play a sharpshooter besides for pro am to really stretch the floor against elite zone defenses or in park as a speedboosting sharp.

If you had a sharpshooter for other reasons then the 2 above, you'd always get better results playing the equivalent player to your sharp ( 6'7 sharp is only better for the pro am reason -> otherwise the 6'7 playmaker eats him alive in every other invorenment like park).

You had said they were pointless my bad besides having limitless range. I disagree w/ that and with what you've added.

I don't know what SS's you've played with or seen but I don't share that same experience and still don't believe they need any type of boost whatsoever.

At this point, I'm practically daring people to shoot.

Honestly, it feels like mid ranges was affected as well lol. I am usually money from mid, I was getting a good amount of white bars. Maybe I was off from there though. Didn't play as much. I'll play a lot more today to see.

I was as well. It makes it a lot easier to play defense lol. I let people do all their little dribble moves or whatever behind the line.

Shooting in general was affected, it seems. It's just crazy, though, that most everyone is pretty much self-check out there once they're ran out of a catch and shoot situation.

It's kinda sad, though, because now it's forcing people to drive. Problem with that is fouls simply aren't called in the paint like they should be, and because people now have the ability to just jump up and down with no penalty, so it's forcing people into even worse situations, lol.

I already saw Twitter is blowing up over this, but I say Mike should let this one ride for a while until people shut up. It's actually refreshing seeing Playmakers actually have to utilize the pass button instead of thinking they need to dribble 20 seconds out of the shot clock until they get an open shot. Saw more passing yesterday than in the entire lifespan of 2k17's Walk On.

This update is growing on me , think I like it actually. Just took some adjustment because the 3 was so overpowering and tempting to take all game.

Wish it was like this earlier I made have made that post scorer. The only thing I would change as mentioned earlier would be the fact that even sharpshooters can finish contested shots in the paint

I like the update. Its more realistic. Even toned down the mid range, which has been cheese for years.

The NBA game is full of 3Pt shooters n shooting yet when I try PNO I'm afraid to shoot 3s with Portland a team I use everyday. Wide open 3s at that.

A bit off-topic but i wonder if any of you guys using RS to shoot and use feedback and realized that the feedback show some very different clocks then the input you've given.

What i mean is that i'm 100% sure that i put the RS down low even if it won't be full 6 it's either 5 or 7 yet on the feedback i see 21 or 1 or even more absurd numbers other than my real RS input.

It's not like it happened after latest patch now; it's been like this since the begining of the year i guess and i just realized i never have mentioned about this, sorry.

                          Hi Beluba

Did yesterday's update change something about the AI bots when playing walk on/pro am?

They smarter and more aggressive in taking shots when open/Attacking the offensive glass.

                          Thanks,

I actually like the update, it makes the game more realistic. But shooting archetypes are a little OP right now, they need to keep working on balancing all the archetypes if they are going to keep the archetypes. I've always played as a Paint Protector and right now I feel they are the worst build after this update. They create no spacing whatsoever, don't have brick wall to set those ridiculous picks like GC, don't finish around the rim that well which I don't get why they are not at least as good as GC, in fact they should be better than them. In a team they are just an offensive liability nobody wants or should want. For the first time ever, truly thinking of doing a stretch for 2k18 which sucks because I always liked representing the PP's.

Why do people act like corner 3's are the only form of spacing on the game? You can be just as important to spacing playing the weakside baseline on the hash mark. Corner 3s aren't the be all end all court position of spacing. My athletic finisher friend dominates games with his mid range playing opposite weakside from me either on the baseline or high post getting kick outs.

So basically, my sharpshooter build will now shoot 80% from three instead of 70%, yeah?

No reason to use my other builds, since said sharpshooter can also penetrate inside and dunk on anyone who's not a paint protector.

Cool 🙄 this is exactly the kind of thing that I hope NBA Live gets right when it drops. Shooting is too easy, but the casuals will say it's not easy enough, that they need to shoot 80% on their open looks with a sharpshooter and any other build should be less than 40%.

When the best shooter of all-time shoots 45% on OPEN three pointers in a season, why is it logical for ANY sharpshooter to shoot almost double that percentage? I get that Park is an arcade mode, more or less, but Pro Am is supposed to be more sim than arcade. That isn't sim.

One problem is the screening. It's next to impossible to contest on sharpshooters when they are getting 2 or 3 screens at a time by guys with HOF Brick Wall, so the shooter just dribbles back and forth until he gets open and then chucks it up, green light.
